🥾🇭🇰 Hiking in Hong Kong 🇭🇰🥾
We completed the coastal path around Hong Kong Island! Totalling 65km, it took us 3 days. Fantastic experience to explore the variety that the island has to offer.
The views were spectacular, of both natural and
urban scenery. Some highlights were Repulse beach (quite the opposite of repulsive), Kennedy town, and the Dragon's Back trail.
Most of the coastal path is on the actual coast, but some stretches require a detour inland. There was a lot of building work happening in the north west of the island, presumably when finished will improve the path in that area.
Top tips: Pre-planning accommodation is essential. Plenty of public toilets on the route. Public transport is also VERY efficient if needed. Highly recommend the walk, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of the best stays in Hong Kong with sea view!
Hyatt Centric is the one family and I chose to stay at during our Hong Kong trip. As everyone should know, Hong Kong is a place with scarce land and hence hotels are all small and expensive. But this Hyatt brand, newly built in the last 3 years exceeded all my expectations!
It was cozy as it comes with a sofa bed so this King Room can fit up to 3 adults with still walking space and luggage to be lay down around. View was amazing.
Price is steep (no surprise) but even the breakfast was top notch. I will definitely be back again soon!
PS: The service staffs some were a hit and miss. Hits are the housekeeping and misses was the check-in staffs unfortunately.

Great Japanese Ramen in Hong Kong
#familytrips2024
Delicious ramen! It’s fully customizable with many options. The broth is amazing, with the noodles, pork and of course an amazing onsen egg (which is a MUST add on!).
The location is a bit hidden away, but finding it is well worth the search! Staff was incredibly nice, and the food was delicious (which is evident by the long queues sometimes).
Our dream destination for our family trip is China as it's rich history, diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine make it a captivating place to visit.

🇭🇰A Lobster-ricious Brunch at Lobster Shack🇭🇰
Lobster Shack🦞Love Shack, baby that’s where it’s at, Lobster Shack @lobstershackhk 😍😋
We recently had the Weekend Brunch opportunity of a lifetime at this cozy ocean vibe Shack of a Lobster on Second Street, Sai Ying Pun🇭🇰
🌊I immediately felt the essence of the beach/seaside upon entering Lobster Shack, my eyes were drawn to the colorful wall paintings of undersea creatures and corals, they even have an aquarium opposite their bar area which you won’t miss it as it’s right at the entrance.
You can choose to sit by the bar for drinks or a quick bite or at the table with their comfy cushioned blue sofas. Wherever you sit, you can expect to feel like you’re in the ocean as you’re surrounded by the oceanic multi-colored wall paintings around.
We were seated at a comfortable spot, right in the middle of the restaurant, with a high table and chairs. I must commend the staff for being very friendly and attentive, and to Puja, for making sure everything was alright.
✨Very evident from their restaurant name, they serve dishes with a lotta love for lobsters that are visually pleasing not just to the eyes but also to the tastebuds, I must say! Totally impressed with the dishes we had and here’s why….Part 1😉
🦞Big Fisherman Breakfast
Ohh I could eat this EVERY.SINGLE.DAY and I wouldn’t complain—the fact that they took the word BIG seriously made my eyes widen up with excitement. So plated were crispy bacon, sunny side up eggs (just the way I like them🍳), a chunky steak, smoked salmon, baked beans in tomato sauce, hash brown, salad, sourdough bread and my favorite, the little ‘crispy-on-the-outside and soft-in-the-inside’ heavenly crab cake which I love. An absolute must-order👍
🦞Benedict Lobster
Talk about an Eggs Benedict twist and you get this masterpiece by Lobster Shack. Served hot with bouncy oozing poached eggs topped on an insanely hefty portion of lobster meat pieces. It was a surprisingly scrumptious dish also served with a hash brown on the side, no doubt one of the best Benedict we’ve had👍
🦞White Sangria
We were served a zesty pitcher of bright, fruity White Sangria, and this just burst with flavors. Best to share with a group as well as the pitcher is good for 3-4 people.

The Magical experience at Disneyland Hong Kong .
Living out my childhood dreams at the happiest place on earth - 香港迪士尼樂園 | Hong Kong Disneyland! 🏰❤️ ✨
I thank God for the amazing experience.
I am a Disney fan for sure. This was a great trip.
We took our Grandson for his first Disney park ever. It did not dissapoint.
Lets start at the end. The fireworks, laser, water and projection show on the Castle is seriously good, always a joy to see what they do.
The wait was worth it. They have done a ripper job and it looks gorgeous.
The new Frozen section of Arendelle is absolutely worth the walk. Both rides are good, the coaster is a fast ride but very short at around 47 seconds. The other ride is pretty special.
So many other great rides as per usual Disney magic. It's a small world is always a great trip.
The Mystic Manor ride actually stopped mid ride which is something I have never ever had happen, we got to walk out in full lights. Very different yet very cool.
All in all, we loved our day at Hong Kong Disney.

Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival Launches Martial Arts Drama Costume and Prop Exhibition
Organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the second Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival (Cultural Festival) adopts the theme 'Both Literary and Martial Arts', featuring a variety of exciting events. Among them, the 'Both Literary and Martial Arts' series includes the 'Classic Martial Arts Drama Costume and Prop Exhibition', which starts on April 17th at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre lobby. The exhibition showcases around thirty pieces of headwear, costumes, and props from television martial arts dramas spanning from the 1970s to the millennium, allowing the audience to relive the classics and experience the martial arts sentiment.
Many well-known martial arts drama series have been adapted from the works of local famous martial arts novelists, including Jin Yong's 'The Return of the Condor Heroes', 'Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils', 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes', 'The Smiling, Proud Wanderer', Huang Yi's 'A Step into the Past', and Liang Yusheng's 'The White-Haired Witch'. Martial arts TV dramas and their related theme songs and soundtracks bring the literary and martial arts scenes from the novels to life. These classic moments have always been an important element of Hong Kong's pop culture, accompanying many viewers as they grew up.
Selected exhibits for this exhibition include: the hero costume worn by Yang Guo in 'The Return of the Condor Heroes'; the elegant and ethereal white dress worn by Little Dragon Girl; the pink outfit worn by Zhou Zhiruo in 'The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber'; and the costume of Princess Changping (Ah Jiu) in 'Sword Stained with Royal Blood'. Prop exhibits include the Dragon Saber from 'The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber', which caused a bloodbath; the Dog Beating Staff, the symbol of the Beggar's Sect leader in 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes'; the flute of 'Eastern Heretic' Huang Yaoshi; the sword of Lian Ni Chang, the protagonist of 'The White-Haired Witch'; the fan of the male protagonist in 'Chu Liuxiang'; and the knife of Li Xunhuan in 'Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Sword'. The exhibition runs until May 5th and will move to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum on May 8th to continue until October 7th.
To enrich the audience's experience, the 'Both Literary and Martial Arts' series also includes the 'Literary Songs and Martial Music Concert'. Veteran musician Au Sui Keung will perform many popular martial arts drama theme songs and his classic hits live. Each concert will also feature performances by young singer Au Hing Chun and a special guest. Additionally, there will be a song request segment, allowing the audience to revisit their favorite tunes.
Edible Flowers and Herbs Exhibition at Hong Kong Park
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold an Edible Flowers and Herbs Exhibition at the Forsgate Conservatory in Hong Kong Park from April 22 (Monday), allowing citizens to closely appreciate the beauty of various edible flowers and herbs of the spring season.
Hong Kong's spring climate is mild with gradually lengthening daylight hours, which is suitable for the growth of different types of edible flowers and herbs. This themed exhibition displays more than 500 plants of different forms of spring edible flowers and herbs, including fragrant marigolds, dwarf hibiscus, dryland lotus, borage, calendula, and a variety of herbs, etc.
The flowers and leaves of fragrant marigolds have a rich aroma and are all edible. The tender leaves can be used for tea brewing and cooking, and planting them in a herb garden is most appropriate.
The light pink flowers of the dwarf hibiscus are small and exquisite, and although they only last for a short day, they bloom continuously.
The flowers, leaves, and rhizomes of the dryland lotus (also known as golden lotus) are all edible, with a taste as sweet and slightly spicy as mustard, and a crisp and juicy texture, also with a unique scent.
As for herbs, the humid spring is particularly suitable for the growth of mint family plants. Common types include green mint (also known as spearmint), peppermint, grapefruit mint, etc.
In addition to displaying more than 30 types of spring edible flowers and herbs, the exhibition also sets up panels to introduce their characteristics, planting tips, and propagation methods. The exhibition will be held from April 22 to June 10, open daily from 9 am to 5 pm at the Forsgate Conservatory, 19 Cotton Tree Drive, Central, Hong Kong Park. Admission is free, and the public is welcome to visit.

Tsz Shan Monastery, Hong Kong
If you would love to know more about the history and art of buddhism, this is a really beautiful place that you must visit. There is a musuem in there that you will find amazing antiques and artifacts (there are 2 zones - photography free and no photography zones)
Additional remarks:
- Pre-booking. There is a strict limit on the amount of tourists per day. Booking must be made in advance through their website, first come first serve.
- Transportation. Not within walking distance from MTR. Bus/taxi/uber is needed, so some “homework” needs to be done prior to your visit.
- Location and time. As the location is not exactly near any other tourist spots, it’s not recommended for those who have a tight schedule.

Tung Chung British Style Hotel, enjoy the British luxury experience!
Today I had the chance to be a gourmet experience officer❤️
Went to a hotel in Tung Chung for Lunch
Of course, I took my mom with me to enjoy
It turns out to be super convenient, located on the 3rd floor of Citygate
The Royal Dynasty is just next door – seeing the sliveri and going up is super easy
After shopping downstairs and getting tired, going up to the 9th floor for a good meal is quite satisfying – they have both outdoor and indoor seating
The environment is very comfortable and it's great for taking photos
From afar, you can even see the airport tim
This time I ordered a burger set
Super juicy~ the fries were fried to a perfect crisp
My mom had the cheese steak sandwich🥪with salad
The pumpkin soup🫣was delicious and we were so full after eating
There are also different coffee choices –
Enjoying in such an environment is really comfortable😌
My favorite was the sparking peach 🍑 tea
Super super delicious😆a fizzy tea
If you want something lighter, you can order jasmine tea
They serve a whole pot of tea🫖

European-style Palace Restaurant in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong - ROYAL INN
ROYAL INN has several branches in Hong Kong, and the one we visited is located at the Royal Castle in Causeway Bay☺️. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by a giant fountain and crystal chandelier, which are incredibly lavish⛲️✨. The decor is designed in a European palace style, making it perfect for taking photos🤍. The space is also very spacious and comfortable~👍🏻
We ordered 2 set lunches, which included an appetizer, main course, and drink😌.
For the appetizer, we had 4 options to choose from, and we both selected the soup of the day - mushroom soup, which was quite rich in flavor and smooth in texture🤎.
For the main course, we ordered:
Spicy Shrimp Cream Handmade Penne (HKD148)
Pan-seared Sea Bream Fillet with Roasted Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes (HKD158)
Spicy Shrimp Cream Handmade Penne: The taste was rich and slightly spicy🔥. The shrimp were fresh and bouncy🍤, and the handmade penne had a nice chewy texture, which was very good!🤤
Pan-seared Sea Bream Fillet with Roasted Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes: The freshness of the sea bream, the crispness of the asparagus, and the smoothness of the mashed potatoes blended together for a rich taste! However, it was a bit too bland for my liking🤏.
For drinks, you can choose any beverage priced at HKD28 or below, or any non-alcoholic drink at half price💫.
We ordered an Iced Latte (+HKD22.5) and an Iced Green Tea Latte (+HKD22.5)😌.
📍ROYAL INN - Shop Nos. 313-314, 3rd Floor, Royal Castle, 311 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay

Bubble Art at West Kowloon
West Kowloon Park always offers excellent installation throughout the year. In March and early April this year, the Kowloon West Fun Festival displays lovely bubbles in the harbor-front lawn of the park. A design studio, Atelier Sisu from Australia, creates the bubbles.
I came here at night, and it was refreshing to immerse the bubbles with different light colors while enjoying the sea breeze. Spring is amazing.

Hong Kong Hotspots | West Kowloon Cultural District | Embracing the Moment of Bubbles Day and Night.
On the second afternoon of the Easter holiday, we went to the West Kowloon Cultural District.
The giant art installation 'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' on the eastern side of the West Kowloon Cultural District's waterfront lawn is one of the recent hotspots for photo opportunities.
'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' is one of the activities of the West Kowloon FUN Art Festival.
The giant 'bubbles' reach up to 9 meters high and are on display at the West Kowloon waterfront from now until April 7th.
'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' was created by the Australian Sydney art team Atelier Sisu and has been exhibited in cities such as Sydney, London, Singapore, and Brussels before, with Hong Kong being the 44th city to host the exhibition.
The 'bubbles' are made of glass filter materials, which show blue and purple colors under the sunlight at different angles during the day.
In addition to the three giant 'bubbles', there are also more than fifty 'small bubbles'.
We also encountered the 'Duckling' promoting 'Art in Hong Kong'.
We went to West Kowloon again on the evening of Ching Ming Festival, and 'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' offers different visual effects during the day and night, making it worth visiting more than once.
The illuminated giant 'bubbles' are too beautiful.
'Night Fun West Kowloon' was an unexpected gain.
Hong Kong Space Museum presents the new 3D dome film 'Polar Extremes 3D'.
Starting from April 1st (Monday), the Hong Kong Space Museum's Stanley Ho Space Theatre will be screening the new 3D dome film 'Polar Extremes 3D', taking audiences on an exploration of Antarctica.
Antarctica is the coldest, driest, and windiest place on Earth. 'Polar Extremes 3D' will lead audiences deep into the Antarctic animal world, starting with a dive beneath the ice into a vibrant underwater world, then returning to the surface to join a large penguin colony, and finally enjoying what may be the most whales ever seen on screen. Whales play a key role in mitigating climate change, and the film not only provides a visual spectacle for viewers but also helps them understand the impact of human overhunting of whales on climate change. With global temperatures rising, the film prompts humans to reflect and take action to protect the Antarctic ecosystem, to prevent climate change from disrupting its balance and further affecting the whole world.
The program is 24 minutes long and will be shown until January 13, 2025. Screening times are 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM on weekdays; and 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM on weekends and public holidays. Ticket prices are 24 HKD (front seats) and 32 HKD (back seats). Tickets are now available at the Hong Kong Space Museum Box Office and URBTIX.
The Hong Kong Space Museum is located at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, and is closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays).

Why I love Hong Kong! 🇭🇰
I lived next to Hong Kong for several years and I would visit almost every weekend so it’s no surprise it’s one of my favorite cities! The city is such a fantastic mix of East meets West! 🌍
In the hustle and bustle of the city you’ll find thousands of shops and restaurants. When you’re not eating or shopping, chase the Hong Kong Tram around or, better yet, ride it for around 2HKD! It’s a great way to see the city and take some cool photos! 🚋
Take a break from the city and walk up Victoria Peak! ⛰️ I’d recommend walking up rather taking the tram as there can often be a line up. The walk isn’t that bad and you’ll be rewarded with some great views at the top. Then you can take the tram back down!
I want to visit Hong Kong because I love getting lost in its concert jungle before taking a break in its fantastic nature 🌳

Culture:
Hong Kong's culture is a vibrant fusion of East and West, reflecting its unique history and diverse population. The blend of Chinese and British influences can be seen in everything from architecture to language, creating a dynamic cultural landscape.
Scenery:
Despite being a bustling metropolis, Hong Kong is home to stunning natural landscapes.
-Visitors can escape the urban hustle and bustle by exploring places like Victoria Peak for panoramic views of the city skyline, hiking trails in the lush greenery of the New Territories, or taking a ferry to the outlying islands for pristine beaches and tranquil fishing villages.
-Visiting Victoria Harbour to see the stunning night skyline is an absolute must when in Hong Kong. As the sun sets, the cityscape transforms into a mesmerizing display of lights, with skyscrapers illuminated against the darkening sky, creating a breathtaking panorama.
-Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, hopping on a harbor cruise, or enjoying dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants, experiencing the glittering beauty of Victoria Harbour at night is an unforgettable experience that truly captures the essence of Hong Kong's vibrant energy and cosmopolitan charm.
-Disneyland Hong Kong is a must-visit destination for both children and adults alike. With its magical attractions, thrilling rides, and enchanting parades, it promises a day filled with joy and wonder. Don't miss out on iconic dishes like roast goose, wonton noodles, pineapple buns, and egg tarts, as well as innovative fusion creations that push the boundaries of traditional flavors.
I really enjoy watching Hong Kong movies and TV dramas, so I'm eager to experience the places where the characters in the dramas live. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Hong Kong and immerse myself in the experience.
