Helicopters over volcanos

#grouptravel Helicopter tours are everywhere on the Big Island Hawaii. But it really can be a special experience to do this with your group or family. Our helicopter held 6 guests so not the largest available but a comfortable size for our group. Flying over the volcanoes and coastline and sharing in the excitement with my special people was something I will never forget. Getting There - Our helicopter left from Hilo airport. Next to the commuter terminal. If you stay on the Kona side of the island it’s about a 1.5 hr drive over the saddle road (one of big islands best maintained roads) Attractions - volcanoes, lava devastation, waterfalls, desert and rainforests are all items you will see in the hour long flight. After the helicopter ride you can also make your way to Volcano National Park for an up close look at the sites. Cost - $$$$ the helicopter ride was about $250AUD each and worth every cent. Or entry to Volcanoes National Park is $30 for 7 days.
