I was inspired by Golden Kamuy

The name Herring Mansion is misleading. I wasn't looking forward to the visit but the mansion is an extravagant recreation of a Samurai house built from expensive materials as a gift. Great view with a nice authentic Japanese atmosphere. We managed to try on some traditional kimonos for free. It is the sacred place of Golden Kamuy. The ``Otaru Shukutsu Herring and Otate Festival 2024'' held on the coast was a great success, and the charcoal-grilled herring and otate (abbreviation for Otaru scallops) were really delicious
