A Taste of Japan at Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL
#malaysiatrip
During my trip to Pavilion KL, I made my way to the highest floor to explore the famous Tokyo Street, and it felt like stepping into a little slice of Japan right here in Malaysia. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by beautiful Japanese decor, complete with vibrant cherry blossom trees, traditional lanterns, and an entrance that reminded me of a Japanese torii gate.
Tokyo Street offers an authentic Japanese experience with a variety of restaurants, stores, and unique sights. The dining options looked amazing, featuring everything from sushi to ramen and other delicious Japanese dishes. The shops were equally captivating, with traditional clothing, cute souvenirs, and stylish accessories that made it hard to resist shopping.
I particularly loved the small details—like the welcoming maneki-neko (lucky cat) statue and other cute character decorations that added to the charm of the place. The festive vibes with seasonal decorations made it even more magical. Whether you’re a fan of Japanese culture or just looking for a fun experience, Tokyo Street has something for everyone.
If you’re visiting Pavilion KL, don’t miss the chance to explore Tokyo Street. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy Japanese food, shop for unique items, and take some memorable photos. Truly a highlight of my trip!

Festive Joys: Christmas in Malaysian Malls
#festivaljoy#100waysoftravel #malaysia #christmas
One thing I love about Christmas in Malaysia is the way shopping malls go all out with their festive decorations. Every year, they surprise visitors with a different theme, from enchanted forests to classic winter wonderlands, making it exciting to see what’s in store. Malls like Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Suria KLCC transform into magical holiday destinations with towering Christmas trees, glittering lights, and intricate festive displays. It’s impossible not to get into the holiday spirit as you stroll through these beautifully decorated spaces, with Christmas songs playing in the air. We always look forward to visiting and immersing ourselves in the festive cheer, while exploring the special events and holiday sales.

🇲🇾 KL walking tour
#localtourguides #100WaysOfTravel
Join a local walking tour and these tours are usually free. You do give some tips if you feel your guide has helped you. This is a great activity to get to know the city quickly with a local tour guide. Sometimes you can also use social media to find out the best walking route and do it yourself too. In KL, it is easy to walk in the city and I prefer walking as there are proper pavement and overhead bridges. I combine it with the rapid KL train system and plan a half day itinerary for myself.

Lavish shopping mall
The Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur is one of the very popular shopping centres among Singaporeans who do short hops to the Malaysian city! Situated in the district of Bukit Bintang, it has more than 700 restaurants and retail stores across a staggering 11 floors in the mall. There is a mix of international brands, such as Tommy Hilfiger and SASA cosmetics, as well as smaller brands like Nanyang Cafe and HWC Coffee.
For maximum convenience, I recommend staying at the hotel just above the mall, also by the name of Pavilion Hotel! That way, you can beat the traffic as it tends to get very jammed in the evening period.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Pavilion
Bukit Bintang boasts a number of large malls, but our favorite it probably the Pavilion. There is an underpass between the Fahrenheit 88 mall and the Pavilion mall, which we always take to avoid the hot sun and street traffic. Pavilion has a lot of well known brands, so we did some shoe shopping, had some coffee and donuts, watched a movie at the cinema, and checked out the Japanese themed Tokyo Street up above.

All of their products are handcrafted which are very collectible. I personally like their handmade daruma, the design is impressive which is cute and eye catching. I bought few as souvenirs to my family, wish them for a good year ahead.

EL & N London Cafe in Pavilion KL
A newly opened London cafe EL & N is located at 3rd level of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Just first day of opening you can see people queuing to visit the famous cafe. A pink theme with beautiful flowers decorated the whole of the cafe makes it even more tempting to get some lovely photos. They have a good selection of breakfast sets and some main meals. Not forgetting a load of desserts just at the front of the restaurant makes you want to try them all.

Located at Tokyo Street on the 6th floor of Pavilion Mall this restaurant is a must try. The food is reasonably priced and really very tasty. The owner is the main chef there and is always smiling and very welcoming. It’s not a very big place but it’s a cozy place to dine. It’s opened daily and from 10am to 10pm. There are variety of dishes but you can order the set menu which is on daily.

I went to walk a lot until too hungry so decided to drop by Han Sang at level 8. It's super quite since very new and many have not open yet. Food is quite nice and ambience is great. Service is good too. After eat, continue shopping look around and found my favourite brand Cartier! The price here is waaaay cheaper than Singapore. Dayone Dayone Noodles @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
Was at Pavilion Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and decided to try this Taiwanese inspired Dayone Dayone Noodle restaurant. The interior decorations were pretty much a typical Taiwanese style eatery. The servicing staffs were all friendly and attentive. Ordered pork dumping soup and Taiwanese fried chicken and for drinks Taiwanese bubble tea. The food were very good but the tea is a little too sweet for my liking. This restaurant was pretty packed for a weekday evening for dinner. Overall this is a recommended restaurant to visit if you are in Pavilion.

DELICIOUS POLO BUN IN KUALA LUMPUR!
ONCE WE ARRIVED AT THE ENTRANCE OF THIS SIMPLE CAFE, THE STAFF TOOK US TO OUR TABLE. IT WAS QUICK AND WE FELT WELCOMED. NO QUEUE NO HASSLE TO BE SEATED. ONCE WE WERE COMFORTABLE , WE WERE HANDED WITH A THICK MENU WITH BLACK COVER, A PENCIL AND A PAPER TO WRITE DOWN OUR ORDER.
I DECIDED TO TRY THEIR ORIENTAL COFFEE WHICH I REALLY ENJOYED, THICK COFFEE WITH CONDENSED MILK AND THE TASTE JUST LINGERS IN MY MOUTH. I HAD A BOWL OF PRAWN MEE MIXED WITH MIHON WHICH CAME WITH 2 BIG PRAWNS. THE TASTE WAS JUST OK, MAYBE IT DOESN'T SUIT MY TASTE BUDS. WE ALSO ORDERED 2 PLATES OF THE FAMOUS POLO BUN. THE CRUST ON TOP OF THE BUN WAS CRISPY WITH SOFT INSIDE. THE BUN WAS SERVED WITH 2 SLICES OF COLD BUTTER AND A SMALL GLASS CUP OF CONDENSED MILK. I KID YOU NOT, THE POLO BUN WAS DELICIOUS TO THE LAST BITE AND IT MADE ME WANTING FOR MORE.

THE VACATIONER!
Pavilion Mall Bukit Bintang KL
Visited Pavilion Mall Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. This is huge mall with well known retails store and super nice decorative neon lighting make this place super happening! The fountain in front of the main entrance itself is another attraction, with busy traffic for both human and vehicle around it make the place worth the visit to have an unique experience. The only compliant is due to the design of the mall, it is not so easy to locate a store from the directory.
