Malaysia Visa-Free | 7 Days 6 Nights Off-the-Beaten-Path Itinerary Guide
Just got back from Malaysia, took an unusual off-the-beaten-path route, traveling north from Malacca to Penang, exploring and wandering along the way. Besides the cities with Southeast Asian charm, there was also the freedom of durian orchards. This visa-free country is really too tempting. Sharing a less-traveled route suitable for the whole family.
·
D1: Shanghai - Kuala Lumpur - Malacca
D2: Malacca - Broga Orchard Hill (Durian Orchard) - Kuala Lumpur
D3: Batu Caves - Ipoh Sunway Lost World of Tambun - Ipoh
D4: Ipoh - Taiping Lake Gardens - Kuala Kurau - Penang
D5: Penang Day Tour
D6: Penang - Kuala Lumpur
D7: Kuala Lumpur - Sepang HL Dragon Fruit Farm - Kuala Lumpur Airport - Shanghai

Penang:
Compared to Kuala Lumpur, I prefer the world heritage site of Penang, which features a mix of Southeast Asian, Muslim, Chinese, and Indian architecture. The strong cultural atmosphere, interesting graffiti in the alleys, and the dazzling markets are all reasons why I like this old city. Although there are quite a few Michelin-starred restaurants in Penang, I still recommend saving some room in your stomach for the night market snacks!
Malacca:
Also a world heritage site, Malacca is a bit more colorful. After visiting the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum, I finally understood the origins of the Peranakans and learned more about the history of Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas.
Ipoh:
Malaysia's little Guilin, a small town in the mountains, with lots of delicious food. Saw a Malayan tapir at the Sunway Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh! So cute~
Must Eat Durian:
How can you come to Malaysia and not eat durian! The durians in Kuala Lumpur, the dragon fruits in Sepang, and the pomelos in Ipoh are all delicacies not to be missed~
Tips:
1. Malaysia is visa-free, with no time difference from China, and flights to Kuala Lumpur are very convenient.
2. There are super many wild animals, hornbills and monkeys can be seen in the parks. Please do not feed them randomly to protect the ecology.

Very surprised to discover how much of a gem Lost World is.
So much to see, so much to do, so much so I didn't have much time to visit Ipoh town as initially planned!
Ended up spending 2 days in the day park, 3 nights in the night park/hotspring...endless fun and excitement, and u get to experience all these right smack next to the majestic mountains and forests..
what's there not to love? My heart feels so refreshed being here, my spirits uplifted, Spent hours at the petting zoo too with the sweetest creatures there.
And the infinity hotpool and sauna cave is awesome for destressing.
If you love nature and animals, don't miss all these activities, take ur own sweet time.
The rides are pretty tame honestly, suitable for those with kids. Lots of food choices at reasonable prices. Neverending photo ops.
Also, the friendliest staff around. Hotel wise, it's comfortable and sufficient, not luxurious but it does well if ur on a budget.
I simply love it here and can't wait to come back again!!

LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN (Ipoh)
We have a short trip at Ipoh. We come to Lost World Hot Springs and Spa , it located at Ipoh, Malaysia . Here is the place for you to rest, relax and rejuvenate. When night you can come to Lost world of Tambun hot springs. There also have a food street themed in the style of old Ipoh that serves a variety of local street food, snacks, and dessert.
Ipoh is a well-known food haven, so Lost World of Tambun has gathered a variety of local favourites at the 1930s themed Lost World Ipoh Street for theme park visitors to enjoy.
At Here, you can find Ipoh specialties such as tau fu fah, heong peah, Ipoh white coffee, beansprout chicken, satay and Chinese food.
There are tables with parasols along Ipoh Street as well as a covered area further along (near the beansprout chicken stall) and a private air-conditioned area upstairs.
Self-service is operated here, so order at the individual stall, pay at the counter and collect your food. Prices are pretty reasonable for a theme park (ranging from RM2 onwards) and everyone can dine here as the food is certified Halal.

Lost World of Tambun and Hotel with toddler
We are happy with our hotel stay at Sunway Lost World of Tambun Hotel as it’s right in front of the theme park. The hotel rates offered with breakfast which is located at the restaurant opposite the hotel, and beside the theme park entrance so you need to walk a distance to get there. There are parking spaces located beside the hotel, out door car park spaces as well as behind the hotel. All hotel guests are reminded to bring along your own swimming gear upon entrance to the theme park night hot spring and spa with various kind of pools for adults and children. Good to bring along snack to standby in the hotel but please bare in mind no outside food was allowed . F&B outlets located within the theme park, with slightly high price but taste wise is good!! #themepark #awesomepic

Satiate and drink, then of course you have to relax. Its a good choice to go to Ipohs Sunway Lost Park. This newly opened paradise is located in the east of Ipoh, backed by green hills and has resources for natural hot springs. So hot springs here is a great choice. At the same time, on the basis of the hot springs, water parks, spas and hotels have also been built.
Sunway Lost Paradise has always been known as a water project. Once inside, you will see the largest pool in the park and will pass through a similar "water curtain hole". "The place, the whole person instantly refreshed." There aren't many people in the pool here, probably when we came, not for holidays, not for the weekend.
