A day of city riding in Suzhou before the typhoon. I came to Suzhou for a two-night, three-day trip during the Mid-Autumn Festival. I had almost finished my travel guide, but I was caught off guard by the typhoon. I took advantage of the sunny weather today to visit as many places as possible. 1⃣️ I didn't consider the Humble Administrator's Garden because I couldn't get up early. I went to the Lingering Garden first. There were quite a lot of people (but definitely less than the Humble Administrator's Garden), and I was able to take some photos. It was still quite interesting to wander around slowly. 2⃣️ Then I went to the Xiyuan Temple. As a southerner, I'm actually a bit immune to temples and ancient streets. So the most attractive thing about Xiyuan Temple for me was the 15 yuan vegetarian noodles, and the Buddhist Studies Institute, which is not open to the public. 3⃣️ I went to Tiger Hill. The scenic spot is actually not that big. You can rent a guide, but I was already too tired to walk. I didn't take many photos while listening to the guide. I finished the tour in an hour and a half. It was only a little after 2:00 p.m. I bought a fruit called "plum fruit" at the entrance of Tiger Hill. It tasted like a long grape, and it was quite delicious, but it was quite expensive. I might have been ripped off. 4⃣️ I went to Pingjiang Road without stopping. I walked along the crowded street until I finally reached the place where I could take a hand-cranked boat. However, it was closed due to the typhoon. I was so sad. Fortunately, I caught the 5:00 p.m. Suzhou Pingtan performance. I experienced the charm of Wu Nong's soft language. It was quite healing to go up and drink tea and listen to music after a long walk. 5⃣️ I highly recommend renting an electric bike to tour Suzhou!! Suzhou's scenic spots are also relatively concentrated. I rented a bike for 40 yuan/day and went to the scenic spots as I pleased! The prerequisite is that the weather is good. If it rains, you'll be a drowned chicken. 6⃣️ After visiting Pingjiang Road, I was going to visit the Net Master's Garden at night, but it was closed at night due to the typhoon. So I went to Jinji Lake instead. It started to rain heavily on the way to Jinji Lake. I was about to reach the scenic spot when I changed direction and went back to the hotel. I rode my electric bike in the rain for almost an hour. ⚜️ All scenic spots will be closed for one day tomorrow, including the museum I had booked with so much difficulty. I'm so sad. I should have booked a better hotel. At least it would be comfortable to lie in the hotel for a day.
