Top tips for wildlife sighting in Zion National Park 🇺🇸
#usatrip
Introducing this number 1 tip for those who are looking to spot amazing wildlife in Zion National Park, especially the big horn sheep!
🚗 Best location to spot wildlife: drive along the 30 mile route between the East Entrance and the Zion Visitor Center, big horn sheep, deers, and various birds are active around this area! Be sure to drive slow and stop when you see other cars stopping by to take photos!
⏰ Best time to spot wildlife: early morning and late evening are the best time to admire wildlife as they are generally most active around this time given that it’s relatively cooling compared to peak afternoon!
🐐 Top safety tips: Respect the animal - as harmless as they seem, they can be aggressive if they felt threatened, this is especially true during the mating season! So be sure to take photos from a distance and never get too close to them.

#voyagevibes
Zion National Park is famous for its massive sandstone cliffs, narrow canyons, and diverse wildlife. Here’s a guide to exploring this incredible desert oasis!
🧗 1. Hike Angel’s Landing
One of Zion’s most thrilling hikes, Angel’s Landing takes you up a steep, narrow ridge with chains for support. The views from the top are jaw-dropping, with the entire canyon stretching out below. Just be prepared for a challenging trek!
🌊 2. Wade Through The Narrows
The Narrows is a unique hike through the Virgin River as it winds between towering canyon walls. Wear water shoes and be ready to wade or even swim in sections—this cool, refreshing hike is an unforgettable way to experience Zion from within the canyon.
🦌 3. Watch for Bighorn Sheep in the Eastern Canyon
Bighorn sheep are commonly seen along Zion’s East Entrance, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. Keep an eye out for them climbing the cliffs or grazing along the slopes—they’re one of the park’s most iconic residents.
🚗 4. Take the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive
The scenic drive through Zion Canyon offers breathtaking views of the red rock formations, with pull-offs to see highlights like the Court of the Patriarchs and Big Bend. Consider taking the shuttle to get a relaxed, narrated ride through the heart of the park.
⭐ Top Tips:
Arrive Early – Zion’s popular spots can get busy, so early mornings mean fewer crowds and cooler temperatures.
Dress for Water and Sand – Many trails are rocky or wet, so sturdy water shoes and quick-dry clothing are ideal.
Bring Binoculars – For a closer look at bighorn sheep and other wildlife that make Zion special.
Zion National Park is an adventure lover’s dream, filled with dramatic landscapes, wildlife sightings, and canyons to explore. A visit here will stay with you long after you leave!

A riverside walk at Zion
Zion national park is one of the many natural wonders that bless the South West of the United States.
Before visiting this national park, many people hear or read about some of the more famous hikes such as Angel’s landing which requires a permit and considerable experience or the narrows which can become extremely dangerous during the parks frequent flash flooding.
The good news is that the park and its natural wonders can be discovered through a walk that is neither dangerous or particularly strenuous, the riverside walk.
The 3 mile round trip is relatively flat but along its short journey it takes in some dramatic scenery as you follow the Virgin river towards the narrows.

Zion National Park | Two hiking trails that you must check out in your life.
| Two hiking routes that you must check out in your life. The first stop on the Great Western America Loop—Zion National Park🏞️
If you only stay for one day, you must follow this route👇🏻You can experience the two most famous and interesting hiking routes in Zion at one time🌿
-
🌊 Narrows Wading Hike
Parking spaces inside the park are very hard to get 🅿️ It is recommended to arrive before 7:30 in the morning and navigate directly to Zion Outfitter to rent wading equipment. If the temperature is above 28 degrees that day, there is no need to rent waterproof pants. A set of sticks and wading shoes are required About thirty dollars.
It takes another two or three minutes to drive to the park entrance and buy a ticket for 35🔪 per car or use the National Park Annual Pass. Park your car and go directly to the visitor center to take the shuttle bus🚌 to the last stop, stop 9, get off and follow the crowds👌🏻
The beginning of the trail is a super simple and gentle dirt road of about half a mile. At the end is the water launch point. The waterway is one-way. It takes 8-9 hours to complete the round trip. Personally, I think it is completely unnecessary. We walked in to the narrower water depth. Take photos up to your waist📸It’s already fun just to play! It only took an hour in total. At 12 o'clock, we went down the mountain and returned to the car to rest and start the afternoon activities.

👼🏻Angel Comes Hike
This is a trail that everyone has been praising along the way. Be sure to check it out if you get the chance! You need to log in to the official website to draw the permit the day before🎟️If one of your companions wins the lottery, everyone can go ✅So everyone in your companions needs to participate in the lottery, and at the same time, select the morning, noon and evening of the next day, so that the probability of winning is the highest.
Take the shuttle bus to stop 6 which is the starting point of this trail. It doesn’t matter if you don’t win, the first half of this trail called Scout Lookout can be walked casually, it is still very beautiful⛰️The whole journey takes 3-5 hours. We climbed for 4 and a half hours to take pictures, and the climb is almost 600m🔝
When you enter Angel's Coming, there are almost vertical stone layers, and there is only one iron chain to hold on to. Friends who are afraid of heights will just tell them to leave due to weak legs 🥹 But it is really beautiful! It’s worth the exhausting work all the way🤩If you have Insta360, you can take photos with a super cool perspective❗️
-
🌿Summary: Draw a permit the day before, arrange your itinerary according to the drawn time period, and be sure to arrive before 7:30 in the morning. We went to Narrows early in the morning - took a break at noon - got the permit after 1 o'clock - and went down the mountain at 5 o'clock. The entire trip was off-peak, and almost no one felt comfortable taking photos. Remember to allow at least 30 minutes for taking the bus🚌

A visit to the National Park 🇺🇸
#usatrip
My visit to Zion National Park in Utah was nothing short of magical! 🏞️🌄 With its towering red rock formations, breathtaking canyons, and serene rivers, Zion truly feels like stepping into another world. The entrance fee was $35 per vehicle, which covers entry for seven days—a great deal considering the countless adventures you can have here! 🚗💸
I started my day by taking the shuttle to the famous Angels Landing trailhead. The hike was challenging, with steep switchbacks and narrow paths, but the views from the top were absolutely worth it. Looking out over the valley with the Virgin River snaking below was an experience I'll never forget. 🥾🏜️ For those looking for a less intense hike, the Riverside Walk and the Lower Emerald Pools Trail offer beautiful scenery with less effort.
I also spent some time exploring the Narrows, where you walk through the Virgin River surrounded by towering canyon walls. Be sure to rent waterproof gear from a nearby outfitter if you plan on hiking the Narrows—trust me, your feet will thank you! 🦶🌊 Nearby attractions like Bryce Canyon and the town of Springdale, with its charming cafes and shops, make Zion a perfect base for a Southern Utah adventure. #trip #ZionNationalPark #AngelsLanding #HikingAdventures #UtahNature #TravelDiaries
Magnificent Zion Park
On a mini American road trip we stayed over in Zion National Park for one night.
The first day we explored the near by Grafton Ghost town. This has three empty houses and is down a single track dirt road. Not an easy drive!
The evening we explored Springdale. It was out of season, so a lot of restaurants and cafes were closed and the few the ones open were full!
At sunrise we headed to Canyon overlook, a beautiful view and fairly easy hike. There was very little climb, but the path was small and places.
Next we headed to the Watchman trail. A hard trek, but well worth it for the views. The path was step, rough under foot and small in places.

👣 Unique Hiking Experience at Zion Canyon
#gohiking
The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion Canyon in Zion National Park, Utah. It's a popular & unique hiking experience where you would have to walk through the Virgin River surrounded by towering high canyon walls. This hike involves wading and navigating through water, so bring suitable footwear and a change of clothes. Here, you can also enjoy the stunning views of sculpted sandstone and serene canyon scenery.
Zion National Park
On another captivating journey to the American West, I visited Zion National Park. Upon arrival, I was deeply impressed by the breathtaking scenery surrounding me. Massive rocks painted in shades of red and yellow dominated the scene. I traveled along the hiking trails, enjoying the stunning valleys and waterfalls. I stopped at many highlights to take wonderful souvenir photos. I crossed the trails and reached the viewpoint peak. It was an amazing experience that I enjoyed every moment of, and I was amazed by the enchanting natural beauty of this unique national park.
United States | Zion National Park Visit Experience and Recommendations
🚗 The last national park of this trip, not too many surprises. It is said to be the Top 2 national park in the US last year, which feels a bit exaggerated. The entire park is built in a valley, with mountains, water, and forests. There really are a lot of people, and finding a parking spot takes half a day; it's also one of the few parks that require a shuttle. The park is famous for the Angels Landing trail and The Narrows trail within the park, both of which are fairly well-known trails in the US.
🚗 Visit Experience
1. Indeed, as netizens have said, there are a lot of people, reportedly the second highest in visitor traffic last year.
2. Parking is difficult, the largest parking lot is on the outside, and by the time we arrived after 10 am, it was already full. We were lucky to find a spot at the second stop, and needed to walk back to the first stop to take the bus.
3. There are a total of 9 stops in the park, private cars can enter the first three stops, and the rest can only be accessed by the park shuttle. The shuttle is free.
4. Around the fifth stop inside the park, there is a hotel, which you can consider if your budget allows. However, you probably need to book in advance.
5. Not all stops on the shuttle are two-way; the second and third stops only go one way.
6. To hike Angels Landing, you get off at the sixth stop, and soon after entering the trail, there is a checkpoint to check for permits. If you're only going to Scout Lookout, you don't need to queue, just go to the front and tell the ranger, and you can pass without having to wait in line.
7. Permits need to be applied for online in advance, and it is not recommended to take risks without a permit, as getting caught can result in a $500 fine.
8. The route from stop 6 to the pools along the other side of the river has nice scenery and not much elevation gain; it's worth a visit if you have the time.
9. Currently, the bridge at stop 5 is closed, so if you're going from stop 6 to the trail at stop 5, pay attention.
10. The Narrows water trail is at the last stop, and many people head straight for it upon entering the park. Be cautious of natural disasters and keep an eye on the weather.
11. You need professional waterproof gear and shoes, as well as a support item (usually a walking stick). If you want to hike this trail, make sure to allocate enough time, as walking through water is very tiring and there's no way to exit midway. Many people are seen wearing the same clothes and shoes, which can be rented in the small town outside the park.
12. Pay attention to the last shuttle time in advance, as it varies slightly with the season.
13. There is a tunnel carved out of rock on the way to Bryce Canyon, which is worth a visit if you have the time.
Zion National Park
#thingstodo
Absolutely the best National Park to visit for me. Such soul shaking beauty everywhere you go. I understand why millions come here to Zion. Even with the large crowds, you still can find peace. So much area to explore. All the Zion staff are very friendly as they work hard to try to please the millions. Love the many blended structures that don't obstruct the pristine views. It adds to the natural feel of this stunning park.
Parking is tough to find, though. Shuttle transportation throughout the park is great, however, during the very busy months, it can take ages to hitch a ride. If you come prepared for the crowds at Zion, things will go much smoother. I found that the end of March was less crowded and the weather is warm enough to enjoy walking the many trails. So much more to say about this paradise, but one has to experience it for themselves.
Highly recommend a visit to Zion National Park.
I have been to Zion two times and loved it both times. The first time was in December 2023 and there was a magical dusting of snow everywhere. The second time we hiked Angels Landing and that was one of best experiences of my life. The hike was challenging but well worth the effort.
Zion, Landscapes you have to see to believe!
Zion national park is something you have to see for yourself to fully believe, it’s as if you are on a totally different planet.
About 2.5 hours drive from Las Vegas for 7 from Los Angeles this national park is absolutely stunning. Famous for its ancient landscapes and untouched nature it’s a great way to see a different side of America.
We visited out of season so we were able to drive through the entire park, during season you are only allowed to drive so far and then get on the free shuttle buses.
There’s plenty of places to pull in for photos and a very interesting visitor center so make sure to save time for that!

In addition, Zion also has multiple arch landscapes, among which the Kolob Arch in the northern part of the park is the second largest natural arch after the arch in Arches National Park. Due to its convenient transportation and excellent scenery, Zion National Park is popular among tourists.
In peak season, visitors to Zion National Park need to park their cars at the parking lot outside the park and take a shuttle bus into the park.
