The Victoria Harbour – including the Inner Harbour – is one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. The harbour has had a long history, starting with its use by First Nations. Recreational vessels and small cruise ships can moor in the centre of this famous heritage city, just steps from its historic streets and distinctive architecture.
A glance at the buildings of Victoria will remind of the legacies of the great Victorian architecture.

ferry and road trip (Canada and America)
#celebratewithtrip I start off from Victoria ,British Columbia, Canada located southern end of Vancouver Island. view here was stunning and quite laid back . From here I took a ferry to Port Angeles located at states of Washington , United States . Ferry itself take about 90min and the place was very peaceful and not much crowd . Over here I rent a car and begin my road trip back to Vancouver main island . Passing by few small town like Sequim , Port Townsend, Port Ludlow before reaching Washington State’s largest city Seattle . Home to the first Starbucks. From Seattle Will heading up north to Peace Arch which is the border crossing with Canada . Before you do this makes sure you inform the car rental company you will be driving cross border and return other there. It was a fun trip which I get to see many nice view and most of the small town in Washington States are not infect with tourist so can have good picture taking opportunities. what a trip which take me around 20days #spooktaculartrip

Victoria, B.C
Another great day trip! This was my first bus tour and while I didn’t care for the people I was on the bus with I had a great time in Victoria. Started with a long boat ride which I loved and it was a great time for some to catch up on sleep. Then we went to downtown Victoria and China town. A really cute town with unique sights, town hall, the harbour and China town are all so different. Last stop was Butchart Gardens. I won’t lie I did not expect much, I like exploring but a garden would never have been on my radar. It was amazing! Really. Flowers of all kinds everywhere and nothing looked the same at all. Always new things to look at, I think I took the most photos here. There were some crowds but it’s done in a way that the line keeps moving. If there are is people in the way give it a second they will move on soon. #victoria #bc #canada

Small, fun capital of BC
Victoria is around an hour's ferry ride away from Vancouver and another 40 mins bus ride to the city center.
It's a lovely small city that's charming and very picturesque. Of course, you have to visit the Parliament building, which is a grand building with lovely domes overlooking the harbor. The garden area around the building is also a very nice stroll.
The harbor area is full of energy and life, and there always seems to be something going on. It's also a good place to stroll along and get lovely views of the water.
There's also a Chinatown in the city which offers many cool narrow alleys. You can also get some Chinese food here.
A bit afield, there's the market for the beginning (or end) of the long TransCanada highway. A nice sign marks that point and the area is also has great sea views.
Overall Victoria is a great day trip from Vancouver. It's calm and quaint and offers you several attractions! This city is full of greenery!

Victoria Chinatown
Chinatown is one of the oldest districts of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Many buildings date to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when reformers associated with Sun Yat-sen organised opposition to the Qing Dynasty from here.
Today Chinatown remains one of the best places to get Chinese food in the city and is a popular tourist destination.
Chinatown is just a short walk from the Inner Harbour, where float planes and helicopters from Vancouver and ferries from Washington State arrive, and not far from the cruiseship terminal.

At dusk, our Ruby Princess Cruise and two other cruise ships are docked in Victoria, Canada, the most prestigious coastal city on Vancouver Island, the capital of British Columbia, Canada. Three large cruise ships docked, and thousands of people rushed off the boat. Victoria's small city streets were full of tourists. Almost all the shops sold souvenirs. We walked along the waterfront and walked to the parliament building. Beautiful night view of Victoria.
Old Lake Walker.
Victoria has two of the most popular activities, one is whale watching and the other is to visit the Butchart Gardens.
The last time I watched a whale was in Florida, the second time I was still super excited. I watched the whales slammed a little out of the water and everyone cheered excitedly. The people on the shore were tents. Also excited to run along the coast to watch.
I feel very envious when I feel that there is nowhere to go with Miss Fu on the weekend. I can camp here so that I can watch whales at such a close distance. Don't be too excited. The baby in Figure 3 was brought out by Dad so happy, watching us take pictures and he looked like a slap in the face.
just didn't see the whale splashing, but I can see it already very lucky.

I'm already missing Victoria.
There are generally 4 options for non-self-driving travel from Vancouver to Victoria. The first is to join a day tour departing from Vancouver, the second is to take a seaplane directly to Victoria, the third is to take the BC Ferries Connector operated by Wilson's Group to Victoria, and the fourth is to take public transportation to Victoria and back in one day.
Public transportation is simply a combination of bus + ferry + bus.
🚌Vancouver Bus: Take the 620 bus from the bus station under the Bridgeport station of the Canada Line to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. It's a double-decker bus and you can use a Compass Card.
🚢Ferry: BC Ferries, between Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. There are many departures throughout the day. You can buy tickets in advance on the official website. Some departures have discounted prices. You can change the number of people, date, and departure up to 2 hours before the ferry departs. The difference in price will be refunded or supplemented after the change. You can cancel before 12:00 the day before. Arrive at the terminal half an hour before departure to exchange for a paper ticket. If you arrive too early or too late, you may not be able to exchange your ticket. If you're lucky, you can see killer whales during the voyage.
🚌Victoria Bus: Routes 70, 71, and 72 run between Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and Legislature Exchange (downtown Victoria). Route 75 runs between Butchart Gardens and Legislature Exchange. Route 82 runs between Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and Butchart Gardens. Ask the driver to buy a DayPass (CAD 5/person) when you get on the bus. Only cash is accepted, no change is given, and Compass Cards are not accepted.
Here is the actual itinerary for the day for reference:
The 620 bus departs from Bridgeport Station at 6:45, arrives at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal at 7:18 to exchange for a paper ticket, the ferry departs at 8:00, arrives at Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal at 9:35, the 72 bus departs from the terminal at 9:57, arrives at Saanichton Exchange at 10:28 to transfer to the 75 bus departing at 10:33, arrives at Butchart Gardens at 10:51, the 75 bus departs from the park gate at 12:52, arrives at Legislature Exchange at 13:39, the 71 bus departs from Legislature Exchange at 16:05, arrives at Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal at 17:16 to exchange for a paper ticket, the ferry departs at 18:00, arrives at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal at 19:35, the 620 bus departs from the terminal at 19:55, and arrives at Bridgeport at 20:25. The bus and ferry schedules may be updated. Please refer to the official latest schedule for details.
It takes about two hours to take a quick tour of Butchart Gardens. There are many people during the peak tourist season and the tickets are not cheap. The Victoria Parliament Building is free to visit. You need to go through a security check to enter. You can sit on the steps at the entrance to enjoy the view and the breeze. Generally speaking, a day trip to Victoria from Vancouver requires an early start and a late return, and most of the time is spent on the road. You also need to choose which attractions to visit. Therefore, if time permits, it's more relaxing to stay on the island for one night in terms of both physical strength and sightseeing.

Victoria's "Mirror in the Sky".
Tyrrell Lake is a canvas for photographers to unleash their creativity!
It is considered one of the most spectacular stargazing spots in Victoria. Far from light pollution and with no obstructions, you'll feel like the starry sky is endless. It's so spectacular!
At sunrise and sunset, the afterglow of the sun changes into a riot of colors, reflected on the tranquil surface of the shallow lake... At this moment, you can almost hear your own breathing.

A must-stay at Oak Bay Beach when visiting Victoria Island!
🍀Oak Bay Beach Hotel is a must-stay when visiting Victoria Island! 😆😆
🍀Hotel decoration🕍🌅
The hotel is decorated in a classic European style. Although it is very retro, the facilities are all new and not old at all! The stream and star lights in the garden are very delicate, and it is a hotel full of details!
🍀Three swimming pools🏊♂️🏊♂️
All are heated, no matter how cold the weather is, you can jump in and soak, very warm! And the swimming pool is open until late, from 7am to 11pm, unlike many hotels that close at 7pm. You can go for a soak after dinner and watch the sunset by the way! (But you have to be 16+ to go for a soak, not for children.)
The swimming pool faces the endless sea, and the scenery is amazing!! There is a small road next to the swimming pool that leads to the beach. If you are brave enough, you can go to the beach to play in the water. The lobby manager said that sometimes you can see killer whales and whales in the sea.
🍀Comfortable accommodation🛏🛏
We booked a one-bedroom suite, ocean view. The room faces the sea, not a corner sea view, it's really beautiful! The room is quite large, with complete facilities, kitchen, bathtub, and fireplace. And they are really generous, with toothbrushes and toothpaste (I haven’t seen them provided for many years), a jar of cotton pads and cotton swabs, and four pairs of slippers and bathrobes for two people. These sincere little details really touch me!
🍀Convenient location🚗🚗
The hotel is located in a residential area, very quiet and safe. Walk one or two hundred meters to a small pier, where you can see the sea, and you can go down to the beach along the stairs. If you drive by yourself, it is more than ten minutes drive from the city center, and it is also more than ten minutes drive from Chinatown, which is also very convenient.
🍀The overall stay experience is very good, I feel that they are really working hard on the details to improve the guest experience, a very sincere hotel!

🌟 Victoria's Gem: Discover Hotel Grand Pacific 🌟
📍 Hotel Grand Pacific, 463 Belleville St, Victoria, BC, Canada
Nestled in the heart of Victoria, the Grand Pacific is a traveler's delight! 🏨 With stunning vistas from newly renovated rooms, it's a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Foodies, rejoice! The hotel's own restaurant serves up scrumptious meals with a view. Imagine savoring local flavors while gazing out at the bustling street scenes. 🍽️👀
Craving a serene escape? Opt for a sea-view room with a balcony. It's tranquility with a touch of grandeur, right next to the historic legislature building. Plus, ample parking means one less worry for road trippers (though do remember, it's paid!). 🚗💨

Affordable and Delicious High Tea
High tea at the Pendray Inn and Teahouse is the best experience ever!!
I mean you could go to the Empress Hotel. The servers are absolutely wonderful but so is the price tag.
If you’re simply just after a nice friendly cozy high tea experience, I prefer the Pendray. The servers are just as charming and the food exquisite and very affordable!!! Even the locals love it and will stop by for tea.
The building is very well kept and it’s a skip and walk away from fisherman wharf or the waterfront!
The scones are delicious! Highly recommended! And the earl grey tea is so fragrant.

Fisherman’s wharf! Best oysters I’ve ever tasted
If you’re in Victoria, then you have to check out Fisherman’s Wharf!
Barbs is a staple for fish and chips and is the first place you see once you walk down the ramp if you’re not distracted by all the colourful little boat houses. Please be respectful as much as it’s a tourist attraction people do live in those cute houses.
As much as barbs is staple I think the new up and coming seafood spot is the fish store which is close by. Their oysters are so fresh and affordable. We also sampled their fish and chips very light and crispy!!!
You might catch a seal or sea otter near the wharf but remember not to feed them!!! Otherwise the seagulls will fight you for your delicious food!
If you get tired from all the food. One of the stops along the water taxis route is this area. You can hop on a water taxi for a fee and it will whisk you away to the other side of the downtown harbour. It’s a great way to see the downtown core.

Empress Hotel- Long Live the Queen
Never thought I would be here!! Visiting where the royal family had tea!! I bought some tea at the gift shop to enjoy!!! Even if you don’t stay here. It’s just breathtaking to walk through such a historical building. Or even just grab a drink at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere.
The crystal ballroom, the tea area, the q bar and lounge. Look up at the crystal chandelier in the lobby, the elegant staircase, the wood detailing in the ceiling! All breathtaking. #localguides #familytrip #historicallandmarks
