#celebratewithtrip Lugano is in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, in the gorgeous canton of Ticino. Our experience in Lugano was walking along the waterfront into the Old Town. The views were spectacular. The Old Town of Lugano is a very intimate part of the city. There are lovely shops, restaurants and places to stay. We also visited the cathedral, which is directly across from the train station, is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out! We then explored the Lake Lugano, which is the ultimate highlight and the main attraction in Lugano. Who can resist swooning at lake views like this? Even if you never even go on the water, just looking at this gorgeous lake is better than therapy! The view here is spectacular! The lake is surrounded by mountains perched with houses and interesting boundary of Italy and Switzerland. If you’re wondering what to see in Lugano in one day, then the lake is an absolute must. We might not spent that much time in Lugano, but I believe that there's more to see in this beautiful place. I love Lugano on my Swiss itinerary, and I think a big part of the reason is that I stayed at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola, located by the lake. It was once a nobleman's mansion and was converted into a hotel in 1885, 136 years ago. Lugano, in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, is full of a completely different atmosphere from the German-speaking part, romantic and sophisticated, with bright sunshine all year round, and this hotel is even more Italian-style old-money style, with charming Mediterranean style everywhere, making the trip feel relaxed and full of vacation vibes! 🌸 The hotel is a delight to the eye, with exotic subtropical plants growing in the garden, modern sculptures scattered everywhere, and each room decorated with its own unique style, with exquisite traditional Chinese decorations in the rooms. 📍 The location is great, right on the shores of Lake Lugano, next to Monte Bre, where you can take a mountain train to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view, hike to the Ticino village of Bre, and take a bus to the old town of Lugano.

Some of the tourist attractions around Lake Lugano are Swissminiatur, a miniature park featuring replicas of famous Swiss buildings, and Parco Ciani, a large park right on the edge of the lake, perfect for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the view. | A Guide to the Unmissable Swiss Lakeside Towns. 'Lugano', located on the Swiss-Italian border, is just 1️⃣ hour from Milan. Highly recommended for a day trip, it's a very comfortable city with few people and beautiful scenery. You can also visit Morcote, rated as one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland, for a stroll. Overall, it's very chill❤️. 👉🏻Itinerary: 🔸Lugano: -The scenery right outside the train station is amazing, picture 2️⃣ is taken right after exiting the station, a very classic spot -Stroll around the city center by the lake -Monte Brè You can take bus B2 to cassarate, Monte bre and then take the funicular 🚠 directly to the lookout. Alternatively, take bus 12 to the last stop and walk for about 20 minutes to the lookout. Since we were with elderly people and our hotel happened to provide a discount voucher for the funicular, we chose to take the funicular to the lookout. 🔸Morcote: After descending the mountain and returning to the city, take bus B431 from Lugano centrale to parco Scherrer, remember to get off at this stop, first visit the botanical garden 🌳 and walk up the steps slowly, built by the lake, no entrance fee is required. After visiting the botanical garden, you can continue walking forward, wandering around the small town of Morcote at will. The town itself is not big, just follow the lakeside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is also a church ⛪ where you can climb up to overlook the town, but it requires some physical strength. For the return trip, it is recommended to take a 🚢 back to Lugano city center, a 50-minute boat ride, a different mode of transportation, a different experience. Since we were mainly traveling in Switzerland, we bought the Swiss pass, so the cost of taking the bus and boat could be directly covered by the pass, with no extra charges, very convenient. It is advisable to check the bus and boat schedules on SBB in advance.

Lugano is a small lakeside town in Switzerland, where green health and slow life are the theme. The town does not allow motor vehicles, and the air is pure. Yellow, pink, blue, red and other colored houses are built on the mountain, like irregular colorful building blocks, hidden in the green mountains and vineyards, giving a sense of harmony, depicting Lugano's back mountain into a bright and layered Mediterranean style painting. The best houses are of course built in the 'mountain and lake' place, build a villa, dig a swimming pool, back to the mountain, facing the lake. Not far away, Lugano's two most symbolic buildings, the St. Lorenzo Catholic Church and the St. Maria Cathedral, are also included in the view.

came to Lugano for a winter weekend, on the way had a stroll in Bellinzona and Locarno. Delfino hotel left a good impression, with comfortable room, balcony and a comprehensive breakfast with a lot of seating and foods to chose from. Even in winter, it is full of warm sunshine, making it the place with the most sunshine throughout the year in Switzerland. In the embrace of towering mountains, the water of Lake Lugano is clear and bright. Swans lazily sunbathe by the lake during the day. It's close to Christmas, and you can see the snow on Mount San Salvador, but there are still flowers blooming by the lake. We have free activities in the old town of Lugano, enjoying leisure time. We saw the Christmas market and the 'train to 2024'. In the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, which was founded in 1499, I saw a replica of Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' mural (Figure 4/The original is now housed in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy). There is also a Church of San Carlo (San Carlo) built in 1640 (Figures 9, 10). The paradise Lugano is unforgettable.
