Again Seeing Lou Shui ~ Huang Dun Calligraphy and Seal Carving Works Donation Exhibition Hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Taicang Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Taicang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism, and organized by the Taicang Art Museum, the Again Seeing Lou Shui ~ Huang Dun Calligraphy and Seal Carving Works Donation Exhibition is held at the Huang Dun Art Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Taicang Art Museum. Huang Dun, born in 1947 in Taicang, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the China Academy of Art, an expert with special government allowances from the State Council, and has served as the deputy director of the Academic and Art Committee of the China Calligraphers Association, among other positions. He has also served as a judge for national calligraphy and seal carving exhibitions many times. Huang Dun pays equal attention to artistic creation and theoretical research. His calligraphy and seal carving works won the First Prize in the National Seal Carving Solicitation Competition in 1983 and the Grand Prize at the 1999 World Calligraphy Jeonbuk Biennale in South Korea, among other honors. He is the author of "Annotations on Dong Qichang's Calligraphy Theory," "History of Ancient Chinese Seal Theory," and the chief editor of the twenty-one-volume series "Seal Styles of Various Dynasties in China" and "Complete Works of Chinese Calligraphy: Dong Qichang Volume," among others. 1.
