Once a private island reserved for royalty, this lesser-known island is only 12 kilometers away from Emperor Island, offering few visitors and beautiful scenery

After comparing Phi Phi Island and Emperor Island, I ultimately chose Emperor Island, mainly because it's closer to Phuket—just a 12-kilometer journey by speedboat takes about 30 minutes, and the cost-performance ratio here is higher. The island is not large and seems to have been developed in recent years; it doesn't have many residents, so it's very quiet. It is said that this was once an exclusive holiday island for the Thai royal family, with a superior surrounding environment, featuring pristine crescent-shaped beaches and clear jelly-like seas, and the scenery is no less stunning than that of Phi Phi Island. The island is primarily home to resort hotels. When I visited, there weren't many tourists, so the island was relatively peaceful. Due to its distance from the mainland, the water here is crystal clear, and diving into the sea reveals well-preserved coral reefs and a variety of tropical fish. Sailing out to sea on Discover Catamaran's private yacht, diving, and paddling made each day fulfilling. There are day trips to Emperor Island from Phuket, which take about 40 minutes and are quite suitable for the elderly and children. However, I personally recommend staying on Emperor Island for a night, mainly because a day trip is too rushed and tiring. The resort hotels on the island are very nice and worth experiencing.
