Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui
Aloha, my recent experience at Luana for a special occasion was nothing short of incredible. My partner and I visited the lounge to celebrate his birthday. The atmosphere was delightful. The live music and hula set the mood for a classic sunset experience in paradise.
Chef Royden was extremely attentive, he took time to chat with us about our preferences. His menu suggestions were spot on. Chef Pang stopped by for a quick visit. It made our experience that much more special. Mahalo Chef. The oysters were delicious, the poke bowl was to die for, the Kauai prawns were ‘oh so’ tasty… needless to say we love food and enjoyed every single bite.
As local residents, it’s not always easy to find a great table and experience genuine and authentic Aloha. The people at Kea Lani truly embody the values of the islands, and it shows. We felt right at home.
We finished our visit with an espresso martini at Ko bar. Nick was very engaged and helped us end our evening on a high note. We are still talking about the banana brown butter cake 2 weeks after the fact.
Just a quick constructive note - Crystal our server at Luana forgot to drop waters after we requested twice. Being proactive in noticing empty glasses, instead of waiting for us to flag for attention could have been better. It was busy, we understand. Still, attention to these details will only elevate the experience.
Thank you for a great time.

Don't you get tired of seeing the same shots and locations on Insta?
How do capture the attention of an audience when a destination has been photographed so many times already? We see this happen all of the time. A location gets hot on social media and then your whole timeline is flooded with the same type of imagery.
As a self-taught photographer/content creator, it's not easy being innovative in places that are popping on social media. We get sucked/tempted into wanting to recreate someone else's shot. It's always been a personal challenge of mine to at least try to capture a few images in ways that I haven't seen before. Granted, there are some shots that can simply only be taken from one angle so it becomes a classic shot. Although I'll also take these classic shots, they are usually for me to see and not to post unless I can induce a different kind of mood through editing.
For this shot, I literally tried doing my first DSLR selfie. After a few tries, I got one that looked like someone else took it. I brought the mood out in post-processing with Adobe Lightroom. The key for me is to never over-edit my work to the point where it looks clearly fake (i.e. the blues are too blue and the greens are too green).
Hopefully as you scroll down your feed, this image will cause you stop, evoke some kind of emotion out of you and have your eyes refreshed by the time you scroll down to the next pic on your feed.

Maui offers a variety of trip options, whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural experiences. Here are some popular types of trips in Maui:
1. Beach and Relaxation Trip
Maui’s beaches are legendary. Spend your days lounging on golden sands like Ka’anapali, Wailea, or the secluded Makena Beach. Enjoy snorkeling, paddleboarding, or simply soaking in the sun. Many luxury resorts and spas in West and South Maui offer pampering treatments with ocean views.
2. Adventure Trip
For thrill-seekers, Maui is an outdoor playground. Start with the Road to Hana, a winding journey along the island’s lush eastern coast, filled with waterfalls, black sand beaches, and hiking trails. Explore the volcanic landscapes of Haleakalā National Park, either by hiking the crater or catching a sunrise from the summit. Water activities like snorkeling at Molokini Crater, surfing in Paia, or zip-lining over tropical forests add extra excitement.
3. Cultural & Historical Trip
Immerse yourself in Hawaiian culture by visiting historic Lahaina Town, once a bustling whaling village, now home to art galleries, shops, and museums. Attend a traditional luau to experience Polynesian music, hula, and feasts. Visit the Baldwin Home Museum or Hale Pa’i to learn more about Maui’s history. You can also explore sacred sites like the Iao Valley and the Ka’ahumanu Church.
4. Nature & Eco-Tourism Trip
Maui is a nature lover’s paradise. Take eco-tours through rainforests, explore Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, or go whale-watching between December and April when humpback whales migrate to the island’s warm waters. Visit Wai’anapanapa State Park to walk on the black sand beaches and hike through lava tubes. You can also take an eco-friendly tour of Maui’s Upcountry farms, learning about sustainable agriculture practices.
5. Family-Friendly Trip
Maui has plenty of family-friendly activities. Families can also explore easy hiking trails like Twin Falls and take kid-friendly snorkeling tours to see colorful fish and turtles.
With its diverse landscapes, rich history, and endless activities, Maui caters to every type of traveler, offering unforgettable experiences whether you’re relaxing on a beach or hiking volcanic craters.

Visiting Maui in Hawaii was a magical experience filled with natural beauty. The island offers a variety of views, from golden beaches and turquoise waters to stunning rainforests and waterfalls. She enjoyed relaxing on the beach under the warm sun, and the snorkeling tour was filled with colorful marine life. The experience wasn’t limited to the beaches, either. Sunset Rendezvous
Visiting Maui was a dream come to true. The island's mesmerizing beauty enchanted me from the moment I arrived. From golden sand beaches to lush tropical rainforests, Maui has it all.
One of the highlights of my trip was witnessing a breathtaking sunset at Haleakala National Park. The moment the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange and pink, I was left in awe. It was a spiritual experience, feeling a deep connection with nature and the universe.
Exploring the Road to Hana was another unforgettable adventure. The winding road revealed a treasure trove of natural wonders, from cascading waterfalls to hidden tide pools. I highly recommend taking your time and stopping at every opportunity to truly soak in the magic of this journey.
A must-visit spot on the island is the charming town of Lahaina. Its historic streets are lined with art galleries, restaurants, and boutiques. I spent an afternoon strolling through Lahaina, immersing myself in the rich culture and history of the island.
For food enthusiasts, I can't stress enough how delightful the local cuisine is. Fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and flavorsome poke bowls tantalized my taste buds at every turn. Don't miss out on trying traditional Hawaiian dishes like poi and kalua pig.
In terms of tips, be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen and stay hydrated throughout your stay. The sun's rays can be intense, and you'll want to explore every corner of this paradise without any discomfort. Also, consider renting a car to have the freedom to explore the island at your own pace.
My experience in Maui was nothing short of blissful. The natural beauty, warm hospitality, and captivating sunsets made this trip truly magical. Don't hesitate to make your own memories in Maui, where paradise awaits at every turn.

The natural scenery is amazing-it's truly one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
When it comes to accommodation, there is something for everyone here, from rustic hippie bungalow bed and breakfasts to five-star luxury resort hotels. Dreaming of White Beaches While Home Improvement Calls
Guess who booked tickets for a new adventure? Not me 😂 Because I'm putting the finishing touches on my home renovation and still drooling over pictures of white beaches online.
In between calls about doors, rails, and partitions, I snack on @tuc_russia crackers to boost my mood – they make any task, whether it's watching a series, searching for plane tickets, or designing my apartment, more fun!
Alright, I've planned one trip in the coming months, but I won't tell you where yet! Maybe someone can guess? 😉

Top 3 Black Sand Beach of Hawaii
On the island of Maui, this black sand beach is at the end of the Road to Hana, a 64 mile road trip across Maui’s beautiful coastline and tropical forests. You’ll need to make a reservation a couple weeks in advance and pay a small fee but it’s well worth it if you’re already planning this road trip anyways.

Go for a tasting and learn about how the Hawaiians make Ocean Vodka! The tour is amazing and learn about their Coconut vodka, Rum, and Gin. Very beautiful and peaceful.
Banyan Tree Courtyard is a truly lovely place to sit, relax and take a moment to enjoy history and aloha. After shopping at the nearby shops, enjoying the nearby museums, and eating to your heart's content at the plethora of nearby restaurants such as Kimo's and Top Cat, the courtyard is an excellent place to stop, relax, and digest your meal. And please people, this tree is a national treasure so please follow the posted rules and don't let your kids climb, swing, damage or damage the tree in any way. This is the only banyan tree in the world that expands sideways to form a canopy like a giant umbrella. Sitting under the canopy of this giant tree while watching Caucasians milling about is really cool. There are many handicraft sellers in this park. Take photos with this tree background is really beautiful.
