The swimming pool also sees good use for those who prefer to avoid the ocean. However, the gymnasium is in a state of partial disrepair, with the weights machine lacking the handlebars (which had broken off). Lack of parking spaces is also a problem. Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. My first time try to stay in Mercure Penang and its soo wonderful! Brought family together here. Before this always thought Penang is soo jam! ( yes indeed during peak hours). But actually of we do arrive here before office hours (around 7am-9am or 5-7pm) then the traffic better. On the way to Tg Bunga was so fun if no jamm. I wish Penang LRT will complete asap! Had a fantastic stay at Tanjung Bungah, Penang when my wife's friends came over from Shanghai to visit. If you are looking for a decent place with direct access to beachfront and good pricing, look no further than Mercure Penang Beach. The room condition might be a bit old but it's still going to offer a pretty decent 2 - 3 nights stay. The location is also pretty convinient, with a local foodcourt within walking distance, and a shopping mall a short drive away. Batu Feringgi is also within a 15 minutes drive away. #penang

Our afternoon was spent wandering through George Town's charming alleys, discovering antique shops and quaint temples. Each corner of the city revealed a piece of its rich history. -Public Area 4-star hotel with private beach. Hotel Mercure Penang Beach is located on a street lined with houses and condominiums, about 20 minutes by car from the center of Penang. Behind the compact front desk, the beautiful sea and sky suddenly appear. It is as if you are in another world. You can enjoy the atmosphere of a resort with a private beach and swimming pool, yet you can stay in a room from RM240 per room. I stayed in a superior ocean view room. The large window opens to the ocean, and when you lie down on the bed, the sky is all around you. Very relaxing. There is a rocky beach right off the beach, so if you bring your own equipment, you are allowed fishing. There were countless shells on the beach. There is a convenience store in the building next door and several reputable restaurants conveniently located within a 3 minute walk. The place was crowded with families. #weekendgetaways Mercure Penang sits along the beachfront of the Penang Beach, about 15 minutes car ride away from Gurney Drive. There is direct access to the beach, which was great for a morning stroll before breakfast. Check-in and check- out was a breeze and the rooms were surprisingly big for the price. The bed was comfortable and clean, and there was a nice seating area within the room. Nevertheless, the bathroom was slightly small but basic necessities were provided. The breakfast spread was also decent and there was quite a selection of food including sandwiches and an omelette station. Facilities in the hotel included a decent pool and gym, as well as an outdoor lounge to enjoy the cool breeze. Overall, value for money if you're looking for an affordable option to enjoy the beach in Penang.

🏖️ We really enjoyed our #staycation in Mercure Penang Beach. Their facilities are very well maintained and rooms are comfortable to stay in too. We love the sea view from our rooms. Its location is strategic too as it is not far from Gurney Drive. Easy access to shopping malls and food courts. It is also complete with a beach where we can picnic and swim. ♻️ One thing I like most about them is they install water filters in the rooms as a step to conserve natural resources and reduce usage of one-time use plastics. I support this effort! 👍🏼👍🏼 Two thumbs up to their service too. On our last day, our room door were double locked. With the swift action by their maintenance team, they managed to help us open the door, with a smile on their faces. This is really excellent service! I would definitely come back with my family soon. mecure Situated in the. bungah has a nice beach. its ope n air concept means you can walk out straight from your room to easy access to beach. nearby newer hotels are all blocked from sea...u need to walk around it. what a bummer! choose the sea view rooms. Worth it. cheers
