This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel: 1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient. 2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids. An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

This is truly what a hotel should be like. From service to rooms, quality, and class, it perfectly matches the price, exceeding expectations. The stay was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is right by the Yellow River, offering expansive river views. Walking into the lobby, the first impression was stunning, with a strong sense of design. Opened in 2020, it’s been 6 years, but all facilities in the entire hotel are incredibly well-maintained, with no signs of age or wear; the maintenance level is top-notch. The guest rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the details are well-executed. The staff are professional and polite, and service response is prompt. If you're coming to Lanzhou and want to stay by the Yellow River, you can't go wrong with this hotel. It’s a high-quality hotel from my journey to Hexi.

The location of the homestay is good, the window is a beautiful view, and you can enjoy a slow life when you sit in the room. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the decoration is warm and comfortable. It is definitely a good choice for travel. It is more worth mentioning that the boss and his wife operate with care, sincere and kind, and enjoy washing and drying for the guests, and relieve the trouble of the journey. If you have the opportunity to come to Zhagana again, you will still choose this homestay!

👍✨️⛱️Absolutely loved my stay! The room was meticulously cleaned, the bathroom spotless, and the location was fantastic – super convenient for getting around. The room itself was spacious and bright, hygiene was impeccable, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The service was warm, professional, and very responsive. Facilities were comprehensive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This place offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit, it's a must-choose when in Zhangye!

I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.

The hotel is very close to Crescent Lake, with a night market right downstairs featuring Alibaba BBQ and various stir-fries and grilled dishes. The hotel restaurant on the first floor has an elegant ambiance. Although the breakfast selection isn't huge, it caters to various tastes with options like rice noodles, lamb noodle soup, and tofu pudding. The highlight for me, as a tea lover, was the excellent selection of teas available. The staff's service attitude was exceptional; I called them in the early hours about something I hadn't confirmed, and they quickly sorted it out for me. As a member, I also received a free room upgrade to a twin room with 1.5m beds. Our family trip was very enjoyable.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Shazhou Night Market. The room decor is also very nice. I forgot to take pictures of breakfast, but they had a great selection of cold dishes, hot dishes, fruits, and drinks. There's parking available right in front of the hotel and also an underground garage. In the evening, after visiting Crescent Spring, we took the free shuttle bus that drops you near the hotel, and it was only a 7-8 minute walk back to rest. So convenient! Plus, the room even has a bathtub, perfect for the kids to soak in after a tiring day. From its location to its service, this hotel is simply perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dunhuang!!

I came for the beautiful public decor and the desert dune view, and it did not disappoint! The stay was also very comfortable; the cleaning staff did an excellent job, making for a super great experience. It's very close to the Mingsha Mountain parking lot, making access to and from the scenic area very convenient. Getting to Mogao Grottoes in the morning was also quick, only a 20-minute drive! The environment is peaceful, and it happened to be sunny during my two-day stay. This location, free from city lights, offers a crystal-clear view of the stars – perfect for stargazing enthusiasts! It's also not far from the city center, about a 10-20 minute drive if you're self-driving. Breakfast is usually at 8 AM, but they were also able to provide an early packed breakfast for us when we needed to leave early. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

If life is a never-ending journey, then the camping trip at the Desert Star Hotel is undoubtedly a highlight of my journey. When I arrived at the campsite, the first thing that attracted me was the unique tent house. Unlike regular tents, the top of the tent is made of special transparent materials, like a huge viewing platform, which builds a bridge of communication between me and the vast galaxy. As night fell, I couldn't wait to lie on the soft bed, and when I looked up, the bright starry sky was presented to me without reservation. The stars twinkled, like gems inlaid on the black sky, beautiful as a dream. At that moment, the world seemed to press the mute button, and the impetuousness and noise in my heart were instantly soothed. The unique beauty of this quietness made me intoxicated. It is worth mentioning that the hotel staff is very considerate. After placing the order, the customer service guy at the front desk added our contact information and gave us some local travel tips, which saved us a lot of time. From the warm reception at check-in, to the careful guidance during the activities, to the warm greetings at night, every detail made people feel cared for. They not only provided me with thoughtful service, but also made me feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of the desert people. This desert camping trip not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the desert, but also experienced exciting and interesting activities, which became an eternal and beautiful memory in my heart.

I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels.
