The facial recognition technology for registration is quite frustrating, with only three attempts allowed per day. The first time I registered, all three facial recognition attempts got stuck. The next day, I succeeded only after standing against a white wall with good lighting. ☑️About altitude sickness ⚠️Oxygen bottles are more affordable if purchased locally via delivery after arrival 💰 One bottle per person is enough ∙Direct flight from Guangzhou to Lijiang lands at over 2,000 meters. I was a bit nervous myself, with a slightly fast heartbeat. After dinner and some time to adjust, I felt normal. But on the first day, it’s still not recommended to jump around; even walk slowly~ ∙It’s advised not to wash your hair or take a shower before climbing ∙At the 3,000-meter Glacier cableway starting point, drink glucose in advance and start oxygen intake on the cable car [‼️Start oxygen early, don’t wait until you feel uncomfortable, that’s too late]. Everything felt normal here. ∙At the 4,560-meter stone monument, stopping for photos felt normal. ∙😵‍💫Starting to walk up the mountain, after a few steps of stairs, I got short of breath and felt head pressure. I rested after walking a bit. I used oxygen intermittently, ate Snickers bars, drank cola and glucose, and used an oxygen meter to keep my oxygen level above 80%.
