Authentic Korean BBQ Platter in Tsim Sha Tsui
This Korean restaurant has several branches in Tsim Sha Tsui, and we decided to try the BBQ at the one near Observatory Road. The restaurant has a traditional Korean BBQ setup, and many of the staff are Korean, making it very authentic. As soon as we sat down, we were served several types of kimchi, which had an authentic Korean flavor and were quite spicy.
Beef Platter Set A $560
We ordered the beef platter for two, which included four different cuts of beef and a soup (kimchi or soybean paste). The portion was enough for two people, and there was unlimited lettuce to wrap the meat and spicy sauce. The four cuts of beef were ribeye, short ribs, chuck, and brisket. The ribeye steak was large and tender. The short ribs had a bit of tendon, adding to the texture. The chuck and brisket had a stronger flavor. The staff also helped with grilling the meat, so we didn't have to do it ourselves. We chose the soybean paste soup, which included tofu, clams, and vegetables. The soup was not too salty and had a perfect taste.
Cold Noodles $90
We also ordered a bowl of cold noodles. The noodles were chewy, and the refreshing taste and texture helped balance the greasiness of the BBQ. You can also add vinegar and mustard for an extra flavor.
