The river breeze is cold, but the scenery of the Heilongjiang River is beautiful, with one side dark and the other bright blue under the sunlight, embodying the grandeur of a great river. 📍Liming Bay Border River Grassland🌟🌟 In October, the water rises, and the grassland disappears, making it impassable. Vast golden cornfields and wheat fields stretch out, with Russia still on the opposite bank. On sunny days, the blue river water and green grassland create a stunning view. There’s a good chance to see ducks and cows lined up to drink water, experiencing the peaceful rural life of locals. DAY 5 Wudalianchi - Qiqihar 📍Erlongyan Spring Before 10 a.m., parking was blocked, so we had to park 700 meters away on the roadside. However, the spring itself is much larger than expected, with water gushing out (unlike the trickling Tiger Running Spring). It has no special smell but feels refreshingly cool. 📍Volcanic Barrier Lake From afar, the volcanic barrier lake is really beautiful, with blue water contrasting against reddish mountains. The silky lake looks like a magnificent oil painting. Unfortunately, time was tight, so we didn’t take a boat tour. The biggest regret of this trip was Wudalianchi. Due to a rushed schedule, scattered attractions, traffic jams, and core scenic areas being closed, the experience wasn’t great. So we didn’t linger and rushed to the next destination. Hopefully, there will be a chance to visit again～ 📍Zhalong Wetland🌟🌟🌟 The top spot of this trip is definitely Zhalong Wetland! It’s a 20-minute walk from the park entrance to the red-crowned crane release area. During the National Day holiday, there were extra release sessions. We watched the 3:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. sessions—one from a high viewing platform at a distance, and one close-up at a lower spot, just perfect! Several species of cranes and water birds appeared, very elegant and composed. After watching, you can stroll through the reed marshes and enjoy a stunning sunset. As dusk slowly falls, golden reeds sway against the backlight, the sky turns a faint pink, then light purple, light blue, and finally deep blue. The temperature drops noticeably, the crowd quietly disperses, and the bright moon shines alone. DAY 6 Qiqihar - Harbin How can you come to Qiqihar without eating barbecue! We found the very popular Mijia Family Barbecue! It was really delicious and cost-effective! Two big plates of meat + pineapple + mushrooms + cold dishes, nothing was a miss. About 70 RMB per person to eat until full! With the traffic jam on the return highway, it became clear the holiday was ending. I have to say, I envy friends in Heilongjiang when it comes to sunsets. Every sunset is a unique masterpiece, with a clean, clear sky and pure tones, announcing the arrival of night.
