Rafting in Bosnia was great 🗺️

#rafting I just got back from an incredible rafting adventure on the Neretva River in Bosnia, and I can’t stop thinking about it! 🌊 This was hands down one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. We started our day in the town of Konjic, where the guides welcomed us with warm Bosnian hospitality. The whole trip cost around €40, which included all the gear, a guide, and even a delicious traditional lunch. The Neretva River is absolutely stunning, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic canyon scenery. As soon as we hit the water, the adrenaline kicked in. The rapids were challenging enough to get the heart racing, but not so intense that you couldn’t enjoy the surroundings. Our guide was fantastic, balancing safety with a lot of fun, and sharing stories about the area’s history and nature. The highlight was definitely the untouched beauty of the landscape. Floating through narrow gorges and beneath towering cliffs was surreal—like something out of a movie. 🏞️ We stopped halfway down the river for a break at a secluded beach, where we could swim and relax. The water was refreshing, and it felt like we had the entire river to ourselves. After the rafting, we were treated to a home-cooked Bosnian meal at a riverside cottage. The food was simple but hearty, and it was the perfect way to end the day. If you’re in Bosnia and Herzegovina, rafting on the Neretva is an absolute must-do. It’s an adventure that combines adrenaline, nature, and a touch of local culture in the most beautiful way.
