On the day we planned to see the Giant Buddha, we first visited the Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market. According to some guides, you can take a boat from here to see the Buddha. After trying it ourselves, here's what we found: there are many boat piers at the market. The regular boats cost 100 baht per person, but note that these boats do not pass by the Buddha; they only stop at places like orchid gardens and take about 1.5 hours round trip. To see the Buddha, you need to cross the bridge to the opposite side and take a boat that costs around 2000 baht. Finding the regular boat a waste of time and the Buddha boat too expensive, we decided to take a taxi to the alley with the Buddha (location ①). We strolled to the riverside and took a boat, which was a very chill and worthwhile experience! I didn't expect to have such fun in Thailand! This is the first time I knew that I could go whale watching at sea in Thailand 🐳 We rented a luxury boat for this whale watching day tour, 2,300 THB/person.
