Inuyama Castle: One of the Twelve Original Castles

Inuyama Castle, a National Treasure, was built in 1537 during the Muromachi period by Oda Nobunaga's uncle, Nobuyasu. The castle keep is the oldest existing one in Japan. Located at the strategic point of the Nōbi Plain, the view from the top floor of the keep is truly breathtaking. The surrounding area features many tourist attractions, including the Kiso River, the old streets of Inuyama Castle Town, and Meiji Mura. Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu each controlled Inuyama Castle at different times, paving their way to becoming rulers of Japan. No reservation needed!
