The Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok offers a brand new luxurious dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River, and the riverside Thai restaurant is truly exceptional
There is a hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand, where the royal family has stayed twice. It is the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok~ This place is like a charming riverside resort in the heart of this vibrant city. The hotel is divided into the Shangri-La Wing and the Bangkok Wing~ creating a natural resting place in the center of the city.
The recently launched Shangri-La Horizon luxury cruise dinner in Bangkok is amazing! The night view of both sides of the Chao Phraya River is really too beautiful~ No matter how many times you see it, you will never get tired of it, and it is highly recommended not to miss it when you come to Bangkok!
Additionally, the hotel's riverside Thai restaurant, Salathip Thai Restaurant, has always been one of the hottest eateries in Bangkok, and it's hard to get a seat all year round, so be sure to book in advance~ Don't underestimate this restaurant, apart from its famous Thai teak pavilions, Bangkok's government departments often host foreign dignitaries here~ All the dishes and ingredients at the restaurant are meticulously prepared according to royal standards. In the evening, while enjoying the food, you can also watch traditional Thai dance performances~ From 19:40-21:30, you can see three wonderful traditional performances.

Chao Phraya river is truly an amazing sight to see! As one of the main transportation channels in Thailand since ancient times, it is rich in history and culture.
As the river flows through Bangkok, travelers can witness a stunning array of architecture and landmarks from various points of interest and cultural significance. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun Temple are just a few of the amazing sites that can be seen.

Enjoy Chao Phraya river at sunset
Only 15 Thai Baht to travel as a local from the Chao Phraya River Pier like a Pro. The beautiful sunset and the nature along side the river, plus some restaurants on the river banks, were overwhelming the money spent on it. Strolling the areas through small lanes with lots of people both passers by, motorists and merchants. Ending up couldn’t resist to try displayed street food of Thai curry and drinks. #yuppije2023 #bangkok #chaophryariver #thaifood #yuppijetrip

nice cruise trip at Bangkok
#chaophryariver #cruise
Evening views of the illuminated ancient and modern treasures and temples of Bangkok, built along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, made for a truly lovely and memorable experience. The entertainment as we boarded the ship and the live band during the cruise were both lively and entertaining. The passing, illuminated dinner cruise ships were a pretty sight, as we enjoyed the dinner buffet, which offered a variety of food. Service was friendly.

Fresh air and river views
Nice elevated walkway which provides nice views of the river and the landscape. It's great to watch the boats go past and to get some fresh air and sunshine. Popular spot for locals to come and rest & relax. Worth a look if in the area. Especially at dusk. There are views available on both sides of the river which provide something each a little different. Around the bridge there are a couple of parks which make the walk here a pleasant one and as always Bangkok has lots of intresting things to see.
Chinatown is not too far a walk away if you wanted to combine it with something or you can check out the nearby Indian area too.

#holidayvacation It is said that if you want to enjoy the real beauty of Bangkok then one must ride through Chao Phraya river once. At night, the beauties of the landscapes around the river becomes exceptional. I had a cruise ride along with dinner and it was really mesmerizing night experience ever.
Just a little heads up about the Chao Phraya, it is the major river in Thailand, with its low alluvial plain forming the centre of the country. It flows through Bangkok and then into the Gulf of Thailand. It was, and still is, a very important waterway for the people of central Thailand.
Many people call the banks of the Chao Phraya River home. Others use the river to get to and from work almost every day. For others, it is a way of life and, ultimately, their main source of income. So if you’re in Bangkok this is a must! #merryxmas

The Chao Phraya River makes Bankok alive, nourished Bangkok's prosperity, and adds a little softness and mystery to this ancient and modern city. 🦋
During the day, the Chao Phraya River is bustling, buses and long tail boats shuttle on the river; and when the city lights on, 🕶the Chao Phraya River shows another style of beauty, which makes you feel the charming night of Bangkok.💼

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.

In Bangkok, in addition to the crowded roads and public transportation, there is another kind of transportation that does not have to endure the traffic jam and does not have to endure the subway crowd. It is the cruise on the Chao Phraya River - this time I chose CHAO PHRAYA TOURIST BOAT~ ~ Not only can you see the scenery of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok, but you can also connect many popular attractions~~
Little_Liujinger.
The Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok. The river runs through Bangkok. You can spend a little money on a boat to explore the unique scenery on both sides.
There are countless temples and white buildings on both sides of the Chao Phraya River, which are particularly dazzling and fresh in the sunshine.
The river is not clear, but such rivers breed the culture and heritage of Thailand and Bangkok, nourishing the growth of Thai people.
Down the river, we see fewer and fewer tall buildings, but more and more dazzling temples, this is really a big open tour!

Experiencing the magic of sunset at Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok! As the sun sets over the Chao Phraya River, the sky transforms into a stunning palette of oranges, pinks, and purples. Whether you’re on the Ferris wheel, enjoying a riverside dinner, or simply strolling along the boardwalk, this moment is pure enchantment.

Temples, Tuk-Tuks, and Thai Street Eats! 🇹🇭🌆
Bangkok had me at “Sawasdee!” From the golden spires of Wat Pho to the bustling energy of Chatuchak Market, this city is an adventure waiting to happen. Zipping through the streets in a tuk-tuk, I discovered hidden gems, indulged in the best pad thai, and soaked in the vibrant nightlife along Khao San Road. The highlight? A serene sunset boat ride along the Chao Phraya River with the Grand Palace glowing in the background. Bangkok, you’re a feast for the senses! #BangkokBliss #TukTukAdventures #TempleAndTaste #VibrantBangkok

Second Cafe Wanglang
Newly opened cafe, near Wat Rakhang
The first floor is the Nong Bua Dumpling shop
The second floor is a cafe, with both outdoor seating and an air-conditioned area
We think the highlight of this shop is its beautiful design, which is well-designed, allowing you to see the Chao Phraya River from every table. We went on a holiday and the shop was packed, every table was full, so it was a bit noisy.
However, if it is in the evening, when there are fewer customers, it will be quiet and you can sit and enjoy the view.

Dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River
Stuck in the crazy Bangkok traffic, we were embroiled in a mad rush on our way to the Asiatique pier to check in for our sunset dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River. Thanks to our skilful tuk tuk driver 🛺 we made it in good time.
I had managed to reserve a nice spot on the uppermost deck so we could enjoy lovely views of the city’s famous landmarks whilst tucking into the buffet dishes. It was a pity we were interrupted by a sudden downpour🥲 but thankfully once again, things worked out eventually as the skies cleared to make way for gorgeous sunset hues during our return journey to the pier 🌅
