The Meguro Sky Garden is located atop a high-rise building in Meguro Ward, seamlessly blending natural beauty with urban modernity. As I entered the garden, I was immediately captivated by the greenery and fresh air. The plants and trees are arranged in a way that creates a leisurely atmosphere, making one feel as if they are in the midst of nature. The garden's winding paths offer different views at every turn. The landscape design is exquisite, with every detail reflecting the designer's meticulous care. As I strolled through the garden, admiring the surrounding beauty, I felt a sense of peace and joy. What impressed me the most were the small pond and waterfall within the garden. These water features add dynamism and vitality to the garden. The sound of flowing water is incredibly relaxing and pleasant. I captured these beautiful scenes in photos, hoping to share this tranquility and beauty with everyone. Additionally, the Meguro Sky Garden offers excellent vantage points to overlook the magnificent Tokyo cityscape. In my hometown, in the Jiangnan region, every flower admirer knows, after the plum blossoms, it's time for the peach blossoms— whether it's 'the beauty's face competing with the peach blossoms' red', or 'peach blossoms over the flowing waters where the mandarin fish are fat', or even 'the peach blossoms still smiling in the spring breeze'... This March in Japan, it's cherry blossom season, and the cherry blossoms 🌸 take center stage, from Kawazu town to Miura coast, from Kawazu-zakura, Kan-hizakura to O-kanzakura, Akame-zakura, a half-month marathon through twenty cherry blossom spots, has been beautiful, indeed intoxicating, right? But I hardly saw many peach blossoms, unexpectedly, in this Meguro Sky Garden, I was fortunate to see a row of about a dozen trees— Though not many, they were as picturesque as a painting, and they made me see the poetic scenery of my hometown mountains and rivers...

Spring is coming! So here is my recommendation of sakura spots you guys should visit on upcoming spring: 1. Meguro River (free entry) This is the most magical cherry blossom spot ive ever encountered, the whole sakura-lined stretch is about 5 km-long, from Gotanda to Meguro Sky Garden. You dont have to fight for a spot of picture no matter how crowded it is as the sakura line is pretty long~ if you have more time to spend, you can actually stay until dark for a total different experience because the lanterns light up and illuminate on the trees 2.Asakusa Sensoji temple (free entry) The oldest temple in Tokyo, you will find this temple on everyone’ itinerary list. If you happen to visit during the sakura season, you will spot a bunch of sakura trees behind the temple. Dont forget to rent your kimono 👘 3. Inokashira park (free entry) A home to 500 sakura trees and half of it planted around the large pond. You can rent a boat and enjoy paddling on the ponds surrounded by dreamy sakura trees. Unfortunately, i visited the park when it was raining, so i didnt manage to rent and paddle the boat. So next time~ 4. Ueno park (free entry) I guess the sakura in this park is early blooming? Because i visited in late march and most of the petals has fallen🤧 it’s a long walk inside the park and then you could actually find some food vendors like yakisoba, dango, etc 5. Shinjuku Gyoen (not free) It’s on my and everyone’ wishlist. I didnt manage to visit it in 2023.
