Jeju's Western Fairy Tale Village: A Place Where Forest Fairies Live
Under the clear blue sky, there stands a 100-year-old tangerine tree in 'Today Jeoji,' a private accommodation nestled in a quiet corner of a serene village. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy a private and peaceful retreat. The outdoor jacuzzi in the yard and the swing hanging from the tangerine tree gave us a warm, fairy-tale-like feeling, making us feel like forest fairies for the day. 🍀
The interior of the accommodation is a studio type, but the space is well-separated, and the cute decorations and interior design were exactly to our taste. 🧡 It felt like a small villa in Jeju that I wanted to call my own, so I will definitely book it a hundred times over.

Authentic Local Eatery in Jeju Where Locals Go for Raw Fish
Have you ever seen a golden flatfish? It's incredibly rare to find one in the wild, but did you know you can encounter one at the Nohyeong Fish Center (Nohyeong Seafood Market) in Jeju, where our country has successfully farmed them?
Nohyeong Seafood Market is a favorite among locals, offering a variety of fish to choose from. The restaurant is spacious, and while many people enjoy their meal on-site, it seems even more take it to-go. Side dishes and wrap vegetables are self-serve, and you can choose the composition of the meal and the number of side dishes based on the price, allowing for reasonable consumption.
We first had a mixed raw fish platter, followed by golden flatfish and spicy soup. The golden flatfish was served half torched and half raw, which not only looked beautiful but also tasted great. :)

Jeju Island on a Budget: 2K Per Person | Jeju Island is Worth Seeing!!!.
Jeju Island is Worth Seeing!!!. Just returned from Jeju Island, the total cost was around 2K. Jeju Island is really worth a visit!!!
Please accept this travel guide!!!
I joined a tour group online, which I highly recommend for girls. No need to think too much, it's also quite safe, just enjoy your trip!!!
Preparation before departure:
1. Passport, visa on arrival (remember to bring a black pen for signing)
2. Cash exchange to Korean Won (can be exchanged in advance at ICBC) + Visa card (convenience stores accept Alipay and WeChat Pay)
3. SIM card (Korean data card + domestic roaming) (we rented a car, so no need to buy a bus card)
Travel itinerary
Day 1: Fly from Shanghai to Jeju Island—check into hotel—free activities (we stayed in a downtown hotel, check-in at Korean hotels is at 3:00 PM, there are pedestrian streets around, it's quite enjoyable to walk around and have a meal)
Day 2: Udo Island—Seongsan Ilchulbong—Seopjikoji—Hamdeok Beach (due to limited time, we bought a one-day tour route, visited each place, very convenient)
Day 3: Weekend Special Forces, today we are returning to China, so we just shopped at Shilla Duty Free Shop (the items in the store are quite affordable, highly recommended for girls)—fly back to China
Key attractions
1. Udo Island
White sandy beach, filming location for Korean dramas, unbeatable sea view, definitely worth a visit.
2. Seongsan Ilchulbong
Recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, overlooking sea and city views, also a filming location for 'My Lovely Sam-Soon'.
3. Seopjikoji
One side is a cliff, the other side is the ocean, check out the popular lighthouse and art museum, enjoy the sunset of Jeju Island.
4. Hamdeok Beach
A very beautiful beach, with Rhino Peak nearby, a great place for photos, leisurely beach walks.
As for food, Jeju Island's cuisine is highly recommended. Since I was on a group tour, the guide always gave suggestions for meals, and I tried a lot of delicious food, too many to record, haha!!!
Overall, the visa-free Jeju Island travel experience was quite good, the expenses on the island were reasonable, the environment was clean, there were no major language barriers, and you can experience the feeling of being in a Korean drama. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway!!!

I found the hill of my life in Jeju.
For those looking to find their life's hill in Jeju, make sure to visit this place.
One of the hills famous as a Jeju wedding photo shoot spot,
You can see horses right in front of you and it's a really beautiful place even in summer.
Personally, since horses are grazed and bred here,
Watch out for horse dung! And since it's private property, you need to take photos quickly and mind your manners :)
If you bring a mat, you can take beautiful photos,
So make sure to bring plenty of props.
How to get there: Search for 'Gaeoreum'
Attraction: Entrance by reservation only
jujaecouple_trip
Pack this nanny-level travel guide to Udo Island, it's all solid advice
1⃣️Heading to the pier
🚶Walking: Depart from Seongsan Ilchulbong, 20 minutes away
🚌Bus: Get off at Seongsan Port entrance or Seongsan Port Passenger Terminal
Seongsan Port entrance: Walk 50 meters to the intersection, turn right, walk 500 meters until you see the parking tower, then take the fork to the right front, pass through the parking lot to see the white dome building, which is the ticket hall
Seongsan Port Passenger Terminal: At the fork, follow the directions above
🚕Taxi: To Seongsan Port ticket office
2⃣️Fill out the form and purchase tickets
【Filling out the form】Enter the ticket hall, see the counter with a ferry application form🧾 and pen, fill it out yourself (name, date of birth, gender), one form per group
【Purchasing tickets】Then go to the ticket office on the left side of the entrance to buy tickets, give the form, passport, and cash (10,000 Korean won💰/person) to the window, both ports are fine to go to Tianjin Port⚓️ ships leave every half hour (7:30-17:00) to Mudo Port⚓️ first ship at 7:30, other ships leave on the hour. You will receive two tickets, they will inform you which one is for going and which one is for returning (keep the return ticket)
If you are not familiar, arrive 20 minutes early at the ticket hall, as the ship may leave earlier, otherwise you'll have to wait another hour‼️
3⃣️Heading to Udo Island
The boat passage is on the right side of the entrance, turn left after seeing the Thumb Coffee shop and walk to the end, just follow the people➡️
The first floor is for vehicles going to the island, the second and third floors are for passengers
You need to take off your shoes on the second floor, it is recommended to go to the third floor (best view)
Prepare shrimp sticks in advance (available at convenience stores) to feed the flocks of seagulls following the boat, it's really a full experience. The journey is just over ten minutes, so take the time to take pictures~
4⃣️Transportation on the island
Udo Island is not big, but walking is definitely not wise
【Renting a car】There are many car rental shops near the pier, just choose
Electric bicycle: Rent as you like, leave your passport as a deposit, 10,000-15,000 Korean won💰/bike, ride happily all day, excluding playtime it takes about 1 hour to circle the island (no need to lock the bike, it won't get lost)
Three-wheeled electric car: Can only be rented with an international driving license
【Island Loop Bus】5,000 Korean won💰/person, get on and off at various attractions with the ticket
5⃣️Cycling strategy
Just cycle clockwise around the island along the coastline
Ride, take photos, eat and drink...
6⃣️Attractions on Udo Island
Udo's Eight Scenic Spots: Tianjin Guanshan, Qianpu Wangdao, Xibin Baisha, Dong'an Whale Cave, Ditou Qingsha, Houhai Stone Wall, Daytime Moon, Night Sailing Fish Sail
There are many lighthouses to take photos of, and next to the white lighthouse on the north shore, there is also a stone lookout tower, where many tourists and residents stack stones, it's a wishing sanctuary, locally known as Mani Pile, be sure to stack one✅
7⃣️Food strategy
🦑Haenyeo's Home (not referring to a specific store, similar to Shaxian, with Chinese-speaking staff) Seafood noodles, porridge, and platters, a must-visit for seafood lovers, single price within 15,000 won💰, seafood platter about 25,000 won💰☕️Black Sand Beach Cafe (forgot the name): The second floor has huge floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea and Houhai Stone Wall, eating peanut ice cream and drinking coffee, you could sit here all day~Fried pork cutlet, pork burger... also worth a try✔️
8⃣️Return by boat
After returning the car, give the return ticket to the staff at the pier to board the ship
The last return trip is at 18:00, be sure to arrive at the pier early!
📎To visit Udo Island, you should reserve at least half a day
It's really worth experiencing slowly~
JEFFERSON LEONARD
This was the most successful time following the trend on Ctrip, a truly must-visit island!
Visiting Jeju Island, you must not miss the jelly-colored sea water of Udo Island, which is a gradient of deep and light blue. The colorful little houses by the sea make you feel like you are in a comic world. Regarding transportation, you can take a bus or a taxi to Seongsan Port Station within the city. After arriving at the ticket hall, you need to fill out two forms. There are various transportation options on the island, including buses, rental cars, or bicycles. The bus fare is 6,000 Korean won per person, which allows you to tour around the island. If you choose to rent a car, you must have an international driving permit to enjoy a free and easy journey. Important reminder: Please be sure to bring your passport when buying tickets! Then follow the crowd onto the boat, the journey takes about 15 minutes. The round-trip boat ticket costs 10,000 Korean won, and the last boat back is at 18:00, so please plan your return trip accordingly. Walk around the island, take plenty of photos, and enjoy the joy of traveling!

Never blindly follow the trend to Jeju Island, I'm afraid you'll fall in love with this place!
In this sun-kissed summer, let us embark on a journey together to the gem lost on the north coast of Jeju Island—the Hamdeok Seoubong Beach. Here, nature and tranquility blend perfectly, it's an ideal place away from the hustle and bustle, embracing the azure sea and sky. Get ready, let your soul set off on this blue adventure ahead of time with this curated travel note.
Attraction Introduction: The Whisper of Paradise Corner
Hamdeok Seoubong Beach, a place with a hint of saltiness in its name, is famous for its crystal-clear water and silky sands. Unlike other bustling beaches, Hamdeok retains a rare tranquility and simplicity. Standing on the shore, you are faced with the boundless blue waves, with lush pine forests behind you, and every breath seems to be filled with negative ions, cleansing the dust of the city. Even more surprising, during specific seasons of the year, you can encounter the dreamlike 'blue tears' (bioluminescent plankton) here, with the sea surface twinkling with blue lights, as if stepping into a fairy tale world.
Itinerary: Two Days and One Night, Enjoying the Slow Life
Day 1: Exploration and Relaxation
• Morning: Depart from Jeju City, take a bus (or rent a car) to Hamdeok, admiring Jeju's pastoral scenery along the way. Upon arrival, take a stroll by the sea and feel the gentle sea breeze.

• Afternoon: Enjoy sunbathing at Hamdeok Seoubong Beach, or rent diving equipment by the sea to explore the mysteries of the underwater world. Don't forget to bring a snorkeling mask to closely observe the colorful coral reefs.
• Evening: Walk along the beach to the nearby Hamdeok-ri Coffee Street, choose a cafe by the sea, enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee, and watch the sunset, a sight too beautiful for words.
Day 2: Delve into Nature, Experience Culture

• Return: End the fulfilling journey, return to Jeju City with a heart full of memories.
Transportation Tips: Easy Arrival, Worry-Free Travel
• Public Transportation: Take a city bus from Jeju City to Hamdeok, the journey takes about 1 hour, with frequent services, an economical choice.
• Renting a Car: Recommended for travelers seeking freedom and convenience, Jeju Island has excellent car rental services, you can rent a car from the airport and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, with an excellent driving experience.
• Taxi: Suitable for small group travel, take a taxi directly from the center of Jeju City to Hamdeok Seoubong Beach, although more expensive, it's faster and more comfortable.
Tips: Creating the Perfect Journey

How to spend two days in Jeju Island, here comes the east-west line strategy
I was very lucky to have encountered the sunny days of Jeju Island, and also saw the misty black sand beach on a rainy day, which made the trip worthwhile.
How to play with only two days after returning from Jeju Island? Let the time management master tell you.
Day 1: Shopping + West Line Yemonth Village
It is recommended to stay near Shilla or Lotte Duty Free Shop for convenient shopping, and it's only 2 kilometers to the airport.
The shopping places are all within a one-kilometer walking distance, Shilla + Lotte Duty Free Shop + Baojian Road. Remember to contact the tour guide before going to the duty-free shop to start a group for a rebate, get a gold card discount at the first-floor service desk, and the duty-free shop is open from 10 am to 6 pm.
In the afternoon, take the 202 bus from near Lotte Duty Free Shop to Yemonth Village, it's a direct one-hour trip which is very convenient. Bus stops: Jicheng Village - Hantan Cave (do not trust Google Maps to get off at Yemonth Village station, you would have to walk three or four stops)
I personally think that for the west line, you can choose some attractions and take the bus there, there's no need to charter a car unless your itinerary is really packed.
Day 2: East Line Carpool Day Tour
We placed an order on Fei, chose the Niu Island C line (Niu Island, Xiantian Beach, Seopjikoji, Seongsan Ilchulbong) and were quite satisfied with it, the timing was right and we went to basically all the attractions we wanted to see.
Those with flights after 9:30 pm can arrange for an east line chartered tour, returning to the city around 6 or 7 pm.
You must charter a car for the east line to save time and effort, as the distances are too far.

Jeju Island must-visit spots
I've been to Jeju Island twice! I really never get tired of it, the jelly sea is so beautiful.
These four seaside spots are mentioned in all the guides!
I've organized a comparison and guide for these four places, which you can refer to️
P1 Hyeopjae Beach
P2 Woljeongri
P3 Udo
P4 Aewol-eup
My personal ranking of love for the seaside: Hyeopjae Beach > Woljeongri > Udo = Aewol-eup
-Regarding transportation, except for Aewol-eup, the four places are in the opposite direction, and the other places starting from the city are all in one direction. Hyeopjae is the closest, Udo is the farthest
You can take a bus to get there. (Please refer to the previous separate bus guide for Jeju Island, which is very detailed). To get to Udo, you need to take a bus to the port, then a ferry. You need to bring your passport to buy a ticket
-About Seaview 1: Hyeopjae Beach
I didn't expect much, but I finally went to my favorite seaside! I don't go to other beaches, but I must go here, I think it's also the beach most frequented by locals
The water is very clear and the sand is clean Many people wear swimsuits to sunbathe and swim in the sea.
Especially at sunset, the setting sun on the sea is really beautiful!
There is also a big coffee shop by the beach, very suitable for watching the sea view and sunset
And it feels like the development here is very complete Restaurants and coffee shops for shopping are all very comprehensive Public buses are also very convenient
2: Woljeongri
About 20 minutes' drive from Hyeopjae, you can go together
There are fewer tourists here than at Hyeopjae, it has a quiet amidst the hustle and bustle feel
The sea is also very clear and beautiful
The hot mongle cloud cookie store is right here
There are also many seaside coffee shops, any one you enter is good
3: Udo is quite far If you go, it's best to set aside a day
Transportation on the island includes electric bikes and a round-the-island bus
I personally prefer the round-the-island bus, it's cost-effective and saves energy. One ticket can get on and off at all platforms on the island, every 20 minutes. If you've had enough fun in one place, you can wait for the bus to go to the next stop.
The very popular blanc now Rocher coffee shop on the island is very crowded but the scenery is great
If there's no seat, you might want to try the next-door place.u.do
The second floor facing the sea is also very nice
4: Aewol-eup
Personally, I feel it's similar to Woljeongri and Hyeopjae, all beautiful jelly seas
If you don't have enough time, because Aewol is in the opposite direction, you can choose other beaches
Noraba seafood noodles and slow boat coffee shop are my two favorite shops by that sea
If you go to these two shops, you can't miss them!
-The seaside of Jeju Island is really comfortable. Good weather is even more suitable for the jelly sea! Compared to commando-style tourism, it's more suitable for relaxing, quietly spending an afternoon by the sea~

Must eat this in Jeju 🦀 🐙🍜
My seafood ramen at Noraba in Jeju was truly an unforgettable meal. This was my first meal after my flight from Singapore landed and I was starving.
After we placed our orders, it didn’t take long for the steaming bowl of ramen to be placed before me. I was immediately entranced by the tantalizing aroma of the ocean. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors, with the rich broth infused with the essence of the sea, complemented by tender pieces of fresh seafood.
The noodles were perfectly cooked, adding a satisfying texture to each bite. The combination of delicate seafood and savory broth created a harmonious balance that left me craving more with every spoonful.
To anyone and everyone visiting Jeju, you must really try this!!!

To me, Hong Kong is a place that offers a unique mix of culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to visit Lan Kwai Fong, Happy Valley Racecourse, Tung Chung outlets and...so much more! Taking Hong Kong’s flag carrier will be a big bonus!

Experience a traditional Korean Hanok just like in the Korean dramas at a Jeju Island hotel
I made a spontaneous trip to Jeju Island over the weekend✌️
This time, I experienced a different style of hotel, a Hanok-style hotel near Seogwipo Airport, which is about a 1-hour taxi ride away.
The journey was all on mountain roads, which made me a bit dizzy🥳
The driver couldn't communicate in anything but Korean, which made things a bit difficult, but thankfully the hotel service was great. They helped us call and communicate with the driver, and the fare was around 45,000 Korean won🤟
I booked a room that accommodates up to four people for about 1100+ per night, which works out to 200+ per person. The room was very spacious with one living room + two bedrooms, but there was only one bathroom👀👀
The hotel has a Chinese-speaking housekeeper, which was very considerate, but they do not provide disposable toothbrushes, so you need to bring your own🌟🌟🌟

Jeju Island Accommodation and Dining Guide, just copy the homework and you'll be set
【Stay】
🚏Jeju Island Grand Hyatt Hotel
The hotel is located in the city center, which is convenient for dining, shopping, and car rental. The standard rooms are also 65㎡, and the supporting services and facilities are impeccable. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms offer views of the sea and Jeju Island's cityscape
【Eat】
🚏Acorn Kitchen
⏰Business hours 11:00-17:00
👨👩👧👧You may need to take a number when it's busy
💰Set meal with snacks ₩14000 (about ¥75)
This restaurant is very famous locally, and its signature dish is the green tangerine cold noodles. Buckwheat noodles topped with lots of tangerines, plus hand-ground wasabi and radish puree, make for a very refreshing meal
📍 59 Bukseong-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
🚏True Love Abalone Seafood Pot
Many friends online recommend this place, the ingredients are very fresh, but the price is a bit expensive. Actually, the price of this kind of seafood pot in Jeju Island is more or less the same, so if you want to experience live octopus and seafood pot, you can search nearby for a better value
💰 The abalone seafood pot we ordered ₩60000 (about ¥324)
🚏Alice cafe Alice's Snow Ice
This cafe is located next to a university, and many students come here to eat
Their signature is the matcha series, and the soy milk rice cake and chocolate flavors are also good. I ordered the strawberry matcha one, the snow ice has a great texture, and when you dig in, there are lots of fresh strawberries inside, paired with rich matcha sauce, delicious 😋
💰Average cost per person ¥60
🚏BHC Fried Chicken
If you've seen 'My Love from the Star', you should love their fried chicken! I ordered a combo of cheese and sweet and spicy fried chicken, both flavors were good, and the portion was enough for 2 people
⏰Business hours: 12:00-00:00
🚏Knotted bakery cafe
This place mainly serves doughnuts, the classic and Jeju Island green tea flavors are good
💰₩3500-3900 each (about ¥20 or so)
🚏24h Potato Pork Rib Soup
This place is popular with locals in the city. The bones are big and there's a lot of meat, stewed very soft and tender
1 person serving ₩9000 (about ¥48)
2-3 person serving ₩27000 (about ¥146)
3-4 person serving ₩34000 (about ¥183)
❗Must-visit on Udo Island❗
🚏BLANC ROCHER
Their peanut ice cream is delicious, the shop is very photogenic, and all the seats have a sea view, creating an unbeatable atmosphere
💰Ice cream ₩5000 (about ¥27)
There are many restaurants on the island where you can eat Haenyeo Bibimbap and seafood ramen, and the taste is more or less the same. It is recommended not to choose the ones near the port, as there are many people and long queues
🚏The one I ate at was Udo Stone House, located at 472 Coastal Road, just walk along the coastline on the left-hand side after getting off the boat and you'll see it
Seafood ramen ₩13000 (about ¥70)
Haenyeo Bibimbap ₩5000 (about ¥27)
ALEXA WELLS
Don't want to go to work!! Let's go to Jeju Island to see the sea (with route)
Perhaps only those who have been to Jeju Island can appreciate
The sea here is slow and beautiful...
The road to the sea, the comfortable seaside coffee
The Fuji blue sea beats on the black volcanic rock
Many moments in Jeju Island are worth collecting📷
-
✨Route recommendation⬇️:
Day1: (East Line) Depart from downtown> Udo> Seongsan Ilchulbong> Seopjikoji
Day2: (Downtown➕East Line Sea View) Hamdeok Beach> Woljeongri> Rainbow Road
Day3: (West Line) Aewol-eup> Hyeopjae Beach
-
☑️Udo
After landing on the island, you can choose to rent a car (international driver's license required🪪) or take a bus around the island🚌 There are many slopes and S bays extending to the beach on the island, and cute seaside cafes along the way, relaxing and comfortable~ Walk and take pictures📷
☑️Seongsan Ilchulbong
The mountain top plank road leading to the sea ↔️There are two roads to go, if you don't have much time and just want to take pictures, it is recommended to take the free route on the left, downhill without wasting legs to see the sea🌊
☑️Seopjikoji
Black reef🪨 and Fuji blue sea, countless romantic coastlines in Korean dramas, step by step to the sea plank road, romantic lighthouse on the top of the mountain, how to take pictures are very atmospheric...
☑️Woljeongri
The beach here is very holiday style, the glass sea view is beautiful 🏄There are many leisure surfers, any coffee shop is suitable for watching, Cafe Mou Moon's sea view floor-to-ceiling window, London Belgo Museum must go to the attached first floor, you can see the red lighthouse...
☑️Aewol-eup, Hyeopjae Beach
The beach here is very suitable for people to stroll by the sea, there are delicious umu puddings nearby, the grocery store is also very good, next to it is the road to the sea...
When you are tired, find a comfortable coffee shop and wait for the sunset🌄...

I took the photo of my life on Jeju Island
The jelly sea of Udo Island is too piu bright
Make sure to check the weather in advance before you go!
It's very likely that you won't be able to get on the island on rainy and windy days
Our East Line day tour was not bad💰158
🚗Shiji Kezhi👉Udo Island👉Sunrise Peak👉Sun Moon Beach
✔️Shiji Kezhi
Free🆓, there is a black reef sand beach that is very photogenic, very similar to the black sand beach in Iceland!
✔️Udo Island:
1⃣️Take the boat directly: you need a boat ticket💰10000➕Korean won/person, you can take the bus🚌/rent a bicycle🚲/rent a small electric car (more freedom) on the island
2⃣️The tour guide drives the boat: a total of 💰30000 Korean won/person (we chose to drive)
✔️Sunrise Peak
The route on the left is free, you need a ticket💰5000 Korean won/person to go up the mountain, if you want to climb the mountain, you can go up and take a look, I personally think it is unnecessary
✔️Sun Moon Beach
It is also a beautiful beach, compared to Udo Island, it is more gentle and calm, there are large windmills around, very photogenic! The large floor-to-ceiling window cafe is opened here~
The East Line is really good for taking pictures! I took hundreds of photos in one day
GENEVIEVE RIOS
Come to Jeju Island and climb a not high but absolutely scenic mountain
Taking advantage of the strong autumn colors, I recently took a friend who just came to Jeju Island to Songyue Mountain again.
Rather than climbing the mountain, it's more accurate to say walking the mountain.
Located in the west of Jeju Island, Songyue Mountain is a part of the occasional path. The entrance is a big slope directly to the mountainside, and what suddenly appears in front of you is the vast sea and the nearby Shanfang Mountain.
This is an occasional road along the coastline with a very wide view. You can see Shanfang Mountain and Brother Island at the same time. When the weather is good, you can also overlook Hannashan Mountain.
The first half of the Songyue Mountain hike is almost the grandeur of the invincible sea view, and the second half enters the pine forest style. There are purple flowers and honeysuckle that have not ended in summer on the side of the plank road. The white horses, sea women and anglers on the cliffs seen along the way must be the most authentic scenery of Jeju Island.
The whole journey takes about 2 hours. Free and no tickets. After climbing the mountain, you can rest at the busy Starbucks at the foot of the mountain, and continue along the coastline, you can reach a very popular hot restaurant. See the restaurant introduction in yesterday's blog post.
