If you drive from downtown Chengdu, it takes about 6 hours to reach the scenic area (this is suitable for a 2-day, 1-night weekend trip). If you take the high-speed train, it takes about 3 hours to reach Dechang West Station in Xichang, and then you can take a taxi or drive for about 1 hour to reach the scenic area.
There are hotels in the mountains, most of which are in good condition, clean, and tidy, with prices around 200. If you want to soak in the hot springs in the morning, staying in the mountains is very convenient.

Having heard of the famous Luojiajiu Shijiu Li Hot Spring Waterfall in Puge County, I specially stayed at a homestay near the scenic area entrance for a night to see and experience the cliff-hanging hot spring waterfall. There are many waterfalls and pools in the scenic area, but only one is an authentic hot spring waterfall. The radon-containing spring water, about 35 degrees Celsius, flows down from a height, which is novel. Unfortunately, summer is not the best time to visit here as it is too crowded. The Luojiajiu Shijiu Li Hot Spring Waterfall is known as the 'world's number one natural hot spring waterfall.'

May has come again, the season when flowers bloom, and the azaleas in Luojishan Scenic Area and Haikou Ranch are so intoxicating!
Upon reaching Puge Luojishan Town, we chose the best hotel nearby the scenic area (Yijia Hotel) with room facilities and services that are no less than those in city hotels, very satisfying. It's essential to find a good place to rest when traveling!
Reaching the top of the mountain, azaleas were everywhere, immersing oneself in a sea of flowers. It was simply out of this world. I took a casual snap to share the beauty with everyone!
After enjoying the beautiful scenery, I went to soak in the Luojishan Ninety-Nine Mile Hot Spring. After the hot spring, it was past 6 pm! I still chose to stay at last night's hotel, the stay was really comfortable, and I feel this trip was totally worth it!
