Where is the best place to stay in Bali?
Now, let's talk about the central and northern regions, which are suitable for those who have a 💤4-5 night vacation. You can choose a double hotel and experience a different Bali.~
.
Ubud
If the magnificent southern sea view is the charming appearance of Bali, then Ubud is definitely the spiritual source of Bali, with picturesque jungle terraces, temples and palaces, traditional handicraft markets, where you can catch a glimpse of Bali's millennium romance.

Manggis
As a small fishing village on the east coast of Bali, located between Mount Agung and the east coast, about 2 hours' drive from Bali International Airport, with such a dreamy location, there are two international resorts adjacent to each other, making it a niche choice.
-Alila Manggis
-An Man Qiu Lan
.
🍀Of course, there are also good attractions like Lovina in northern Bali (to see dolphins) and Tulamben (for diving), but hotel resources are scarce. If you want to know more, you can ask the Little Window Junjun.

The ultimate private experience at the Aman Seven Star Hotel in Bali.

📍Location: Private and secluded
❤️The ultimate hotels are often hidden deep in the jungle, even popular attractions like Angkor Wat have a quiet world hidden in the city. Located on the mountainside, surrounded by greenery and embraced by nature. Private beach, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, enjoy a quiet space. At night, sit on the spacious and open balcony with your partner, smelling the scent of jasmine, and fall asleep in the chirping of birds and insects.
❤️Architectural design: Minimalist and timeless classic
👉The color matching is unique, and minimalism is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The design thirty years ago is still fresh, and the three-layer infinity pool is staggered, with a good sense of space and hierarchy.
👉The restaurant uses Balinese-style wooden rattan chairs, and the corridor displays Balinese folk decorations. The light color system is matched with the azure blue of the architectural sea and sky, and the green trees are set off. The entire resort is a timeless classic work of art.
❤️Service concept: Feel at home, attention to detail
From the airport staff to help with luggage, to the free airport shuttle business car with wifi, pillows, cushions, mineral water cookies, Aman's service is considerate to every detail. Even the neck pillow in the front passenger seat is removed to prevent blocking the rear passenger's view.
❤️Room flowers, cookies, afternoon tea, the restaurant manager personally asks guests about their feelings during breakfast and dinner, and the dishes on the menu can be made as long as you think of them. The resort manager remembers the name of each guest, and the welcome and farewell are so grand that it is surprising.
❤️Don't worry about the outside world, the trusted butler will take care of everything outside, and you only need to count the moon and watch the stars and the sun in the private cabin like home with your partner

Bali | The Surprisingly Exceptional Amankila
Amankila is located on the east coast of Bali, backed by Mount Agung, and was chosen in 1992 for its view of the Lombok Strait. Its name, derived from Sanskrit, means 'peaceful hill'. Despite being a design from 32 years ago, the three-tiered swimming pool inspired by terraced fields remains a highlight of the hotel to this day.
About the design: The hotel was designed by Ed Tuttle, the late Aman's go-to architect who passed away in 2020, with 35 suites all adopting traditional Balinese architectural styles. Multiple columns support the elevated thatched roofs, and each separate suite, built against the hillside, is designed in the form of stilt houses. The suites and the main public building are connected by winding terrazzo walkways.
Indoors, a large amount of cream-colored terrazzo and wooden finishes are used as the main materials, paired with open thatched roofs. Details include wood carvings and stone carvings, as well as decorations of coconut shell inlays, shell mosaic vessels, and rattan furnishings. All these details remind me of what Ed Tuttle once said in an interview: 'Design should respect the cultural background of the location and the potential impact of the architecture on the surrounding environment.'
About the facilities: The hotel has two restaurants, one offering Indonesian flavors and the other an Italian restaurant. It seems that the restaurants are relatively full during holiday meals, so it's necessary to make a reservation with the front desk in advance. The Bar near the swimming pool provides snacks and drinks for swimming guests, with free afternoon tea around four o'clock. Aman's standard Spa and Gym require advance reservations with the front desk. There are two swimming pools, in addition to the three-tiered pool, there is also a large swimming pool near the beach made of turquoise tiles. The hotel's private black sand beach is a must-visit, where you can book a private dinner by the sea, and the play of light and shadow at sunset can truly bring a moment of inner peace.
About activities: Initially, I was worried that Amankila might have fewer activities than Amansara, but this concern was unnecessary once I arrived at the hotel. Activities are divided into sea and land activities. Sea activities include boat trips for snorkeling, fishing, surfing (about a 1.5-hour drive, so I didn't go), and scuba diving, which offers certification but requires at least three days. We took a private boat, Aman XII, for snorkeling, and the boat was equipped with a safety officer and crew. The underwater world was truly beautiful, with many strangely shaped corals and colorful fish. The only downside was that the waves were quite big that day, and both my friend and I got seasick. Onshore activities include horseback riding on the beach, visiting nearby villages to understand local culture, and hiking in the mountains. In short, if you stay for a longer period, you won't get bored.
About the service, after all, it's Aman, so you can be quite assured. Having housekeeping as soon as you step out of your room is a basic operation, but since the hotel was fully booked during my stay, the staff ratio was not as good as the Amansara experience. They didn't manage to organize charging cables, fold clothes, or polish shoes, but the overall experience was truly beyond expectations!

Bali
The luxury hotels in Bali are concentrated in six areas: Ubud in the central part, Uluwatu in the south, Jimbaran in the southwest, Nusa Dua in the southeast, Seminyak in the west, and Sanur in the east, among which Ubud is the preferred location for 'top-tier' hotel brands. When visiting Bali, choosing the right hotel is the proper thing to do.
Amankila Bali is the most beautiful Aman resort in Bali
Amankila is located in a vast forest on the east coast, facing the most understated and luxurious private beach on the east coast, offering a sense of tranquility and relaxation.
The hotel is nestled in a pristine and simple natural village, facing the Lombok Strait, enjoying panoramic views of the tropical ocean.
Here, you and your family will completely relax and appreciate the oldest and most traditional cultural heritage of Bali, serene and remote, adjacent to traditional villages such as Manggis, Candi Dasa, and Tenganan, where you can fully experience the local customs and culture, 49 kilometers away from Bali International Airport.
Capella Ubud Bali in the central rice fields
Hidden in a dense forest, Capella Ubud consists of 22 ultra-luxurious tented villas, with the hotel design entirely entrusted to the landscape master Bill Bensley. The exquisite Balinese hanging doors, animal print seats, and four-poster beds made of raw materials inside the tents present an image of early European settlers camping in Bali, exuding a strong 'Old World' atmosphere

Bali Amanusa Hotel
Amankila Hotel is located in the Karangasem area of eastern Bali, about 1 hour drive from Denpasar International Airport, backed by Mount Agung and overlooking the Lombok Strait. The three-level large terraced infinity pool, unbeatable sea view bay, private black pearl beach dinner experience, and the surrounding ancient and simple rural environment-all of these allow you to see a more traditional and primitive Bali. Amankila Hotel, also known as "quiet mountains", is a quiet and peaceful "oasis" located in the remote but equally accessible Karangasem area; this area is also one of the most traditional and simple areas in Bali. In Karangasem, you can participate in activities such as mountain biking, diving, visiting nearby ancient temples and ancient water palaces.
The hotel is located near Manggis, Candi Dasa, Tenganan and other villages that still preserve traditional handicraft skills. Exploring these primitive and quaint villages from the hotel is a rare enjoyment. The hotel's beach club is located under the cliff, just a five-minute walk from the hotel; you can choose to walk or take the hotel's open-air off-road vehicle to the club. There, nestled among coconut groves and frangipani trees, is the largest swimming pool of the Amankila Hotel.
