Budapest is a dream 🗺️

My trip to Budapest was absolutely unforgettable! 🇭🇺 The city’s charm is undeniable, and there’s so much to see and do. I started with a visit to Buda Castle, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city. The entrance fee was around 2,000 HUF, and exploring the castle grounds was like stepping into history. 🏰
Strolling along the Danube Promenade was a highlight. The view of the Parliament Building from there, especially at sunset, is breathtaking. 🌅 For a cultural treat, I visited the Hungarian State Opera House, where a ticket to a performance was about 4,000 HUF. The architecture and the show were both spectacular. 🎭
I also enjoyed soaking in the Széchenyi Thermal Bath, where the entrance fee was about 5,500 HUF. It was so relaxing to unwind in the warm, mineral-rich waters. 🛁
Budapest’s mix of history, stunning architecture, and vibrant nightlife made it an incredible getaway. I can’t wait to return and explore more of this beautiful city! #trip #Budapest #BudaCastle #DanubeViews #SzéchenyiBath #HungarianOpera

Buda Castle
Early morning is definitely the best time to head your way to Buda Castle. I arrived (when it was raining) by 8am and there were around 10 other people there only. As I was finishing up taking photos and heading to the St Matthias area, large groups were appearing and the rain had started to subside.
To get there, I took one of the local buses from the just beside my City Centre hotel - really quick and easy.
Starting at the base of Fisherman’s Bastion, I walked up the steps and entered the courtyard of views. Here you can easily take photos of the city. I will admit, because I was there early I couldn’t see inside the buildings, it also meant that apart from my bus journey (and funicular ride) I didn’t pay anything to see the view and the whole area.

Budapest is the image of Europe in my mind.
Budapest doesn't have "The Grand Budapest Hotel", but it has the most beautiful Castle Hill.
Budapest is located on the banks of the Danube River (originally the water of the Danube and the Huangpu River are similar in turbidity), formed by the merger of Buda on the west bank of the Danube and Pest on the east bank. The famous Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle are on the Buda side, while the east bank has the Parliament Building and more abundant leisure and entertainment venues.
Attractions
Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle
Hungarian Parliament Building, Citadella, a recommended attraction by locals, Danube River cruise | Recommended Legenda Cruise.
Budapest: Evening Sightseeing Cruise and Unlimited Prosecco (1.5 hours). If you want to see the night view of the Parliament Building, it's best to book a few days in advance. We booked for 5:30 pm to watch the sunset, and both sides of the river were covered in golden light. Everyone on the boat was having a great time and the atmosphere was super fun, hahaha.
These scenic spots have a lot of tourists! So if you want to take beautiful photos, sisters are advised to go early. You may need to go to Fisherman's Wharf at seven or eight o'clock to avoid crowds in the restaurant.
Béchamel
This breakfast is really delicious! We ate here for two consecutive days and recommend the Turkish Eggs and Croque Madame.
Menza Restaurant and Café
Authentic Hungarian cuisine, recommended dishes include Roasted duck liver with sour cherry sauce and mashed potatoes (Cherry Duck Liver) and Hungarian goulash soup (beef soup with a Chinese-style flavor).
This walk-in restaurant does have seating outside of meal times, but it's best to make a reservation in advance.
Comme Chez Soi
It's too popular, couldn't get a table even after two walk-ins, always fully booked no matter what time, so if you're coming to Budapest, make sure to call/email and make a reservation a few days in advance.
Budapest has too many delicious foods, almost no chance of disappointment, and the prices are very cheap!
Transportation
Bolt taxi app allows cash payment without card binding.
Payment; calling a car is very convenient, basically arriving in two or three minutes; the price is not expensive, and if you don't live too far away, it's only a few euros to go to various scenic spots.
BudapestGO public transportation can be used with this app.
Budapest doesn't need too much planning, the distance between attractions is close, and it's beautiful to walk around everywhere! It's very safe here, and people are friendly

Hungry for More Adventures at Budapest
Budapest is an amalgamation of two historic cities lying right opposite each other over the Danube river, the City of Buda and the City of Pest.
The central area of Budapest along the Danube River is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has several notable monuments of classical architecture, including the Hungarian Parliament and the Buda Castle. The city also has around 80 geothermal springs, the largest thermal water cave system, second largest synagogue, and third largest Parliament building in the world.
This beautiful and picturesque city is indeed one of Europe’s best destinations. 🇭🇺 #budapest #hungary #2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #foodie #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #passionpassport #celebratewithtrip

Buda Castle
Buda Castle (Budavári Palota) is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian Kings in Budapest. It was first completed in 1265, although the massive Baroque palace today occupying most of the site was built between 1749 and 1769.

BUDA CASTLE ILLUMINATES
Without a doubt, Buda Castle is one of the most well-known images of the capital. Because it was once the residence of the Hungarian kings, the castle is also known as the Royal Palace.
Buda Castle, along with the Chain Bridge to which it is connected, is a spectacular castle and one of Budapest and Hungary's most magnificent emblems. Buda Castle now houses the Budapest History Museum, the National Széchényi Library, and the Hungarian National Gallery.
The majestic Buda Castle, perched atop Castle Hill, commands a commanding panorama of Pest and the Danube. The views from Fisherman's Bastion are remarkably similar. The palace complex, which is connected to the Chain Bridge, is particularly beautiful at night, when the bridge and the Castle are illuminated.

The Buda Castle
Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest. It was first completed in 1265, but the massive Baroque palace today occupying most of the site was built between 1749 and 1769. The complex in the past was referred to as either the Royal Palace or the Royal Castle. The castle now houses the Hungarian National Gallery and The Budapest History Museum. Buda Castle sits on the southern tip of Castle Hill, surrounded by the touristic area known as Várnegyed (Castle Quarter), which is famous for medieval, Baroque and Neoclassical houses, churches, public buildings, and monuments. The hill is linked to Clark Ádám Square and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge by the Castle Hill Funicular. The castle is a part of the Budapest World Heritage Site, so declared in 1987. The original Royal Palace was ruined during WWII, it was rebuilt in a simplified Stalin Baroque style during the Kádár era.#unforgettableexperiences

Trip to Budapest 🇭🇺
Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺 is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a place where you can get perfect 📸
Just to share my itinerary to take picture around the city. We started our day by visiting the iconic Buda Castle. As we strolled through the cobblestone streets, the views overlooking the Danube River were incredible. The perfect time to visit is early in the morning around 8 AM, when the sun softly illuminates the city, creating breathtaking views for photographs. We explored the Castle District, taking in the stunning architecture and stopping to admire the majestic Matthias Church ⛪️ If you’re looking for the perfect shot 📸 , the Fisherman's Bastion nearby offers a panoramic view of the Pest side, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset.
Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion
📍Szent György tér 2, Budapest 1014, Hungary
Matthias Church
📍Szentháromság tér 2, Budapest 1014, Hungary
Then we visited St. Stephen's Basilica, a stunning neo-classical church where we marveled at its intricate details. I would recommend climbing to the top of the dome for an unforgettable 360-degree view of Budapest. It's best to go in the late afternoon around 4 PM when the lighting for pictures is softer 📸 , highlighting the grandeur of the city.
St. Stephen's Basilica
📍Szent István tér 1, Budapest 1051, Hungary
We explored the Hungarian Parliament Building the next day, a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Budapest. We visited it early in the morning, around 9 AM, before the crowds poured in. The Parliament building, especially from across the river, provides one of the most iconic shots of the city. The lighting at that time of day is perfect for pictures 📸 that capture the building’s intricate Gothic details.
From there, we took a peaceful walk along the Danube Promenade, stopping by the Shoes on the Danube Bank, a moving memorial that we would recommend seeing around midday for some thought-provoking moments of reflection.
Hungarian Parliament Building
📍Kossuth Lajos tér 1-3, Budapest 1055, Hungary
Shoes on the Danube
📍Id. Antall József rkp., Budapest 1054, Hungary
For a more relaxing experience, we visited the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath, where we spent the morning soaking in the warm waters. The best time to go is in the morning around 8 AM, as it’s quieter and the light filtering through the steam makes for great pictures 📸 I would recommend walking through City Park afterward, where you can capture serene pictures at Vajdahunyad Castle 🏰 If you go closer to noon, the lighting adds a magical touch to the castle’s reflection in the water.

Buda wears this Fisherman's Castle and has a super full camera position. If you want to express this on Buda, you won't miss Fisherman's Castle! Today, I will share with you the nanny level and super full camera position of Fisherman's Castle! Just after returning from Buda wearing this, before sharing the key position, let me tell you the price of Buda carrying this beautiful thing. The Fisherman's Castle bus departs from the street next to the Fisherman's Castle bus stop and arrives at the opposite side of the bus stop. From position five, climb up the church three piece set from left to bottom. There is also a row of arched windows suitable for sunset and sunset. During the day, there is a step to climb up to the middle position. Looking down, you can take pictures of carved statues, bell towers, and positions where you have just climbed all the steps

The Buda Castle, also known as the Royal Palace is the former residence and palace complex of Hungarian kings in Budapest. It was first completed in year 1265 but the Baroque palace was mainly constructed between 1749 and 1769. After the formation of republic, it houses the Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest Historical Museum and National Szechenyi Library. The palace complex also consists of the Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion as part of the fortification efforts on the palace. The gallery houses many old artifacts and relics from the olden days, and there used to be a Labyrinth but it is closed for renovations. The palace was inscribed under UNESCO World Heritage in 1987.

The art of Buda Castle 🏰
#myhiddengems
Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian Kings in Budapest. It was first completed in 1265, although the massive Baroque palace today occupying most of the site was built between 1749 and 1769.
The complex itself does not require an entrance fee, but the museums inside it do: the National Gallery, the Budapest History Museum and the Museum of History.
It is certainly an enormous and beautiful building, up close you begin to see some of the flaws such as peeling paint on the window frames and grounds that are not as well manicured as you would have expected. Since you see the castle from all over town, it's worth visiting to get an up close look.
The buildings of the Buda Castle are currently occupied by 2 museums (the National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum) and the National Library. All of these attractions can be visited, but there is an entry fee.

Three-day Two-night Travel Guide to Budapest, Hungary
Day1:
☑️Széchenyi Chain Bridge Suitable for a night walk to enjoy the night view
Day2:
☑️Fisherman's Bastion It's recommended to go early for photos when there are fewer people!
☑️Matthias Church
☑️Buda Castle
☑️New York Café A beautifully decorated café, ladies should definitely wear a gorgeous dress for photos! (Walk in the afternoon, only a 5-minute wait in line, no need for reservations as mentioned online)
Day3:
☑️Budapest Central Market The first floor of the market sells chocolate, foie gras, bread, vegetables, fruits, etc., the second floor mainly has souvenirs and clothes, but the specialty chocolate has a peculiar taste, worth trying but not recommended to buy a lot
☑️Liberty Bridge The green iron bridge
☑️Night view photography across from the Hungarian Parliament Building Taxi address: Batthyány tér
Transportation🚗:
For convenience, I took a taxi directly from the airport to the city center, costing around €35. Taxi app: Bolt. Students can also choose to buy a ticket from the airport to the city center for 200E on the BudapestGo App
Danube River Cruise🚢: I bought the cruise ticket on the Duna Cruises official website for €29/person. The boat is quite new, with two levels, the upper level is open-air (you need to queue up early if you want to sit on the upper level), and the ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine. I recommend choosing a time just before sunset, the Hungarian Parliament Building is very photogenic when lit up!
Cuisine:
☑️Meet You Every Day
Ordered noodles in the morning, tasted quite good
☑️Town Hall
Authentic Chengdu hotpot, the base is very fragrant! Recommended for everyone to try when traveling! (Picture 9)
❌Comme Chez Soi
Highly recommended by many but actually a bit disappointing, the apple foie gras was a bit fishy, the seafood pasta was mediocre, and there was a beef soup that resembled borscht, not recommended
DesignDestiny
On the banks of the Danube, to the left is Buda, to the right is Pest
Fisherman's Bastion
Arriving at Castle Hill, head straight for the white Fisherman's Bastion, which blends Neo-Gothic, Neo-Romanesque, and local Hungarian architectural styles, and its neighbor, Matthias Church (the second largest church in Buda during the medieval period).
Buda Castle
The castle, once built to defend against the Tatar invasions, now serves as an art/museum (when buying tickets, if there is only one hour left until the exhibition closes, the staff will kindly suggest visiting the next day. At least 2.5 hours are needed here).
On Castle Hill, an inadvertent walk past a certain house may also reveal a surprise exhibit: Koller Gallery.
Gellért Hill
Starting the final 'struggle' up the stone steps at the entrance of the mountain tunnel, braving the rare extreme heat of Europe. Dragging heavy steps, a walk of more than ten minutes leaves one gasping for breath. But seeing the views through the branches along the way, and then the standing Statue of Liberty, one finds new strength in their feet.
Find a spot on the little hill, sit or lie down on the marble platform, and feel the breeze of Budapest's summer. The feeling of capturing the city's multiple angles all by oneself, is like the joy those who love to reach the summit feel when they conquer Mount Everest.

Buda Castle in the snow
The first time I came to Buda Castle was on Children's Day in my first year in Budapest, taking my daughter to the Children's Center on Castle Hill to watch a play.
As soon as I arrived at the foot of Castle Hill, I was fascinated by its majesty. The castle is a common sight in Western novels and movies, and I have always longed for it. Now it is right in front of me Before the performance, I climbed up Buda Castle Hill with my daughter, wandering in the long river of history, appreciating the medieval style, and thinking: I want to live nearby, so I can often come here for a walk.
After we moved near the castle, Buda Castle Hill became a frequent place to visit.
The castle shows different beauty in the changing seasons. I love autumn, preferring the rich and unpretentious natural colors of autumn; for winter, it is the longing for snow, the pure white brings us mystery and romance. Last winter, the snow in Budapest was generous. On a snowy morning, I walked to Buda Castle to enjoy the snow. There were people on Castle Hill playing with their children in the snow, and I even met two tour groups. I secretly admired the good luck of these tourists. It has always been my wish to enjoy the snow on Castle Hill. After waiting for three years, I finally got my wish. The snow added a white outline to the buildings. The Baroque-style buildings under the dress were solemn and solemn, and the Chinese-style pavilions were holy and beautiful. Western beauties and Eastern beauties took the stage together, visual enjoyment, and it aroused the light and leisurely Eastern feelings in my heart.
Life is a journey, stop, look slowly, beauty will meet unexpectedly

Buda Castle & Fisherman's Bastion
If you go to Budapest you should definitely visit Buda Castle and the Fisherman's Bastion! The views from the walls over the Danube are great, and the architecture of the buildings is very impressive.
The foot of the castle can be reached easily by walking or taking a transport across the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. Then you have a choice of paying for the funicular up or you can walk up the hill which does involve some steps.
There's restaurants up in the castle grounds, and plenty of photo opportunities! It also looks great at night!#budapest #budacastle #architecture
