#schoolholidays When on a roadtrip around Tokyo, we had the opportunity to stop by Oshino-Hakkai, and even though it’s the start of winter and the weather was getting more gloomy, it was still very tranquil and lovely. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Oshino-Hakkai is a beautiful village with many clear fish ponds with water from Mount Fuji’s melting snow. Well worth a visit as it’s really peaceful and quaint. My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5! #unesco

#wecreate #japan #yamanashi This is Oshino Hakkai is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. It is assessable by buses and is a popular tourist spot where you can see clear pond with koi fish. It is beautiful. If yiu are lucky enough, you can also see Mt Fuji which enhances the aesthetics of the village. It is worth a trip there’s But be sure to go early as it tends to get crowded

Scenic, peaceful, beautiful,refreshing—Oshino Hakkai

It’s a lovely little village of very special deep ponds of snowmelt. The water was tranquil with beautiful fish swimming in it. We went there on a clear sunny day and we had the great view of Mt Fuji too. It’s a very popular tourist spot with plenty of local souvenirs and snacks, including roadside grilled fish. Parking area is a short level walk outside of the village centre. Outdoor areas are dog friendly. There’re some vendors selling freshly dried strawberries and peaches are also lovely. As all the ponds are outdoors, so check the weather before paying a visit. My partner and I really enjoyed our time there. Raining day at Oshino Hakkai

Located in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, this area was once a lake. After several eruptions of Mount Fuji and over a long period, the lake eventually dried up. The meltwater from Mount Fuji then seeped underground and emerged in several places, forming a number of spring ponds. The most representative eight are Deguchi Pond, Okama Pond, Sokonashi Pond, Choshi Pond, Waku Pond, Nigori Pond, Kagami Pond, and Shobu Pond. These are designated as Natural Monuments of Japan, selected as one of the 100 Famous Waters, and included in the New Fuji 100 Views. Transportation Guide: The most convenient way is to take the Fujikyu Railway Line and get off at 'Fujisan Station,' then transfer to the Fujikyu Route Bus. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Oshino Hakkai. Although Oshino Hakkai is located in Yamanashi Prefecture, it is actually quite far from the prefectural capital, Kofu City, and there are currently no direct trains or buses. There are many tourists in every season, so it is recommended to start early in the morning to get photos without crowds. Among the eight ponds, only 'Sokonashi Pond' requires a ticket, while the others are free to visit. Among these eight ponds, 'Waku Pond' has the most abundant spring water and is the busiest central area, surrounded by many souvenir shops. Opposite it is a watermill, and the daily spring water volume is about 8.4 million liters. The water is extremely clear, and you can easily see the koi swimming in the crystal blue water. Each of the eight ponds has a different story. In the medieval period, this place was a spiritual training ground for Fuji ascetics, and the eight ponds are based on the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, dedicated to the Eight Dragon Kings, which is quite unique. Fuji. These eight ponds hold history, legends and are recognized as a sacred site of Fuji worship. This place has been certified as part of the World Heritage Site of Mount Fuji." Things to do -- You can feed the fish in the ponds for a small fee for fish food, and there are also shops with food and souvenirs to purchase. I also saw wheelchairs were available to borrow in their visitors center. You can walk to each of the ponds and visit the nearby shrines.

It has been developed into tourist attractions and become quite crowded with visitors. The atmosphere there is nice. You also can find souvenirs and food vendors there. The closest train station is Fujisan Station on the Fuji Kyuko Line. The comments and special exhibitions are well thought out, allowing you to experience the charm and excitement of an aquarium. The scale is on the 1st and 2nd floors, and you can take a leisurely look at it for an hour. The exhibit takes about 10 minutes to walk through, making it perfect for a little fun while traveling. The sturgeon were large and worth seeing. There is a tatami room where small children can sit and watch, as well as small aquariums containing frogs, crabs, and geckos, with sturdy steps. The exhibits on the second floor are a good combination of curiosity and expertise. A facility like this is reminiscent of Asahikawa Zoo. The young staff are friendly and kind. I was also impressed by how well it wiped away the water droplets in the aquarium.

There is also a playground and a natural forest education centre behind the aquarium that are free to entry and equally nice to visit.I love this place! It's very good for kids and adults as well regarding fresh water fish and creatures. We can feel the fish very closely at the area of Tatami in front of the unique tank.

Known as the 'Jiuzhaigou of Japan'💫, it is an outdoor peach garden at the foot of Mount Fuji. Here, eight springs are scattered in an orderly manner, the water is clear and sweet, rich in minerals⭐. #2024wish The pond location guide is clear and easy to follow. Water is so clear that even small streams can see greens and fishes. This place is friendly for old folks and children to visit. However, keep them close if you visit during peak season. Quite crowded with tourists. Many locations with small walkways next to small stream. Within the main area has food stalls and street food. Seasonal fruits are at reasonable prices compared to the city. I wish to travel to south korea in 2024
