The Gaojiaya architectural complex of the Wang Family Courtyard took 16 years to complete. Built according to local conditions on the loess plateau, it features staggered elevations with courtyards within courtyards, gates within gates, main and side courtyards, winding and secluded paths; front and back courtyards arranged with clear hierarchy; secret passages for emergencies, and four gates that enhance its grandeur; combining southern and northern characteristics, it is both practical and beautiful. What stands out especially are the unique designs of the wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, and various doors and windows. These provide valuable materials for research and reference in architecture, residential studies, folklore, history, and arts and crafts. Inside the south gate, the plaque above the hanging flower gate bears the inscription "From One Mountain and River," which clearly reflects the original owner's mindset, inviting contemplation and admiration.
