Piano Museum

The Gulangyu Piano Museum, divided into two floors and two museum buildings, displays many ancient pianos collected by the patriotic overseas Chinese Hu Youyi. The square piano made by Clementi in the early 19th century is the largest in the world, with the loudest sound. The ancient double-keyboard piano made by piano master Schun in 1906 has 4 sets of piano strings, 8 pedals, two layers of piano keys, and the black and white piano keys are reversed. Many pianos have gone through two world wars, and the candlestick lamps used as decorations also have a history of more than a hundred years. Visiting the Piano Museum once is equivalent to browsing the history of world piano development.
