Seoul, South Korea② | The Presidential Residence Cheong Wa Dae and Gyeongbokgung Palace

🎡🎡🎡 Main Features: Korean Drama Scenes, Presidential Residence, Review of the History of the Joseon Dynasty (Gyeongbokgung Palace) 🔝 During the Spring Festival of 2015 when we visited, Cheong Wa Dae was still the presidential residence of South Korea, so it was not completely open to the public but only partially. Cheong Wa Dae, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and the National Folk Museum of Korea should be considered as one scenic area, and it takes a morning to visit the whole place. After the Spring Festival of 2022, the current presidential residence has been relocated, and the main building of Cheong Wa Dae and the interior of the presidential residence are now open for public visits. Time flies, it's been 8 years already, OMG. Cheong Wa Dae is located in Hyoja-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul Special City, South Korea. It was once a detached palace of the Goryeo Dynasty, and in 1426, after the Joseon Dynasty established its capital in Hanyang (now Seoul), it was used as the rear garden of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Buildings such as Longwu Hall, Qingnongzhai, and a martial arts training ground were constructed, and a piece of land for the king's personal farming was also opened. Cheong Wa Dae was newly built during the presidency of Roh Tae-woo. The main building of Cheong Wa Dae once served as the presidential residence of South Korea. It housed the president's office, reception hall, conference room, living quarters, and the annex building included the secretariat, security room, and guesthouse. 📺 The filming location of the Korean drama 'Rooftop Prince', which is why it left a deep impression. If the weather is good, the photos are very beautiful, with Seoul's blue skies☁️. Being close to the sea is great; pollution and such are blown away quickly, unlike our Chengdu's big basin.
