#traveldiaries Just spent a magical day at Assos Beach in Kefalonia, and I can’t stop thinking about it! 🏖️ The beach is tucked away in a small, picturesque village surrounded by lush green hills and colorful houses. What makes this spot extra special is its tranquil vibe—no crowds, just the sound of gentle waves. Best of all, no entrance fee! It’s the perfect place to relax on the pebbly shore or swim in the crystal-clear water. After enjoying the beach, I took a short walk up to the Assos Castle ruins 🏰—the views from up there are incredible! If you’re hungry, there are a few lovely tavernas nearby where you can enjoy fresh seafood with a stunning view of the bay. It’s also a short drive from Myrtos Beach, another must-visit on the island.
