Memories of Early Winter in Dalian

Change cities for the weekend! Shanghai to Dalian weekend two-day trip, leaving around noon each day, you can leisurely visit all the popular attractions~ Day 1 - Qinhai Boardwalk - Fujiazhuang Park - Yinshatan Beach - Cross-sea Bridge. This route can be walked, with about one kilometer between attractions. If you don’t want to walk, a taxi costs about 10 yuan (taxis are cheap!) Day 2 - Lotus Mountain Viewing Platform - Haida Cableway - Xinghai Square - Xinghai Leisure Train. Take a taxi to Lotus Mountain Viewing Platform, then walk about 20 minutes to the top, not tiring. On the way, you can see deer and cats, all very friendly~ At the top, you can buy a drink and overlook the mountains and sea, then take the cableway facing the sea down the mountain, feeling the forest’s end is the ocean (ps: the small window directly opposite on the cable car can be pushed open for photos 📷, the cable car glass is a bit blurry inside). There are lots of seagulls at Xinghai Square, with many photographers charging 15 yuan per photo, or 10 yuan if you take many. The popular Sunset Roller Coaster is inside Xinghai Amusement Park at Xinghai Square. Be sure to queue half an hour in advance; I missed the 4:30 sunset… The queue is split into two lines: one for ticket collection and one for ticket verification (group purchase vouchers also need to be exchanged for paper tickets). It’s recommended to split into two lines with your companions for higher efficiency~ About the weather: It’s sunny these two days, wearing a coat is fine 🉑, the seaside wind is strong so it’s best to wear a hat and windproof clothes. About transportation: You can take taxis, the attractions are close to each other. In these two days, no taxi ride within 10 kilometers exceeded 25 yuan, very convenient. About accommodation: You can choose hotels or homestays near Xinghai Square. In the off-season, you can book very nice homestays for just over 100 yuan~ About food: Tried the famous Infinite Shrimp, delicious! Large portions! If you can’t finish, you can pack it back to the hotel for a late-night snack. That’s all~ Dalian is really great 👌
