I have learned a lot of the history of my own country or should I say this is a great reminder or a refresher for me to not forget the beauty of my own country. It has so much beautiful history culture and tradition. There is this unexplainable pride displayed in all the artwork shown in the museum. Something that will make you want to know more and research more. A highly recommended place to visit if you are a new tourist in the Philippines. It is free of entry so you can just walk in there. Address: Padre Burgos Avenue, Ermita, Manila. Enjoy your informative and educational visit!

Celebrate Philippines' History
The recently renovated National Museum of Natural History is a celebration of the richness of life in the Philippines. Located in Agrifina Circle in Rizal Park in the buzzing district of Ermita, Manila, the museum is a house to many artifacts and remains of unique cultural heritage showcasing the life and the ways of the first people that inhabited the Philippines.
There are at least 12 galleries with permanent exhibitions that showcases a brief timeline of evolution through the fossils collected from different areas in the country
Don't miss the Shell Philippines Centennial Courtyard, with its newly renovated centerpiece- the one share in the photographs, that which look like a tree trunk and opens up to a very bright ceiling. Admissions are free.

Living Statues at the Museum
What are the wonders of your country? How did they shape history? Are some of them extinct? These are some of the questions I found answers to by visiting the National Museum of Natural History. There are many fascinating creatures that once and still roam the Philippines, and it's great to know that those that have since been gone could be seen in their glory in an exhibit. I found my eyes inspecting all the displays and being more curious than before. How did these species live? How did they perish? What would be their impact on this planet if they were still existing? Every person, no matter what age, should experience what it's like walking through the halls of this museum and be filled with questions and more knowledge. #museum #science #nature #history

Nurturing Trip in the National Museum
We’ve always been a fan of history that why went to the National Museum of Natural History. Little did we realize that this place is also Instagram worthy. Don’t worry, the entrance is completely free. You just need to formally register your name before entering. The architectural building and cool breeze inside the museum truly amazed us. There were interactive areas inside the museum which entertained people of all ages. We were amazed by the real life replicas inside. Moreover, there were clear historical summaries per area which made us more aware of our Philippines history. Truly made me proud to be a Filipino to see this! #museum

It is wonderful that a museum like this exists in the Philippines. With both interactive and informational displays and exhibits, there is no shortage of things to see and do here. I suggest spending at the very least an hour here, definitely more.
I even suggest coupling it with visits to the National Museum of Fine Arts and National Museum of Anthropology which are just a few minutes away on foot. A good all-day trip with food close by.

The museum is a visual treat – from the breathtaking Tree of Life display at their entrance to the gigantic replica of Lolong, biggest crocodile ever on record. 🌳🐊
The exhibitions are not only attractive but also educative – there is the evolution gallery, biodiversity section and “Kalikasan” diorama which highlights the rich natural heritage of Philippines. 🌏
The DNA Tree of Life, as the centerpiece is a blend of art and science. With interactive displays, complicated subjects become understandable even for children. 🧬

This museum is part of the National Museum Complex, which also houses the National Museum of Fine Arts and the National Museum of Anthropology. The museum is free of charge, but leave your backpack in storage (also free).
The museum is a repository of species that can be found in the Philippines, but there are plenty of them. In every floor and section of the museum, you’ll find different kinds of ecosystems where those species thrive. There was also a life-size model of Lolong, probably the world’s largest saltwater crocodile that has ever lived or captured.

One with Nature inside the City!
National Museum of Natural History. Located in Metro Manila, across Manila Doctor's Hospital and walking distance from Luneta Park. This museum houses a vasta and astonishing collection of different preserved flora and fauna of the Philippines, including the remains / skeleton of the largest crocodile held in captivity - Lolong. The museum showcases naturally inspired sounds and environment where it strategically replicates the actual habitat of the animals such as the forests, mosses, marshes / wetlands or body of water such that it creates an actual representation of the wild life.
