Xichang in November｜Electric Bike Ride Around the Lake to Unlock Hidden Scenic Spots

Maybe it's because we're getting older, but Woo and I prefer a quieter way to explore. When we came in October, we saw that the scenic area had introduced electric bikes, and that started our unstoppable cycling journey. This time in November, we came again to continue riding and unlocked many beautiful scenic spots. Along the way, we encountered a large group of squirrels, magpies, various butterflies, and the air was very fresh. I especially love riding on roads dappled with sunlight and shadows; the sun feels really comfortable. The downside of winter riding is that once the sun starts setting at 5 PM, it gets a bit cold (not just a bit, very cold). Be sure to carry a windproof and warm jacket with you. (The last part of the photos are from October) ⏰Friendly reminder: In summer, be sure to wear a hat, sunglasses, and sun-protective clothing; in winter, also wear a hat (make sure it’s not a lightweight one, a heavier hat won’t blow off easily) and carry a windproof jacket. ⏰Scenic area electric bikes: When scanning the code, always check the battery level. The first time I rode, I didn’t notice the bike was out of power, and pedaling it manually was really hard. The default price is 40 yuan for 2 hours, but at checkout, there’s a coupon for 29.8 yuan for 2 hours. There are many return points, so you can plan your route in advance. ⏰Special attention‼️ If you want to ride around the lake, don’t rent a bike outside the scenic area. Non-locals basically can’t get in. This time, wanting to ride longer, we scanned a code outside the hotel for a bigger electric bike, but we could only ride on the main road (there’s no dedicated bike lane, just fast-moving cars and big trucks, which still scares me to think about). After riding 2 kilometers, we had to return it. Four of us lost 63 yuan each, but safety is more important, especially with two kids along.
