Liuzhou's Hidden Gem Park — Longtan Park

If this is your first time visiting Liuzhou like me, you must go to Longtan Park. Known as the "Back Garden of Liuzhou," the park resembles a huge and exquisite bonsai, vividly showcasing Guangxi's unique karst landscape. The park is very large, featuring water bodies such as Mirror Lake, Great Longtan, and Lei Pond. The water is clean and emerald green, with schools of fish swimming, and the lakeside is adorned with abundant pink Bauhinia flowers, which are especially beautiful. The park is lush with trees and fresh air, boasting a rich variety of vegetation, making it a natural oxygen bar in the city. Additionally, Longtan Park is rich in cultural significance. It has been one of Liuzhou's Eight Scenic Spots since ancient times. The famous writer Liu Zongyuan once wrote "Lei Pond Rain Prayer" here. On Lei Mountain, a solitary peak in the park, there are many cliff inscriptions, including "Mist and Rain at Longtan" and "Fairyland on Earth," where you can learn about Liuzhou's history and culture. The park is not only scenic but also perfect for photography. If you don’t have a photo companion, you can hire a photographer for 5 yuan to help take pictures (the photographer will guide your poses and provide simple props like flowers and sunglasses). 📸 The Crooked Neck Tree: The park’s "internet-famous" landmark, full of loneliness. With the open lawn as a backdrop, any casual shot looks like an ink painting. 📸 Mirror Mountain: The popular "Cliff Window," where a giant rock crevice forms a natural frame, framing the distant mountains and waters with great depth. Unfortunately, it was closed when I visited. 📸 Wind and Rain Bridge: The park’s "top attraction," full of ethnic charm. The S-shaped curve is a classic photo spot. 📸 Jianfeng Pavilion: A hidden photo spot in the park, less crowded and offers a panoramic view of Longtan Park, with many great photo angles!! 📍Detailed address: No. 43 Longtan Road, Yufeng District, Liuzhou City Route 1: Enter from the North Gate → Great Longtan (Crooked Neck Tree) → Mirror Mountain → Wind and Rain Bridge → Exit from the North Gate.
