Started bad and ended bad. Small issue but git in after 550 mile drive and asked if coffee was served all day and was told yes so I went over to get a cup but the decaf was out, no big deal. Went to the room and it was very cold so adjusted the heater/ac unit and promptly left to go to see family. Had set thermostat on unit to 76 but when we walked into the room on return it was stifelling hot. Reset to cool and in a couple of hours it was really cold. That was just the beginning. Entry light switch was not working properly and was wired in reverse and then had to push the switch in from at the bottom to get the light on. Suffered through a second night of heat and cold issues before they changed or room on Thanksgiving morning. Checked heat and was working properly so off we went. Came back and turned faucet on to warm to wash my hands and it never got hot so went to the desk again, now 9pm and I was beat after no sleep for 2 nights and they discovered that the faucet had been plumbed in reverse. Also sink had a big triangular crack in it that would definitly leak water. . Put the bath towel down on the floor and it was so ratty, holes in it and thread bare big time. Breakfast bar was nothing but low end sweet rolls and Nature Valley bars. Also had an egg, bacon cheese sandwich that was wrapped in celophane that had been frozen and needed to be microwaved. They offered a 50.00 refund and I wanted a 1 night comp for all the inconvenience and no sleep and I told that was an insult. Oh yes and soap wrapper laying in the bottom of the shower. There was more but this should be enough for you to not stay there, just very poor maintenace and also housekeeping.

Everything is perfect except room service. Breakfast being the best part. And the coffee is all day out for guests and there are plenty of stores and food places really close. I hop next door. Golden corral is across the street.

Pretty nice hotel. Location is great. It’s right off the interstate. Has an IHoP across the parking lot plus a large mall across the street with lots of eating places. Staff was super friendly. The property is older but looks like it was renovated within the last couple of years. Room was clean and A/C worked great. Our room only had a shower but that’s what we wanted. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Comfortable bed. Very nice buffet breakfast. Hotel has laundry and exercise room available. Only negative thing was noise. Walls are thin and there was noise from adjoining rooms and from outside. All rooms open to the outside so I expected the outside noise. Overall, for the price, you can’t beat it.

Do not stay here. Save yourself the trouble and book at another hotel in the area. We didn't make it ten minutes before returning the room key and finding another property in town. Before sharing our experience, I would like to thank IHG for the refund. We booked with points, and we're afraid it would be nonrefundable, despite the hotel not following through on basic necessities. Here's why no one - absolutely no one - should stay here: the hotel is filthy. Really gross. Nasty. The check in process was weird, but easy enough although we should have been alarmed when they didn't ask for ID. We were given a room on the 4th floor. The hotel has clearly been renovated within the last 2 years (modern furniture with minimal scuffing) but somehow the carpet is already stained. It looked like maybe there was gum on the carpet? That could be overlooked, but everything was sticky. It was bizarre. There were sticky stains on the walls. The floors were sticky. The microwave was sticky. It's like someone sprayed a soft drink over every surface and never bothered to wipe it down. Which was nasty but the worst part is the toilet didn't flush. And when we masked for a different room, not only was the clerk indifferent but the second toilet did not flush either. That room had sticky floors as well. I'm not sure what was happening or has transpired in those rooms, but we didn't hang out. The clerk at the front desk didn't seem surprised by any of this, but wasn't especially accommodating either (not sure what she could have done?) and I have never been happier to leave a hotel. While I should have known when we walked into the smell of vomit that this wasn't the best option, we actually chose this property due to the positive reviews. My goal right now is to save someone the same trouble.

My trip was on the weekend of 4th of July! Pretty busy! The hotel had a policy of just changing the towels and if the guest needs extra services like making the bed, cleaning the floor and the room (sand), the guest has to put a request. I don’t know if this is an year long policy or only on busy times but I like to have the full services all the time specially when the hotel is beach front and inevitable to have sand on clothes, towels and shoes. They did a good job with the entertainment for the kids. Plenty of activities at the pool. PS: the swimming pool is basically for the kids - no quite time for adults. Well, it’s July!!! The room was large (a bit old), and the view was incredible!
