York, over two hundred kilometers away from Cambridge, is much cleaner and quieter than London. The most spectacular building in York is undoubtedly York Minster. "York Minster, also known as St. Peter's Cathedral, is the largest existing Gothic cathedral from the Middle Ages in Europe, and is hailed as one of the most exquisite churches in the world in terms of design and architectural art". Started in 1220 and ended in 1470, York Minster, which took 250 years to complete, is truly astonishing with its grandeur and exquisite patterns. The ticket price is 16 pounds, which can be used multiple times throughout the year; An additional 6 pounds is required to climb to the top (single use), and it is highly recommended to do so. You can see the whole view of York and the grand architecture at the top of the cathedral. As the sun sets, the city seems to be gilded, which is very beautiful.
