Had a great flight from Amman to Riyadh!

✨Honest truth from someone who just returned from Saudi Arabia | If you're planning to go, you must read this Many people think September–October is a good time to visit Saudi Arabia, but after experiencing it firsthand, I advise everyone to be cautious❗️ ❶ September is still scorching hot and sunny🌡️ Daytime highs are still 38–42℃, and it's even hotter in desert areas. It's impossible to visit outdoor attractions during the day; you can only go out in the early morning or evening. Visiting AlUla or Elephant Rock at noon will have you getting heatstroke in minutes—no amount of sunscreen can protect you. ❷ October is the start of peak season, and prices skyrocket📈 Riyadh Season officially kicks off in October, with a huge influx of locals and tourists. Hotel and vacation rental prices jump by 30%–60%, and popular listings get snapped up quickly. Attractions and shopping districts become crowded, traffic is terrible, and the overall experience is significantly diminished. ❸ Large temperature difference between day and night, easy to struggle with adjustment It's muggy during the day, cools down quickly at night, and it's windy in the desert at night. Plus, many local shops don't open until after 3:00 PM, completely flipping your schedule and making it easy to disrupt your travel rhythm. ✅👉Best time to visit: November–March Temperatures are a stable 20–28℃, not too hot or sunny. It's comfortable for dune bashing, visiting historical sites, and stargazing. Various large-scale festivals are also concentrated during this period. 💡Tips ▪️Visa: E-visa/visa on arrival are both fine; get it sorted before you travel ▪️Attire: Don't wear overly revealing clothing; respect local customs ▪️Transportation: Prioritize ride-hailing apps; don't take unlicensed taxis on the street ▪️Essentials: High-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, UK-style power adapter If you can only go in September–October, I recommend sticking to indoor city attractions and minimizing outdoor desert activities!

⚠️ Just got back from Saudi Arabia, and honestly, if you're planning to head there for the National Day holiday, you must read this! In September, daytime temperatures in Saudi Arabia still soar to 38–40°C🔥, and early October is still very hot; it's impossible to walk around outdoors at noon. If you want to visit the Old Town of AlUla, Hegra, or the Edge of the World, going out during the day will give you heatstroke in minutes. You can only go out in the early morning or evening, which severely compresses your sightseeing time. Plus, September 23 is Saudi National Day. Local tourist numbers surge, flight and hotel prices rise, and popular homestays and luxury desert camps are hard to book, which significantly increases your budget. ✅ Best time to visit: November – March of the following year Temperatures are 20–28°C, making it comfortable for desert hiking, dune bashing, and visiting historical sites. Riyadh Season and AlUla Winter events are all available, offering an incredible experience. 💡 A quick tip for those planning to go ▪️ Visa: You can apply for an e-tourist visa, which is valid for one year with multiple entries and a maximum stay of 90 days ▪️ Clothing: Avoid wearing overly revealing clothes in public, and bring long-sleeved sun-protective clothing ▪️ Power outlets: Remember to bring a UK-style adapter ▪️ Transportation: Use ride-hailing apps; avoid street taxis as you might get overcharged Many people think that October is autumn and cool, but autumn actually arrives very late in Saudi Arabia. Don't be misled by the season! If you can only travel in September–October, try to focus on a Red Sea beach vacation and minimize outdoor historical site itineraries.

🏜️ Saudi Arabia is a destination meant to be explored at a leisurely pace. It features the modern city skyline of Riyadh, as well as ancient oases and red canyons. You can walk through historic old towns, explore the traces left by Silk Road civilizations, or drive into the heart of the desert to wait for the sunset among golden sand dunes. 🏙️ Riyadh: Start with the modern city As an important city in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh possesses a character interwoven with modern architecture, commercial spaces, and traditional markets. Head to the Kingdom Centre, ascend the Sky Bridge, and overlook the Riyadh cityscape from above. 🕌 Diriyah: Step into the streets of Saudi history If you want to experience a more traditional side of Saudi Arabia, set aside some time for Diriyah. It preserves the traditional architectural style of the Najd region, where streets, courtyards, and cultural spaces allow you to gain a more intuitive understanding of local history. 🏜️ Red Desert: Watch a sunset over the dunes Leaving the city, a more vast side of Saudi Arabia begins to emerge. Head to the Red Sand Dunes near Riyadh, take an off-road vehicle deep into the desert, and experience the open landscape among the rolling dunes. Evening is a moment worth waiting for in the desert; the dunes shift from gold to orange-red, leaving only simple and vast lines between heaven and earth. You can also arrange a desert camp experience, enjoy dinner under the stars, and feel a tranquility different from city nights. 🪨 AlUla: Travel through rocks and ancient ruins When visiting Saudi Arabia, you cannot miss AlUla. In addition to the Old Town of AlUla, it boasts unique desert landscapes and ancient ruins, where massive rocks, canyons, and ancient civilizations combine to form a unique vista. A highlight worth scheduling is Hegra, where rock-cut tombs left by the ancient Nabataean civilization are scattered across the desert. Looking from afar, the rocks and architecture seem to blend into the desert. Head to Elephant Rock, wait for the sunset, and capture travel photos amidst the natural rock formations and the desert. 📌 Tap the product card below to start your curated Saudi Arabia vacation with HHtravel.

If you're looking for a place to take truly stunning cityscape photos in Riyadh, I recommend stopping by Entrecôte Café de Paris — انتروكوت كافيه دو باريس. The main reason is the restaurant's terrace with an open view of the city. From here, Riyadh's modern high-rises are clearly visible, making them the perfect backdrop for your photos. You can easily step out onto the terrace and enjoy the view of this impressive modern metropolis. I especially recommend coming closer to sunset. The sky takes on beautiful hues at this time, and after sunset, the city gradually lights up. In the evening, the high-rises look especially spectacular, allowing you to capture several different shots at once, each with a different mood. 📍 Entrecôte Café de Paris — Riyadh, Saudi Arabia If you're in Riyadh and looking for an unusual photo location with a view of the skyscrapers, this place is definitely worth adding to your itinerary. #riyadh #riyadh #saudiarabia

#epictravelmoments Riyadh gave me the perfect mix of Saudi Arabian tradition, modern luxury, amazing food, and unforgettable moments! 🇸🇦✨ From the golden desert outside the city to the impressive skyscrapers and busy streets of downtown Riyadh, every part of this journey felt completely different. I started by exploring the Saudi desert, where I got to see camels up close 🐪. Honestly, the camels looked like they owned the place—and I was just visiting! 😂 The peaceful desert scenery, golden sand, and traditional atmosphere gave me a real feeling of Saudi Arabia beyond the modern city. Then I headed into downtown Riyadh, and wow! 🏙️ The city’s architecture, skyscrapers, roads, lights, and modern buildings create an incredible skyline. Driving through downtown was an experience by itself 🚗—especially while watching the city become more impressive with every turn. Of course, I couldn’t visit Riyadh without trying the local food! 🍽️🇸🇦 The flavors, spices, presentation, and traditional dishes made the trip even more memorable. And yes… I probably ate more than I planned! 😂 One of my favorite moments was entering the Radisson Collection and enjoying the incredible views from a restaurant high above the city. Looking down at Riyadh from up there was completely different—the city looked massive, beautiful, and full of life. 🌆✨ What I loved most about Riyadh is the contrast: camels and desert on one side, futuristic skyscrapers and luxury restaurants on the other. It feels like ancient traditions and the modern world are living together in the same city. And let’s be honest… driving around a new city always comes with funny moments. Sometimes you think you know where you’re going, then suddenly the road gives you a completely different plan! 😂🚗 🇸🇦 Riyadh is definitely a city I would love to explore again. 👇 QUESTION FOR YOU: Would you rather spend a day exploring the Saudi desert with camels 🐪 or spend the evening enjoying the Riyadh skyline from a luxury restaurant 🌆? And if you visited Riyadh, what food would you recommend I try next? 🇸🇦🍽️

Saudi Arabia’s capital is currently seeing a tourism boom: here, ultra-modern world-class architecture sits alongside centuries-old Arabian desert traditions and a unique local culture. Top locations and wow-spots: Edge of the World (Jebel Fihrayn): Stunning 300-meter sheer cliffs 90 km from the city, offering a panorama of an ancient dried-up ocean floor. Arrive in a 4x4 SUV two hours before sunset—the views are absolutely Martian. Kingdom Centre (Sky Bridge): A 300-meter skyscraper with an open sky bridge on the 99th floor. This spot offers the best view of the city’s glittering night lights. Ticket: 69 SAR ($18). Diriyah & At-Turaif: The UNESCO-protected mud-brick cradle of the first Saudi state. Adjacent is the elite Bujairi Terrace restaurant cluster, overlooking the illuminated fortress. KAFD (King Abdullah Financial District): A district showcasing the future of parametric architecture by Zaha Hadid Architects—an ideal spot for stylish urban photography and specialty coffee. Food and coffee scene: The Specialty Coffee Culture: Riyadh is one of the world’s specialty coffee capitals. Visit concept coffee shops like Elixir Bunn, Brew92, or Coyard for a cold brew or traditional Saudi gahwa with cardamom and dates. Price: 20–30 SAR ($5–8). National cuisine at Najd Village: An authentic restaurant-museum with traditional floor seating on carpets. Order kabsa (spiced rice with tender lamb) or harees. Average bill: 70–120 SAR ($18–32) per person. Travel tips: Dress code and rules: Tourist visas (eVisa) can be obtained online in just a few minutes. While female tourists are no longer required to wear a traditional abaya, modest dress is mandatory (Smart Casual: covered shoulders and knees for both men and women). Transport: Use the Uber or Careem apps to get around—distances between districts are vast, and it is impossible to travel on foot. Seasonality: The ideal time to visit is from November to March, when temperatures remain at a comfortable +20–26°C. 📍 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

#skylinescapes Riyadh’s skyline has its own character — bold, modern and full of buildings in completely different shapes and designs. From sleek glass towers to distinctive geometric structures, every building seems to bring something different to the cityscape. I love how the skyline doesn’t feel repetitive. Some towers are tall and sharp, others have unique curves or futuristic forms, while the classic Kingdom Centre adds an instantly recognisable landmark to the view. Walking around Riyadh and looking up, you can really see how the city is transforming into a modern global destination. The mix of architectural styles makes every skyline photo feel slightly different. 📸✨ For me, that’s what makes Riyadh interesting — it’s not just about how tall the buildings are, but how different their shapes and designs can be. Which building would you pick as your favourite Riyadh skyline landmark?

Welcome to Riyadh

#skylinescapes Riyadh Skyline Escapes 🌆✨ Riyadh has a skyline that feels bold, modern and full of character. The city’s iconic Kingdom Centre stands proudly above the streets, while the growing collection of futuristic skyscrapers shows how quickly Riyadh is changing. What I enjoyed most was seeing the contrast between the modern city and the traditional Saudi atmosphere. During the day, the skyline looks impressive under the bright desert sun, but sunset is when Riyadh really comes alive. 🌅 As the sky gets darker, the buildings light up and the city takes on a completely different mood. It’s a great place for photography, especially when you can capture the skyline with the wide desert sky in the background. 📸 Riyadh definitely surprised me with its architecture and city views. If you had one evening in Riyadh, where would you go for the best skyline photo? 🌃

I arrived on a flight that landed in a city of glass and steel. The skyline rose from the desert. The heat hit me like a wall. Riyadh is not a city that apologizes. It's bold and ambitious and changing faster than anyone can track. But underneath the towers, there's an older city. A city of mud-brick walls and spice markets and coffee rituals that go back centuries. Here's how the capital of Saudi Arabia surprised me at every turn. 🌅 6:00 AM — The City Before The Heat Riyadh is hot. Even in winter, the sun is strong. At dawn, it's bearable. I walked through the streets of the old quarter. The mud-brick walls glowed. The minarets rose. The city was waking up. A man swept the sidewalk. He nodded at me. I nodded back. This is Riyadh before the heat. It's the best time. 🆓 Free 📍 @Old Riyadh ⏰ Before 8 AM ☕ 9:00 AM — Saudi Coffee In A Courtyard Saudi coffee is not like other coffee. It's light and spiced with cardamom and saffron. It's served in tiny cups with dates. I found a café in the old quarter. The owner poured the coffee from a traditional pot. The dates were sweet and sticky. I sat in the courtyard. The city noise faded. This is Riyadh's oldest ritual. Hospitality. 💸 20 SAR (about 5 USD) 📍 Café in @Old Riyadh 🏛️ 11:00 AM — The Fort That Built A Nation Al Masmak Fortress is where modern Saudi Arabia began. In 1902, Abdulaziz recaptured this fort and began the unification of the kingdom. The walls are thick. The rooms are quiet. I walked through. The exhibits tell the story. This is not ancient history. It's the foundation of a country that's barely a hundred years old. 🆓 Free 📍 @Al Masmak Fortress 🥘 1:00 PM — Lunch In A Kitchen That Feeds Like Family I found a restaurant called Najd Village. It's designed like a traditional Najdi house. The seating is on the floor. The menu is Saudi. I ordered kabsa, the national dish. Rice with spiced chicken and vegetables. It arrived on a massive platter. I ate with my hands. The flavors were deep and warm. This is Saudi food. Generous and comforting. 💸 60 SAR (about 16 USD) 📍 @Najd Village 🛍️ 3:00 PM — The Market Where Time Slows Souq Al Zal is Riyadh's oldest market. It's a maze of narrow alleys. Carpets. Antiques. Spices. Traditional clothing. I walked through. A merchant offered me tea. I accepted. He showed me old coins and silver daggers. I bought a small carpet. He wrapped it with care. This is Riyadh's memory. It's still alive. 🆓 Free to wander 📍 @Souq Al Zal 🌅 5:30 PM — Sunset From The Edge Of The World The Edge of the World is outside the city. It's a cliff that drops into an ancient ocean bed. I drove there with a guide. The road was rough. The view was impossible. The desert stretched to the horizon. The sun set. The sky went orange and purple. I stood at the edge. The wind was strong. This is Saudi Arabia's secret. It's not all desert. It's beauty that breaks you open. 🆓 Free, but need a guide 📍 @Edge of the World 🍽️ 8:30 PM — Dinner In A Tower Over The City Riyadh's skyline is new. I found a restaurant on the 77th floor of the Kingdom Centre. The city spread out below. The lights glittered. I ordered lamb chops and a glass of mint lemonade. The meat was tender. The drink was cold. This is the new Riyadh. Ambitious and confident. It's building the future. 💸 200 SAR (about 53 USD) 📍 Restaurant in @Kingdom Centre 🌙 10:30 PM — The Empty Streets Of A City That Prays Riyadh at night is quiet. The shops close for prayer. The streets empty. I walked back to my hotel. The towers glowed. The mosques were lit. A cat crossed the street. The city was peaceful. Riyadh had done its work. It had shown me the old and the new. The fort and the tower. The souk and the skyline. It's a city of contradictions. That's exactly why it matters. 🆓 Free 📍 @Riyadh Center 🏨 Where I Stayed (And Woke Up To Towers) The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh — a palace-like hotel with gardens and fountains. My room had a view of the city. Booked via Trip.com. 💸 ~300 USD/night via Trip.com 💡 Five Things Riyadh Whispered To Me · The heat is real. Plan outdoor activities for early morning and evening. · The coffee ritual is not optional. Accept it. It's a gesture of welcome. · Trip.com eSIM had perfect signal even at the Edge of the World. · Learn "shukran" (thank you) and "salam alaikum" (peace be upon you). The warmth in return is immediate. · Dress modestly. It's respectful and expected. Riyadh is not a city that tries to be old. It's new and proud and changing faster than anyone can track. But underneath the towers, there's a fort and a souk and a coffee ritual that's been here for centuries. It's a city of contradictions. It's a city that's building the future while remembering the past. I came with uncertainty. I left with respect. I’ve traveled through a fair share of deserts, but nothing prepared me for AlUla. This is a place where sandstone canyons open into hidden valleys, where tombs carved by the Nabataeans still stand sharp against the rock after two millennia, and where the silence feels less like emptiness and more like something ancient still watching. For years, AlUla was closed to the outside world, protected almost by accident. Now that it’s open, it doesn’t feel like a destination playing catch-up — it feels like a place that’s been quietly waiting for the right moment to be seen. 🏜️ A City Carved, Not Built Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the obvious starting point, and it earns every bit of its reputation. Walking among more than a hundred monumental tombs carved directly into sandstone outcrops, I kept forgetting these weren’t natural rock formations — every facade, every ornate doorway, was chiseled by hand by the Nabataeans, the same civilization behind Petra, centuries ago. Unlike Petra, Hegra is spread across open desert rather than a single canyon, so each tomb appears almost unexpectedly, rising out of empty sand like a mirage that turns out to be real. Elephant Rock, a massive natural sandstone formation shaped uncannily like its namesake, is where I watched my first AlUla sunset. As the light shifted from gold to deep orange, the rock seemed to change color entirely, and the surrounding dunes glowed like embers. It’s become something of a local gathering spot in the evenings, with seating areas and food trucks turning a natural wonder into a genuinely social experience. 🚶 Walking Through Deep Time The old town of AlUla, a maze of mudbrick buildings abandoned in the 1980s, offers a completely different kind of history — closer, more human in scale. Wandering its narrow alleys at dusk, past crumbling walls and old doorways, felt less like visiting a monument and more like walking through someone’s abandoned memory. Not far away, Jabal Ikmah — sometimes called an open-air library — holds thousands of ancient inscriptions carved into rock faces, written in scripts spanning multiple civilizations and languages. Standing there, reading (or trying to) messages left by people thousands of years ago, gave me a strange, humbling sense of how long this land has been telling stories. 🎨 A Desert Reimagined What surprised me most was how AlUla balances its ancient character with genuinely contemporary experiences. Maraya, often cited as the world’s largest mirrored building, sits almost invisible against the surrounding canyon walls, reflecting the desert back at itself so seamlessly that it seems to disappear. Inside, it hosts concerts, exhibitions, and cultural events that feel entirely at odds with the ancient silence just outside its doors — and somehow that contrast works. I also spent an afternoon hot air ballooning over the AlUla valley at sunrise, watching the canyon’s colors shift beneath me as the sun climbed. From above, the scale of the landscape becomes even harder to comprehend — canyons stretching toward the horizon in every direction, with barely a sign of modern life in sight. 🏨 Where to Stay AlUla offers everything from luxury desert resorts to boutique heritage stays. For a fully immersive experience, several resorts built directly into the surrounding rock formations blend seamlessly into the landscape, offering panoramic desert views from private terraces. If you prefer to stay closer to the old town and local restaurants, smaller boutique hotels near central AlUla put you within easy reach of Jabal Ikmah and the old city walls. ✈️ Getting There AlUla is served by its own airport, Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, with direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah, along with a growing number of regional connections. From the airport, most major sites — Hegra, Elephant Rock, Maraya — are a short drive away, making a rental car or arranged transport the easiest way to get around. 🌅 A Final Thought AlUla doesn’t ask to be compared to Petra, even though the two share the same ancient hands. It stands entirely on its own — a landscape that spent centuries hidden away, only now stepping into the light. I left with sand still in my shoes and the distinct feeling that I’d witnessed somewhere still becoming what it’s meant to be. Ready to explore AlUla for yourself? Find flights, desert resorts, and guided tours through Trip.com to plan your journey into Saudi Arabia’s ancient valley.

#underratedspots I was honestly nervous before visiting Jeddah. There wasn’t much travel information online, and I wasn’t sure what to expect as a solo female traveler. I even wondered, “Will I really be okay traveling here alone?” But after visiting… my answer is absolutely yes! As a Japanese traveler, getting an eVisa was surprisingly quick and easy, and I felt comfortable exploring the city on my own. Jeddah is a lively coastal city with stylish hotels, beautiful cafés, and a relaxed atmosphere. Personally, I found it calmer than Riyadh, making it a great choice for solo travelers. One place you shouldn’t miss is Al Rahma Mosque, also known as the Floating Mosque. At high tide, it looks like it’s floating on the Red Sea—it’s one of the most beautiful views in Jeddah. A quick tip: dress modestly by covering your shoulders and knees in public. While the rules are generally relaxed for tourists, I always carried a scarf just in case. Also, avoid photographing military facilities, royal sites, or local women without permission. Jeddah completely changed my impression of Saudi Arabia. Have you ever considered visiting? #Jeddah #SaudiArabia #SoloFemaleTravel #MiddleEastTravel

A Comprehensive Overview of Aircraft HZ-RXX: Decoding Saudi Aviation Symbols In the aviation world, the letters and numbers painted on an aircraft's tail are not just random decorations; they serve as an international "passport" or "ID card" that identifies the aircraft's country of origin and its registered owner. Among these, the registration HZ-RXX stands out, carrying clear indicators that link it directly to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Decoding the HZ-RXX Registration To understand the nature of this aircraft, we must break down its registration code into two primary parts, according to the regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO): The National Prefix (HZ): This code definitively indicates that the aircraft is registered in Saudi Arabia. Every country in the world has a unique prefix (e.g., N for the United States, A6 for the UAE). The HZ prefix is the official identifier for all Saudi aircraft, whether they belong to commercial airlines, cargo fleets, or private owners. The Registration Suffix (RXX): This part serves as the unique identifier for the specific aircraft. It usually consists of three letters following the national prefix. In this case, RXX represents the aircraft's specific sequence in the registries of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). Certain letter combinations are often used to distinguish the fleet of a specific airline, or they may indicate VIP and business jets. What Type of Aircraft Holds This Registration? Since aircraft registration databases are constantly updated, the HZ-RXX registration pattern typically applies to one of the following categories: Private/Business Jets: Saudi Arabia boasts one of the largest private aviation fleets in the Middle East. High-end aircraft such as Gulfstream, Bombardier, or Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) frequently carry similar registrations. Commercial Aviation: The aircraft could belong to one of the national carriers, such as Saudia, flynas, or flyadeal. Medevac or Government Aircraft: Certain registration sequences are reserved for aircraft performing specialized missions, such as air ambulance services or search and rescue operations. Aircraft Registration Regulations in Saudi Arabia For an aircraft to obtain a registration starting with HZ, it must meet strict criteria set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom. These criteria include:

#localrules I honestly expected Saudi Arabia to feel challenging as a solo female traveler… but it turned out to be one of the easiest and most comfortable trips I’ve taken. People were incredibly welcoming, and I always felt that locals were happy to see visitors exploring their country. I found plenty of stylish cafés and great restaurants, and I was pleasantly surprised by how widely English was spoken in the major cities. Most importantly, I felt safe throughout my trip. Even walking alone at night, I never felt uncomfortable or threatened. One question I get a lot is about clothing. The good news is that foreign women are no longer required to wear an abaya. During my trip, wearing modest clothing that covered my shoulders and knees and wasn’t too tight was perfectly acceptable. I mostly wore loose-fitting dresses, and they felt comfortable, respectful, and appropriate everywhere I visited. Saudi Arabia completely changed my expectations, and I’d happily recommend it to other solo female travelers. Would you consider visiting Saudi Arabia on your own? 😊 #solofemaletravel #SaudiArabia #MiddleEast #TravelTips

#footballmatchfoodmap Incredible Japanese Iftar at Nozomi Riyadh I had an amazing Japanese Iftar experience at Nozomi Riyadh everything felt elevated, from the atmosphere to the service and, most importantly, the food. A big highlight was the hospitality from our servers Shihab Ron and Prado, Shihab Ron recommended the beef dish, and it was truly outstanding perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. Prado suggested starting with the spiced coconut seafood soup, and it was the ideal opener: warm, fragrant, and beautifully balanced with a rich coconut base and comforting spice. Service was attentive, friendly, and confident with recommendations, which made the whole experience feel effortless and special. If you’re looking for a memorable Iftar with a Japanese twist, Nozomiis absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

📍 Stunning Day Trip from Riyadh | Edge of the World "This was the absolute best place I visited in Riyadh. If you want to experience the sheer majesty of the Saudi Arabian landscape, the Edge of the World is a must-see." It's not just a place to look at the scenery; it’s a place where you truly experience the sensation of "standing at the edge of the Earth." Before your eyes lies an endless wasteland and a sheer cliff where the earth seemingly drops off into nowhere. Standing there, you'll be left speechless by the sheer scale of it all. It’s an otherworldly view that makes you wonder, "Is this really Earth?" The late afternoon was especially memorable. The dry air, the light softening as the sun goes down, the dust against your skin, and the landscape quietly shifting in color. While the photos are amazing, the true magic of this place can only be understood by experiencing it in person. ⸻ 🚙 How to Get There · Approx. 100 km by car from downtown Riyadh · Travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours · A 4WD tour is highly recommended over driving yourself ⸻ 🕒 Sample Tour Itinerary The tour I took was similar to an afternoon-departure sunset tour. · Around 1:00 PM: Depart from Riyadh · Around 2:45 PM: Rest stop, restroom break & camel experience · Around 4:00 PM: Arrive at the Edge of the World and explore · Evening: Watch the sunset · Around 6:45 PM: Dinner in the desert · Around 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Return to Riyadh The whole trip takes about 6.5 to 7 hours. Depending on the tour company, some itineraries include a stop to see camels along the way. ⸻ 💰 Estimated Costs · Group Tour: 180 - 250 SAR / person (Approx. $48 - $66 USD) · Private Tour: From 1000 SAR / 4-passenger SUV (Approx. $266 USD and up) · Calculated at approx. 1 SAR ≈ $0.27 USD · Dinner inclusion may require an additional fee · Prices vary depending on the season, itinerary, and tour company · The tour I joined cost about $50 USD! ⸻ ✨ Why I Highly Recommend It · The feeling of literally standing at the edge of the world · A breathtaking view you can feel with your whole body—from the dry air and the soft glow of the sunset to the desert dust · It's not just the scenery; the jeep ride and desert dinner make for unforgettable travel memories ⸻ ⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind · There are no restrooms on-site → It’s best to book a tour that makes a pit stop beforehand · There are no fences along the cliffs! Be careful not to get too close · Make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and a light jacket. Sunglasses are a must too‼️ · Don't force yourself to go to the very edge for photos. It is genuinely dangerous, so please be extremely careful ⸻ I was amazed that such an overwhelming place, where you can feel the dynamic power of the Earth, is accessible on just a day trip from Riyadh. This isn't a place to just "see," but a place to "experience." If you have time during your stay in Riyadh, this is a spectacular spot you absolutely have to visit.

🌃 Urban Wonders: Riyadh’s King’s Centre Tower by Night The glittering skyline of Riyadh comes alive after dark, and nothing captures the city’s modern vibe quite like a nighttime view from the iconic King’s Centre Tower. Towering above the cityscape, this architectural masterpiece offers unforgettable panoramic scenes and the perfect fusion of contemporary design and Saudi culture. Start your evening with a stroll around the tower’s base—here, the illuminated structure makes for dramatic upward “building-overhead” angles that pop against the night sky. For the classic insta-worthy shot, position yourself on King Fahd Road to frame the tower’s illuminated ‘inverted arch’ with the sprawling city lights behind you. Glide up to the Sky Bridge near the tower’s summit for unrivaled 360° views—come just before dusk to catch both sunset colors and city lights sparking on. Keep your camera ready for outdoor cultural landmarks glowing below and the ever-changing hues of Riyadh’s modern architecture etched against the horizon. If you’re lucky, catch a local event or art installation in the tower’s plaza for a deeper dose of contemporary Saudi culture. 🙌 Tips & Precautions: · Dress modestly (shoulders/knees covered) in all public areas. Riyadh nights stay warm but sometimes get breezy atop the tower—bring a light jacket. · The Sky Bridge operates until around 11 PM but last entries may be earlier; plan to arrive by 9 PM for a relaxed visit. · Tripods/large camera gear may require special permission—smartphones are the way to go for hassle-free shots. · Friday evenings are busiest; for quieter atmospheres, opt for weeknights. #Riyadh #Cityscape #ModernArchitecture #NightView #SaudiArabia
