Lijiang Family Trip｜InterContinental Hotel Stay Experience + Ancient Town Kid-Friendly Guide

Stayed three nights with kids at the Lijiang InterContinental Hotel, and the overall experience was fantastic—highly recommended for families with children~ The biggest advantage is the excellent location! Lijiang Ancient Town is the largest and most developed ancient town, and the InterContinental Hotel is right next to it. The hotel has a private passage that allows direct access to the ancient town. When the kids get tired from exploring, you can return to the hotel anytime to rest without the hassle of going back and forth—super convenient. The hotel grounds are amazing, composed of small villas, each containing six rooms. The area is quiet and peaceful with fresh air, more comfortable and pleasant than inside the ancient town. Kids can run and play freely in the garden, getting close to nature. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped. While not overly luxurious, they fully meet the needs of families with children. Service is responsive, and any requests are promptly addressed; the shuttle within the grounds is available on demand, so you don’t have to walk and tire the kids—very worry-free. The hotel lobby café bar is a great spot for family relaxation. The coffee tastes excellent, and on clear days, you can see the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly from the café. Enjoying coffee while admiring the view with your kids makes for a pleasant and beautiful family time. Breakfast is relatively ordinary, but for convenience, you can try the rice noodles and wontons freshly made by the auntie on-site, which taste pretty good; if you want a change, you can enter the ancient town directly from the hotel and find various specialty breakfast shops to satisfy both kids and parents. Additionally, right next to the hotel is the Indigo Hotel. Both hotels share garden facilities, and Indigo’s interior decoration is more modern. Parents with kids can also consider it and choose based on preference.
