Most colourful neighbourhood in London! 🇬🇧
Wondering where in London can you find these cute streets with colourful houses you have been seeing all over the internet? While some of them are very popular and always packed with crowds, there are also some lesser known! One of them is Hillgate Village, a charming residential area situated within Notting Hill in West London. It's a small and exclusive neighborhood characterized by its elegant Victorian and Edwardian houses, tree-lined streets, and a serene atmosphere. This picturesque part of Notting Hill is known for its quiet and secluded feel, offering a more tranquil setting compared to the lively streets of Portobello Road and Notting Hill Gate nearby. Hillgate Village is prized for its beautiful architecture, featuring well-preserved period homes adorned with colorful doors, intricate facades, and well-manicured gardens, adding to its visual appeal. Many of these houses retain their original architectural charm, contributing to the area's quaint and refined ambiance. The area is also easily accessible with Notting Hill Gate underground station located only a couple min walk away. :) #falltrip #localguides #London #mytravelhacks #NottingHill

Notting Hill: London's Vibrant Neighborhood
Notting Hill is a place that has captured my heart and soul. From the bustling Portobello Road Market to the picturesque streets lined with colorful houses, this neighborhood is a feast for the senses. Also, you'll find lots of antiques here!
Notting Hill is more than just a pretty face. It's a place that celebrates art, culture, and diversity. The Museum of Brands is a testament to this, showcasing a fascinating collection of vintage packaging and advertisements that offer a glimpse into the past.
Best time to visit: Notting Hill is crowded throughout the year but weekday mornings in the winter tend to be less hectic. Why not give it a shot this winter?! 😉

Just a girl, standing in Notting Hill
Embarking on a day of cinematic exploration in the heart of London's Notting Hill, I found myself immersed in the nostalgia and romance of the beloved movie, "Notting Hill." It was as if I had stepped into the very pages of a screenplay, following the footsteps of Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
My adventure began with a visit to the famous blue door, an iconic symbol of the film. Nestled on a quaint residential street, it stood out like a gem, its vibrant hue a testament to the enduring allure of movie magic. As I posed for a photo beside it, I couldn't help but reflect on the countless scenes that had unfolded behind this door on the silver screen.
Next, I ventured to the charming Travel Bookshop, which served as the inspiration for Hugh Grant's character's bookshop in the film. Though it had changed ownership since its cinematic fame, the spirit of literary exploration and the warm ambiance remained, making it a delightful spot to browse through shelves of travel tales and absorb the literary essence of the neighborhood.
Wandering further, I stumbled upon the bustling Portobello Road Market. The vibrant marketplace, with its eclectic array of stalls selling antiques, vintage clothing, and international cuisine, evoked the same eclectic energy that the movie beautifully captured. It was easy to envision the film's characters, William and Anna, wandering hand in hand through this vibrant tapestry of culture.
The day wouldn't have been complete without a stop at the charming Notting Hill Arts Club, where scenes of live music and vibrant nightlife had unfolded on the big screen. While there, I soaked in the artistic atmosphere, relishing the idea that the spirit of creativity and romance from the movie still lingered in this very place.
Notting Hill had cast its spell on me, just as it had on the silver screen, making this day an unforgettable blend of reality and reel life in one of London's most iconic neighborhoods.

Where to see the wisteria around London
I experienced wisteria hysteria last year and can confirm it’s a thing! There is something so beautiful about this gorgeous purple flower. And how lucky we are to live in London where it seems to bloom out of control for which I am so happy and thankful to get to experience. Below I share some of the best places to go and see it yourself:
1. Kynance Mews - Kensington 2. Bedford Gardens - Notting Hill 3. Cheyne Walk - Chelsea 4. Fuller’s Griffin Brewery - Chiswick 6. Christchurch Street - Chelsea 7. Horbury Mews - Notting Hill 8. Walden Books - Chalk Farm 9. Manor Street - Chelsea 10. Ensor Mews - Kensington

Sharing one of my fav brunch places in London!! 🇬🇧 It is near Notting Hill Gate station, 10-15mins walk to there. The food is ALL so delicious with a reasonable price, a great place for catching up with friends. It is also next to the vintage selling Portobello market, ideal to visit both places at a time in the weekend💯
Tips:
✔️Walk-in only, there’s always a short queue outside
✔️Shakshuka is the must try dish

Notting Hill
Popularized by the Hollywood romantic drama of the same title starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, Notting Hill is one of London's most iconic neighborhood.
Outside from the movie, Notting Hill is best known for its crayon colored buildings lined up in the streets. This vibrant and trendy area, with casual cafes lining bohemian Portobello Road, is popular for its busy market selling antiques and vintage fashion. There are also high-end restaurants and upscale boutiques cluster around the area.
Notting Hill is also home the world's 2nd biggest Carnival next to Rio's Mardi Gras and is a favorite destination for those looking to have quintessential London experience.

Nothing hill
Yes, this is the place where many people know from the movie. Really liked this neighborhood. There are a lot of bars, cafe, restaurants etc.. but it is not too noisy and easy to access to anywhere by a tube and a bus. On weekends, there is a market so if you are in London, this would be a place to check!

Notting Hill London
Inspired by Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant's movie " Notting Hill," I made an effort to visit this beautiful, cosmopolitan and famous place in the West London district
Notting Hill is a vibrant and trendy area with casual cafes and restaurants, antique shops, and vintage fashion. Not forget to mention the weekend market. There are some upscale restaurants and high-end boutiques in the Westbourne Grove area.
Notting hill has gained a reputation as an affluent and fashionable area, with attractive terrace houses and large Victorian townhouses. The area is so beautiful, with colorful shop houses, stunning window showcases, and shops. Definitely is the best place for picture spots.
The best and easy way to get to here is take the London Underground train and stop at Notting Hill Gate.

"Brunch" is a combination of "Breakfast" and "Lunch", meaning "Brunch".
originated in the late 19th century in the British upper class, when the British who had money and time were keen to hunt in the morning and eat late. It was later promoted and gradually became famous around the world.
People who live in the city will choose to enjoy a lazy Brunch on the weekend. Unlike dinner, Brunch pays more attention to the environment and communication. In a relaxed and bright atmosphere, with family or friends, don't worry, don't hurry. Sleeping can sleep to wake up naturally, creating a paradise for the whole morning. Brunch is a time concept and a pleasant slow lifestyle.
In the rainy day of Notting Hill, come to a Benedict egg, very comfortable.

Notting Hill located on the west side of London is a very unique corner of the city. A lot of people likely heard and knew of it because of the movie “Notting Hill”. The most famous spot is definitely the travel bookstore where Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant met. Perhaps as Hugh Grant said in the movie, only interesting folks live in this part of town.
From the outside you’ll see an array of various colorful houses, with flowers in full bloom on the balconies. All sorts of very well-designed storefronts can be seen here. Overall, you’ll find surprises around every corner.
Try to come here during the weekend, as there is a place here called Portobello Market, one of Notting Hill’s most popular markets. There are over 2,000 antique sellers here, and with influencers opening shop here too. Coats sell in this market are great. Even though they are street-side stalls, the price isn’t actually cheap at all.
See the door handles in this photo here? What a collection.
My recommendation here is still a list of various neighborhoods which I really like.
For people who are fans of the Sherlock Holmes movie, check out Baker Street.
In comparison to Shoreditch and Red Brick Lane, Neil street District is a lot more refined with more fashionable trends and goods. These are all highly popular among young people.
In Notting Hill, the focus is definitely on the movie “Notting Hill”. The market is a huge attraction.

Some people say Notting Hill people to no more than three categories. One is the plot has a serious retro, antique hobby, came to Taobao people.
