Which reminds me, yes one can rent those traditional dresses. Infact it is promoted. Should you be dressed in a hambok, your entrance would be free. (just for information it is otherwise 3000 Korean won which isn't much) The palace is a splendid experience. It is steeped in history and traditions. It is a massive complex and there is a lot of walking to be done. Even from the nearest metro station I remember it being a bit of walk. The palace complex is filled with spots for pictures and the palace itself is very beautiful. There is lavish decorations, chandeliers and ornate furniture all around.
