[2024 Bangkok Stay] Travel Guide for Uma Residence (Updated Dec)
UMA Residence
Located near Khao San Road, the hotel front desk service is very good. I wanted to go to Khao San Road Night Market, and they helped me get a taxi. They were worried I wouldn't be able to find my way back, so they gave me a hotel business card and told me to show it to the driver! This gesture really made me want to stay here again next time I go to Thailand on business!
If you're only staying for a short time, or if you only want a clean, quiet, and cost-effective hotel, and don't care about luxury, I really recommend this hotel (the rooms are small).
The hotel entrance is small, which surprised me, but the hotel is almost as big as a star-rated hotel in a third-tier city.
Although it opened in 2014, the decor is very clean, and it has a pool.
Rooms cost around 200–400, some include breakfast, some don't, so make sure you check carefully before booking.
The local morning market is just outside! I forgot to book a room with breakfast, but it was a blessing in disguise, as I found a delicious breakfast restaurant that locals often eat at!

Most of my last quarter, I normally visited BKK in the area of Siyan. Uma is my reasonable choice as it is located in a serene nature, big trees shading over an outdoor pool. Enjoy peaceful in a mist of Metro BKK.
