At first, when I heard about bitter melon barbecue, I was completely against it. What kind of 'dark cuisine' is this? But curiosity got the better of me, so I ordered a portion. To my surprise, the grilled bitter melon had a unique flavor. The slight bitterness blended with the aroma of the meat, making it refreshing and less greasy. I ended up devouring several pieces. I have to say, this combination is simply amazing.
