Georgia | You will be healed by a one-day CityWalk in Tbilisi

| You will be healed by a one-day CityWalk in Tbilisi. The old town of Tbilisi is small and well-connected, making it a perfect city for strolling! We stayed near Liberty Square, which is also the center of Tbilisi, and from there, you can head in any direction for different views. Liberty Square was established during the 19th century under Russian rule, and heading southwest → Tbilisi Sioni Cathedral, you'll pass by various coffee shops and flower shops. There's a delicious ice cream shop called Luca Polare that you should try if you come across it 🍦 Crossing the Kura River takes you to → Metekhi Church, where there are many boats and sightseeing buses soliciting passengers along the river. If you're tired, you can take a boat ride to enjoy the breeze, which is very chill. Exiting Metekhi Church and heading north, you'll reach Tbilisi's famous golden-domed church → Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the Caucasus region. They provide free headscarves at the entrance, and the interior dome is very high, worth a visit ⛪️ Return to → Rike Park and take the cable car up the mountain. Along the way, you'll encounter the Peace Bridge, and nearby there's a tunnel with graffiti on both sides that tells the history of Georgia during the Soviet era, quite interesting 📝 At Rike Park cable car station, you can buy a transportation card to take the cable car up the mountain. After getting off the cable car, to the left → Narikala Fortress, to the right → Mother Georgia statue. Narikala Fortress dates back to the 4th century during Persian rule, coinciding with the establishment of Tbilisi. You can walk up the fortress walls for photos; the higher you climb, the better the view, haha. Behind the fortress is the National Botanical Garden, which is also worth a visit if you have time. Following the same path back, you can see the Mother of Georgia statue built to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of Tbilisi. We happened to catch the sunset 🌄, bought a cup of coffee, and sat by the roadside watching the sunset. The lights of Tbilisi began to rise sparsely from all around, and the golden dome of the Holy Trinity shone even more brilliantly at night. Afterwards, there are small paths on both sides of the Mother of Georgia statue that lead down the mountain. Walking straight down leads to Gudiashvili Square, with lots of delicious restaurants nearby 🍴 That's the CityWalk of attractions. In the next part, we'll continue with the market and wine festival 🍷
