The perfect mountain residence in Liang Sicheng's heart

Located at the southern part of Wuyi County, Xiaobaocun Village lies in the Daxikou Township, an inconspicuous historical village. The village was originally inhabited by several families with the surname Bao, hence the name Xiaobaocun. Built along the narrow valley flanked by the Jinxi River, the village follows the natural terrain, surrounded by mountains with lush forests and good vegetation. The crystal-clear Jinxi River and Gangtan Stream flow through the village, providing a constant stream of water. Liang Sicheng included this place in his 'History of Chinese Architecture', which attests to its historical and cultural value.
