🏔️Today I unlocked the "Guangzhou Baijiang Lake Forest Park" hiking trail, 1-1.5 hours drive from Dongguan and Shenzhen. The overall difficulty is not high, with streams and shaded paths all the way. The scenery is very healing, and it's cool to walk and take photos. It's very suitable for urban workers to relax outdoors.

🗺️Travel Route:
1. Navigate to the entrance of the scenic area, buy a ticket and enter from the main entrance. Hike up the mountain on the right side of the stream. After reaching the top of the mountain, you can choose to go down the same way, or take the scenic area shuttle bus down the mountain.
2. Navigate to the entrance of the scenic area, buy a ticket and enter from the main entrance. Wait for the shuttle bus on the left side. Take the shuttle bus up the mountain, then hike down the mountain along the stream.
📸Photo Locations:
1. The waterfall is the best place to take photos, about 3/4 of the way up the mountain, near the top. You can take photos with a windbreaker, it's very cool!
2. There are 3 stone steps to cross the stream in the shallow section, it's good to take photos from a distance.
3. There is a point with a lot of stones halfway through the road, which is also a good place to take photos.
4. There is a path with lush trees after the waterfall, which gives you the feeling of being surrounded by the forest. It's a great place to take photos!
5. The lake at the top of the mountain is also a good place to take photos. There are swans in the lake, don't miss it!
📝Travel Tips:
1. There are 3 retail points in the scenic area where you can buy water and snacks. One is opposite the main entrance, one is about halfway along the stream, and one is near the waterfall near the top of the mountain.
2. Currently, there is only a toilet at the main entrance. There may be one at the top of the mountain (I didn't check, hehe).
3. The parking lot is an open space, currently free.
4. There are many mosquitoes, it is recommended to bring mosquito repellent.

1️⃣ Yunxiu Lake: Enter from the north gate, and you'll find bald cypress trees along the lake. This spot is great for photography, with fewer people and beautiful scenery.
2️⃣ Dafushan's Popular Bald Cypress Forest: This area features a large bald cypress forest growing on land, allowing people to walk in and take photos. Many couples come here for wedding photos.
3️⃣ Qizhanzhen Reservoir: Several patches of bald cypress trees are scattered along the reservoir's banks, with fewer visitors compared to the other two spots.
It takes about an hour to walk through these spots. Cycling is faster, but some areas like Yunxiu Lake and the popular bald cypress forest are not accessible by bike. Some small paths around Qizhanzhen Reservoir are also not bike-friendly. Therefore, walking is recommended to enjoy the scenery and other views.

Our visit to Guangzhou's Liwan lake park was a delightful experience, as we spent the entire afternoon leisurely exploring the vast park grounds. The park's sprawling size made it easy for us to lose ourselves in its tranquil beauty, strolling along peaceful pathways until evening set in.
One of the highlights of our visit was spotting the golden-hued dawn redwoods that stood majestically by the water, their reflection shimmering on the lake's surface. We were also fortunate to see the vibrant delphiniums ,adding pops of color to the lush greenery. As the sun began to set, the park's serene atmosphere only deepened, making it a perfect place to unwind and connect with nature.
