Nyonya Porcelain: Born to be Gorgeous!

"Nyonya porcelain" refers to a type of decorative pastel porcelain produced in Jingdezhen in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China (late 19th century to early 20th century) for the Peranakans (Chinese immigrants in the Malay Archipelago, Indonesia, and Singapore, with men called Baba and women called Nyonya). 📷📷📷📷 Nyonya porcelain is colorful and gorgeous, with red (magenta, pink) and green (emerald, aquamarine) as the main colors. It is practical and simple in shape, mostly used for daily use, such as flower-mouthed bowls, flower-mouthed plates, teapots, tea trays, four-handle jars, lidded jars, lidded cups, milk jugs, folded basins, soap boxes, needle spoons, high-footed spittoons, and cool stools, with few decorative porcelain pieces. 📷📷📷📷 After a period of prosperity, Nyonya porcelain gradually faded into obscurity. For porcelain lovers, it is a niche product because it was produced late, was only popular in a small area, and was used for daily use in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, rather than as a rare treasure for the royal family. However, I personally like it and want to collect a set.
