Just a 40-minute drive from Sapporo, "Jozankei Onsen" is a century-old hot spring surrounded by valleys and forests, known as the "back garden of Sapporo". It is said to have been discovered by a monk named Meisen Jozan who came from Bizen in 1866. The spring water is a colorless and transparent salt spring, and the salt content can prevent sweat from evaporating, making the whole body warm and not easily getting cold after soaking!
