Traditional fair in Sweden 🗺️
#folkactivities
During my recent trip to Sweden, I had the chance to visit a traditional fair, and it was such a unique and delightful experience! 🇸🇪🎡 The fair was held in a charming small town near Uppsala, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The atmosphere was vibrant, with locals dressed in traditional Swedish clothing, stalls full of handmade crafts, and the smell of delicious food wafting through the air. There was no entrance fee, making it easy to wander in and out, enjoying the festivities at your own pace.
One of the highlights for me was watching the folk dances. The dancers, in their colorful costumes, moved so gracefully, and the music played by the live folk band added a magical touch to the whole scene. 🎻 I also tried some classic Swedish foods like herring, freshly baked cinnamon buns, and, of course, a taste of their famous lingonberry jam. The fair was a feast for the senses—there were so many different flavors, sounds, and sights to take in.
In addition to the food and music, there were plenty of games and activities for all ages. I tried my hand at the traditional ring toss and even attempted to carve a small wooden horse at one of the craft stalls. 🐴 The local artisans were so friendly and eager to share their skills and stories.
After enjoying the fair, I took a short trip to Uppsala to explore the impressive Uppsala Cathedral and the charming streets of the old town. If you’re in Sweden, especially in the summer, attending a traditional fair is a must-do. It’s a perfect way to experience Swedish culture and connect with the local community. 🌟

Gallerian
Gallerian is the most centrally located mall in Stockholm, being a mere 3 minute walk away from T-Centralen and Stockholm City Station. The mall's size is on the small side but still boasts 185 different stores and cafes. Gallerian is the perfect choice for shoppers who want a break from the outdoor retail district Drottninggatan, or who want to escape the cold temperatures in the winter months whilst still shopping. 🛍

Holy Smoke BBQ
#afternoonteatime
From parking, to the short walk to the entrance, where you are welcomed by a nice host, easy guided to self serve in finding a free table. We got there at 11:30 am on a Sunday, and then had just been open for 30 min, and there was a big crowd already. But no problem getting a table in the shade. We sat at table no. 41. The staff is top notch hospitality and showed us the line to order food and for toilets, and the little general store (if you want to get bbq stuff, merch etc.).The line for ordering was smooth. Super professional and very well given advice in our order (the menu is huge). We both got a Base Plate with bread, Carolina Slaw, Ginger Cucumber, and tortillas, HOLY's Green Special Sauce and Pickled Onions.overall ok

If you were to stay here for a few days, who would you most want to bring with you!
It feels too comfortable, surrounded by natural scenery, the atmosphere of forests and lakes is quiet and relaxed!
You are wrong, the polar night is not black, but pink
The polar night is not a synonym for black night
The polar night is just the moon stealing the limelight from the sun, the conspicuous package refuses to go home, the sun can only hide under the horizon and silently sprinkle sunlight on the snow.
The snow reflects to the earth, becoming the unique color of the polar night.
They are pink, light purple and light blue gradients and overlays.
A kind of stunning beauty.

Halloween in Sweden 🤩🤩🎃👻
#halloween2023
Halloween in Sweden is a relatively recent but increasingly popular tradition that has found its place among the country's festive calendar. While not as deeply rooted as in some other countries, it has quickly gained traction as a time for spooky fun, costume parties, and, of course, pumpkin carving.
In Sweden, the art of pumpkin carving has become a beloved Halloween tradition. Families and friends gather to select the perfect pumpkin and transform it into a grinning jack-o'-lantern. Many Swedish households compete to create the most creative and eerie designs, with faces, ghoulish patterns, and even elaborate scenes adorning the pumpkins. 👻👻
This practice has brought a new level of creativity to Halloween celebrations, giving everyone a chance to unleash their inner artist. In recent years, local markets and farms have even started offering pumpkin-picking events, adding to the festive atmosphere. 🎃
Swedes may not have the long history of Halloween that other countries do, but their enthusiasm for pumpkin carving and other spooky traditions is undeniable, making it an exciting time for both locals and visitors to enjoy a different, fun side of Sweden.👊🏽👊🏽🤩
Stockholm's Grand Trio: A Walk
#wheretogo
As I strolled through the enchanting streets of Stockholm, I found myself drawn to the majestic trio of institutions that graced the cityscape – the University College of Opera, the Swedish Defense University, and the Royal Institute of Technology. Each was a testament to Sweden's commitment to excellence in various fields, and I couldn't resist exploring the stories they had to tell.
My journey began at the University College of Opera, where the melodious echoes of young voices practicing their arias filled the air. The architecture was a harmonious blend of old-world charm and modernity, reflecting the artistry that bloomed within its walls.
From there, I meandered towards the Swedish Defense University, a fortress of knowledge in both military strategy and diplomacy. Its grand facade exuded strength and determination, a symbol of Sweden's commitment to peace and security.
Finally, I reached the Royal Institute of Technology, a hub of innovation where the future was being shaped. The sleek, glassy structures stood in contrast to the historic charm of the Opera and the martial strength of the Defense University, representing the cutting-edge spirit of Sweden's technological advancements.
As I savored the architecture and ambiance of these remarkable institutions, I felt like a silent witness to the legacy of knowledge, art, and progress that Stockholm had to offer. Each step in this beautiful city was a step through time and into a world of wonder.

My trip to Sweden was an unforgettable experience filled with captivating moments and breathtaking landscapes. One of the highlights was exploring the vibrant city of Stockholm. As I strolled through Gamla Stan, the charming old town, I was transported back in time with its cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. The Royal Palace stood tall, exuding grandeur and history.
Another memorable moment was venturing into the picturesque Swedish countryside. The lush green forests and sparkling lakes provided a serene backdrop for outdoor activities. I embarked on a mesmerizing hike in Abisko National Park, where I witnessed the enchanting Northern Lights dancing across the dark sky—a sight that left me in awe of nature's wonders.
A visit to the iconic Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi was an experience like no other. Spending a night in a room sculpted entirely from ice and snow was both exhilarating and surreal. The intricate ice artistry throughout the hotel was truly impressive.
Immersing myself in Swedish culture, I indulged in traditional dishes such as meatballs, herring, and cinnamon buns. I also had the opportunity to witness the festive Midsummer celebrations, where locals gathered to dance around maypoles and enjoy traditional music and food.
Finally, I cannot forget the warm hospitality and friendliness of the Swedish people. Whether it was engaging in conversations with locals or receiving recommendations for hidden gems, their genuine kindness made my trip even more special.
Sweden left an indelible mark on me, offering a blend of natural beauty, rich history, and welcoming people. It was a journey that awakened my senses and created memories to last a lifetime.#sweden
Northern Europe is simply paradise! ! !
Recently, I traveled to Northern Europe, mainly Norway, Sweden, and Iceland. I found that the natural scenery is really just like that, pure beauty, truly admirable, endless snow-capped mountains. And the rhythm of local life, the feeling of being idle and aimless, can really make people feel very empty, no wonder some works such as "The Scream" were produced. Of course, some people like this kind of silence, some people like lively places, I think it's good to go out and take a look, but living there all the time is too depressing, it depends on the individual. In short, it is still necessary to experience the scenery of Northern Europe once, it is really worth it.

Swedish tranquil lakeside town.
A small town in Sweden called Hjo (pronounced "You"), with a slogan that reads "I love Hjo", must have residents who love their town very much.
Located by a large lake, it is very peaceful and beautiful. Walking in it, it feels like time has stopped.
