Trip To Lugano🇨🇭
It was a trip to Lugano, Switzerland. We started our day with a stroll in Parco Ciani, Lugano's largest and most beautiful park. The park’s lush greenery, towering trees, and stunning lake views provided a serene atmosphere to enjoy the morning ☀️ As we wandered, we discovered statues, flower beds, and fountains that added to the park's charm. A great spot for photography, relaxation, or a quiet picnic by the lake.
📍Viale Carlo Cattaneo, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland
We also explored the Museo d'Arte della Svizzera Italiana, which showcases Swiss-Italian art from the Renaissance to the present day. We loved the diverse collection, especially the temporary exhibitions featuring modern and contemporary art. The museum provided a deep dive into the cultural heritage of the region, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming.
📍Piazza Bernardino Luini 6, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland
For lunch, I would recommend heading to Grotto della Salute, a cozy and authentic grotto located in the hills above Lugano. We enjoyed their risotto ai funghi porcini (porcini mushroom risotto) and polenta con brasato (braised beef with polenta), both cooked to perfection. The rustic ambiance and views over the city made this a memorable dining experience 🙌🙌🙌

In the afternoon, we took the funicular up to Monte Brè, one of Lugano’s two local mountains 🏔️ The ride itself was exciting, but the real reward was the panoramic view from the top, overlooking Lugano, the lake, and the surrounding Alps. We decided to hike a bit along the trails and enjoyed a coffee at the mountaintop café ☕️ It’s a great spot for both adventure and relaxation.
📍Via Ceresio di Suvigliana 32, 6977 Ruvigliana, Switzerland
Later, we wandered through Lugano’s charming Old Town. The cobblestone streets, pastel-colored buildings, and elegant boutiques created a delightful ambiance. We visited the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, with its beautiful Renaissance façade and peaceful interior, and enjoyed some local 🛍️ This part of Lugano truly captures the city's unique character.
📍 Via Borghetto 1, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland
For dinner, I would recommend La Cucina di Alice, a lakeside restaurant with a creative menu that includes fresh seafood and local specialties. We tried their signature dish, filetto di pesce persico (perch fillet) sourced directly from Lake Lugano, and it was outstanding. The service was warm, and the lake views as the sun set were spectacular.

📍Piazza Rezzonico 7, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland
Lastly, we visited LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, the city's cultural center that hosts a variety of performances, including theater, dance, and music. We were fortunate to catch a local classical music concert, and the venue's acoustics were incredible. It's a fantastic spot to immerse yourself in Lugano's vibrant arts scene.
