We drove through these forest roads, in the winter where it had just snowed. That's one of my favorite things, when the beautiful pine trees in Washington get covered by snow.

A Winter Hike Up Rattle Snake Trial
You do not always need a tough long tedious hike to be rewarded with a magnificent view at the top. Do you know that there is a hike located just a 45mins drive away from seattle which is located very near North bend!
Rattlesnake hike starts off at rattle snake Trialhead which is located at Snoqualmie Valley Trail, North Bend, WA 98045. This is a simple hike that takes you less than 2 hours to hike to the top and back. This hike is popular with many locals too where you can see even in winter, some would just dress like they are out for a jog and without water. But, I do recommend to still bring water and food as the top is a wide area of flat rocks that you can seat on to enjoy the view from above overlooking the Snoqualmie Valley which can be breathtaking! And this is also one of the many hikes that stays open thruout the year, just that during winter some minor places here gets abit slippery, but you will get by it!

White House
The White House is the official residence of the President of the United States, and should be on the top of your list of things to see in Washington. This historic structure has been the home of every president except George Washington. Lafayette Park is on the north side of the White House; beyond is a pedestrian-only zone, full of interesting characters, and an excellent spot to get a great photo.
It was originally built by James Hoban in 1792 and, after being burned down by British forces in 1814, was rebuilt in 1818. Tours of the White House are free, but reservations must be made a minimum of three weeks in advance. Strict security rules are always in effect.
